Actually I did nothing about it. I just kept plenty of plants, including water lettuce, and they helped maintaining water extremely clean always. I didn't even need any filtration once they start to thrive.
@@MLP4242 Probably because the Bolivian is usually referred to as M. altispinosus, not M. ramirezi, which is the generic "Ram" typically referring to the German Blue or Gold variety. Latin names are complicated so I dunno if it's correct but you get the idea.
The music made me emotionally connected to this little family of fish.
Beautiful Rams!
Not sure if i can get your reply, but how to differentiate male and female? They seem so similar and both colourful
Generally, males have relatively sharper, pointy ends of their fins than females, and slightly more saturated colors as well.
What did they spawn on ?
Can't remember... Maybe on the sand floor? Not sure.
Great video, they can colour up nice. What did you feed? Or do you attribute it mostly to the breeding colour?
What do you do about your water parameters?

Which is the mother?
You can tell from the tail. Males have the extended spines on top and bottom. Females stop in line with the fin
Actually I don't think it's that easy to tell. The fins can be both shapes on male and female.
Nice
nice video.bad title
lol why

Justan Ghozzst "Bolivian Ram" is the common name for mikrogeophagus altispinosus.
@@MLP4242 Yeah, that's what I just explained about the title.
@@justanghozzst8218 In my opinion the title is correct.
