TV and media production is the application of digital technology to the production of video and audio media in the form of DVD, TV, web development, music and film. The media landscape has changed significantly in recent years and increasingly personnel working across the media spectrum are required to have competency in a range of areas such as design, production, content creation, editing and management skills. This four-year honours degree programme offers practical hands-on experience for students with access to high-quality production facilities including a dedicated TV and audio studio and editing suite with all of the latest editing and animation software. The practical focus of the programme is reflected in the modules which includes sound design; digital imaging; new media technology; movie appreciation and script writing; TV production; light and sound; digital media production; film making; production management; web technology; computer animation; media law and enterprise.
