It's great fun for me watching the group of you discover these parks that I've been to so many times myself. Though I don't always agree, I appreciate how thoughtful your critiques are. BTW, since you liked the Coney Island area so much, for your next trip to the U.S., you should investigate going to a few of the many seaside resorts in New Jersey. They are on a smaller scale than in Brooklyn, of course, but they do have that old-timey ambiance that so many of the UK seaside resorts do.
8:13 that shows how tall Kingda Ka is when is peeks over Mark's head when he was next to you and Kingda Ka was way in the distance. 8:42 is also terrifying, as Kingda Ka is off-screen and stretches along a quarter of it when El Toro, a 180' coaster is dwarfed by it. I'm a long way away from even hypercoasters but I will eventually be able to put myself on Kingda Ka
Another great vlog gents, glad to hear so much love for Balder, man I love that ride, told you, it blew me away more than Helix in a way, as I wasn’t expecting it.
@@yourexperienceguide Been on both and for me, theres no comparison. Good job we're all different. Would've lived to go on Son Of Beast. That would've separated the men from the boys.
Wigan Gaz That’s fair enough and there’s no doubting that El Toro has incredible drops and airtime but much like an RMC, the restraint wrecked it for me.
Thanks for this! Heading to America next year and visiting here. Wanted to go to cedar point but unfortunately it's in the completely wrong area to where I wanna go
Sean Willis Hey Sean, thanks for watching and commenting, we’ve also done a stand-alone review video about Great Adventure too; ruclips.net/video/TobCfIw0_zQ/видео.html Having done CP at the end of this trip, I wouldn’t really advise merging them in together, even with the parks in between the driving wore us all out by half way through our trip.
This park is a bucket list park. Would love to ride El Toro. Kingda Ka doesn’t appeal to me (would do it for the cred tho) Drop towers scare the crap out of me big time! Making me want to book a trip now!
RCS Reviews Mike wasn’t with us the whole day but did get on Nitro and loved it, the day eventually became a chase for credits before the big storm kicked in.
I lived and worked in NYC for the year in 2009 so I had an annual pass and was at the park every other weekend. Absolutely loved El Toro. It was much smoother back then but just as wild. Nitro was a surprise. Most re-rideable coaster at the park. We need a B&M hyper in UK. Kingda da didn't do much for me tbh. Went on it loads but always felt underwhelming however I was bricking it the very first time.
Pleasure Beach Experience I just did Lex Luther drop of doom it wasn’t bad as long as Super man isn’t running at the same time. I feel like the drop on drop tower at kings island is significantly more forceful
@@yourexperienceguide oh yeah I know what it's like, I believe the safety aspect but the cynic in me thinks its a money earner like you said in the vlog. Still I bet seeing and hearing mullets reaction was priceless and worth the trip alone lol.
@@yourexperienceguide i can't compare but hopefully i'll be attending your America 2021 trip so i'll be able to compare the two. So excited to try a strata coaster with Lap bars

@@yourexperienceguide i can't wait to try it out among with the rest of the coasters there, urgh this damn virus is such a pain i work as a ride host at Alton Towers and seriously have had enough of it, it has seriously ruined everything
I just went here for the second time recently. I rode a lot of the rides for the first time. I don’t mind flying coasters. I didn’t do Joker because we were low on time and I have mixed feelings on spinning rides. I only got on torro once on a fairly empty train so it was a little rough. But it still slapped! So did Nitro. Kah left me a little flat. It needs Mavarik or TTD’s restraints. Batman is too compact and intense for me. I preferred Bizarro. More spread out and better inversions. Mine train is super rough and I skipped out on Green Lantern this time. I wanted to keep my brain cells. Superman is fun. Good pretzel loop. Very graceful. Don’t ride kah in the back!!! Sit in the front! Every US enthusiast knows that. Now you do too.
Out of interest, Scott, how would you rank Nitro in comparison to other B&M hypers you've done? I know you've done Shambhala, Silver Star and Mako, so how does it compare to those? I've only done Mako, and it's my number 1 coaster, so Nitro is a bucket list ride for me!
Wow! Really gives me confidence that I've ridden one of the better B&M hypers; as the fact that it's my number 1 implies, I thought it was absolutely stunning in 2016! Bucketloads of really strong airtime, so smooth and just genuinely so amazing; a firm 10/10 from me! Anyway, I look forward to the rest of your trip! All the vlogs have been great so far!

Another great, honest vlog 👍🏻 Really enjoyed hearing the different opinions from everyone Don’t feel bad about the lack of any POV’s or off ride footage in ANY of these American vlogs, you were there to get the creds first & foremost whilst enjoying with your fellow enthusiast friends 👍🏻🍻
Also what’s that coaster you keep comparing to? Is it another intimin prefab? I got lots of floater on Nitro. But I do agree the locker system takes forever.
Have you been to magic mountain? I know mullet has, but i really would love a vlog! Its my home park only 45 mins away so as a kid we went there often. Yes its probably one of the least themed and its operated by purely teenagers but its still a fun park. Batman, tatsu, scream, and twisted colossus make it worth it. Goliath could be better, x2 is overrated, riddlers revenge is the best standing coaster, but still a standing coaster lol. Superman is decent, revolution is solid, viper is decent, gold rush is a classic, ninja is always very scenic and a few other middle of the road coasters.
Great Adventure is a great park, it destroys you though. The operations are amazing and I thought the staff were exceptional and blew me away compared to other SF properties. El Toro is amazing but the trains/restraints wreck it for such intense ride with extreme ejector the trains do not work. The VIP safari is a incredible 2nd or 3rd day here. You get close to all the animals with feeding and grooming some extoic animals.
It's weird because Kingda Ka doesnt actually look all of the 450ft that, it is. Can definitely understand why yous didn't manage to re-ride stuff due to the faffing of the lockers like yous said. Is it really needed for the likes of a mobile phone etc I'm not so sure :/ On a side note that food actually looked the part on first glance but then I take your lads words that it is was dire haha
keno051 El Toro is huge but only about half the size of KK, but I think it takes some of the edge of how high KK looks. The locker faff was extremely annoying, I don’t mind doing it but it just takes way too long, it doesn’t seem to take that long at Cedar Point which has the same system.
The issue with the lockers more than anything seems in part to do with dollar bills and the terminals rejecting them, wouldn’t be half the faff with pound coins. Additional terminals would massively speed it up
Hold up ..lol .. .. Did he just put El Toro and Boulder Dash in the same sentence ? They aren't in the same park !!.... Hell, they ain't even the same sport ! (If it is indeed Boulder Dash he was referring too)
