Awesome! I've been up Pikes Peak many times but I wouldn't even hike that path, much less ride a bike down it!!!

It is one trail. We did encounter a number of hikers, but sight lines are pretty good, particularly above tree line. No matter how slow you go you still end up surprising or scaring some people, but we certainly weren't running hikers off the trail. We didn't see any other bikers on the upper portion of the mountain, and not many others on the lower portion.

An excellent pioneering down-hill from Pikes Pea. Including a crash at 11:30-11:31. Is there any earlier recorded attempt to descend notorious Barr Trail on wheels?

How did you get to the peak? By bike? Shuttle? Train?

Hi! So I'm hiking this in a week or so--curious, is this also where the hikers hike? I know they hike Barr Trail, but is there one area for hikers, and a separate for bikers? Did you run into any hikers whilst riding? I'd be afraid to bike this area, so steep! Very impressive video!

I'm sure you'd be fine. The switchbacks on the upper section are pretty tight, but once you're through there should be fine.

A good rider will spend 2ish hours on the trail. An average rider, like myself, takes about 3-3.5 hours...
