- Many of you have seen the movie Oppenheimer, atomic bombs and all. So, with the imminent threat of a nuclear war once again, I decided to film a secret Soviet military bunker in Moscow! This is Bunker 42 💥
During the Cold War, the Soviets and Americans faced an arms race. In order to balance out the weapons of mass destruction after Americans bombed Japan, the Soviets decided they needed a nuclear bomb of their own. But Stalin decided to take these secrets underground…into a bunker! It was here, in Bunker 42, 65 meters underground, where Stalin had a a once-secret military complex, bunker, and communication center in Moscow, Russia, near the Moscow Metro. So what is this place like? Is there a famous nuclear button? And would an American be allowed in this bunker today? Let’s go and find out…🚀

13:17 important sentence. We are thankful to Russia for the balance of power and protecting others from hegemony, dominance of usa, europe.
1971 war when USSR saved India from nuclear strike of usa. Saved India from hegemony, dominance of usa.
True
Same with Stanislav Petrov who saved the world from nuclear armageddon when he judged a nuclear early-warning system that detected multiple launches from the USA to be a false alarm and didn't fire back 😨😌
Aleksandra, you keep showing us interesting things about great Russia. May the Lord be with you, and the Russian people!🙏❤💪
Thank you ❤
RuSSia is a terrorstate an Putin gives a shit on the russian people.
I'm a Russian culture enthusias- learning the language and would soon start my travel on former Soviet states. Love your channel! Greetings from London, GB. ❤
Are you a commie?
Very impressive work, when we think the Soviet Union has suffered such an amount of loses in WWII. But it was necessary, as we know from recent declassified documents, bouth UK and USA had detailed plans for nuclear war against Soviet Union. Good job! 😮👍
The last part was actually like a film scene.
Hahaha glad you enjoyed it 😂
I dream of visiting Russia someday. Greetings from Macedonia! 🇲🇰🖤🇷🇺
You're always welcome!
Just amazing how the URSS built this :) , thats why Russia is going to be always a power nation 🇷🇺, loved how Sasha did the video !
Thank you! ❤
Metro/Fallout vibes right here. If I'm going to Russia, this is the next stop.
the guy is funny, he takes the role very seriously 😁
Nicely done! The opening was very well done. As an American, I never thought I'd get a glimpse of Stalin's bunker office!! Thanks.
Stalin never used this bunker. He died in 1953. His mannequin is placed there just as a tourist attraction.
I dont believe that was actually his office and his setup. Sorry there is no chance.
@@sbelobaba OK, where was it?
Yes well produced.. shes good.
That guys voice is just something else, it about put me to sleep with how soothing it was lol, but another great video per usual for you Sasha!
Great video Sasha. Thanks for showing us Russia, I am from the UK and the media only says bad things about Russia. It's a great nation with a rich history and good people.
... and insane murderers at the head of it.
Wow! This was amazing Sasha! Nicely done! Touring a Bunker 18 floors down! And a Restaurant? So cool. Thank you for sharing your tour. So interesting. Loved the beginning and the end of your video.😂Good job! Enjoyed watching! Your very talented. ❤❤❤😊
Thank you so much Lori!! ❤💥

OMG, this was the best video I've seen about Russia by now :O The end was as in a movie. Where is the thanks, button...great video
That was fascinating! But please Sasha, that ending was a scary thought. It would be an extremely sad day, to lose You in that way😢
I can't wait to see what You have in store for us next! 💖✨
Thanks Gary!! Don’t worry I survived 😂
I thought those early 1960s James Bond movie sets were outrageous and unrealistic. Sasha says hold the mic. This was really interesting. Nice work infiltrating 😂 the bunkers.
Thank you!! 😂
OMG Sasha, Your acting is so good. I thought it was a movie. But I still love it. Thank you for sharing 🙏
The production value of this channel is dope! Sasha, you always bring such interesting videos. Continue this great work that is important now more than ever.
Reminds me of Bunker in "Metro Last Light" Game
Artyom, time to find D6 !
Hi Sasha, the video was dramatic, funny, captivating and very very informative. Loved the way You used "Friends" theme at 10:33 - 10:38!!!!
Very nice history lesson!
Such a fascinating video! I would love to have a tour guide of this facility 😮 10:06 also much appreciated to hear the whole story of the Cuba missile crisis! The west tend to leave out what triggered it in the first place… much like Ukraine!
Thank you for showing us unusual places, your videos are always very interesting.
Thank you!😊
Amazing content. Thank you for sharing. And I hope that you survived the blast at the end without any accident ;-)
Very very interesting as usual, Amazing ! And with a fantastic sense of humour of both ! All the explaination were acute and pedagogical, even for claustrophobic - especially for them.
In Paris, the HQ of tte Parisian Commity of Résistance ( for the Libération in August 1944) was located in the Catacombes : 200 km of a underground labyrinthic galeries ( filled with skelettons coming from full cemeteries.). From the Catacombes you can reach some highschools and public édifices around Paris : students and pupils visit it though it's absolutely forbidden. Some died because they lost themselves. There're also secret clubs that made sculptures and weird rituals....
Absolutely love every moment of it, top-tier content right here, thank you a lot, Sasha! ❤
I LOVE this video. Entertaining, historical, educational, beautiful...I completed enjoyed. Thank you Sasha...🤍💙❤
Very cool video! Looking forward to you visiting the ISS next 🙃🛰
Wooow! It's almost like a movie! Amazing video 🔥
Very cool. You are becoming the best Russian channel real quick!
Aw thanks!! 😊❤
This vid is definitely a new level) was that guy telling a bit extra than he might, or not, that's a question
It looks amazing ❤
Amazing Sasha .... Thank You for this travel. You and Eli are the Best .....
Loved every moment of it❤❤ Thank yooo
Even though Russia does not have facilities for its "ordinary people," they certainly have more protection than the US offers its people. I've always wanted to see one of these. Thanks Sasha!
It's Western propaganda that's given a shit about the living conditions in Russia😂
In Russia, free medicine, free education, and the entire social infrastructure are at a high level. If you come here and see with your own eyes, you will understand how the United States has lagged behind on all fronts for 20-30 years. When I went to the USA, I thought I was going to a modern cool place, it turned out there was such a dump, the level of poor African countries
I laughed really hard at the end there 😂😂
I am glad 😂
@SashaMeetsRussia I have to ask: Are you stuck in the bunker? If so, what's it like? 😂
Good 😊 job sister ❤😘
An excellent history lesson
Mushroom clouds Looks amazing.
FRIENDS music in the Castro-Ники́та Серге́евич Хрущёв love
Cuban music would have been more suitable.
Fascinating Video. I wonder how many of these are there in Moscow. Guess we'll never know!
I remember seeing on RUclips how a man was walking through the forest, where there were only swamps, and found a bunker where there was a laboratory, but everything there was welded and littered, apparently so that no one could get further...
It was somewhere in Siberia.
@@Egor_officiale Interesting!
Thank you!!❤
Incredible!!!!
I was in some bunkers and ... Sasha - that was a tiny toy bunker :)
And there are a lot of bunkers in EVERY city or town for people.. in count of insist more that 80% of citizens... Soviets are PEOPLE republic.
in 90x Iwent to school every day near old red [ kirpitch ] little building.. with plants on windows and rusty door... and one day i foi]und its door open and... there was an HUGE elevator about 1 000 kg and about 100 meters under ground (via cable source). In a little city... in garage massive..
Soviets are about PEOPLE
Wow, that was very cool! I had to watch it twice, becuase I couldn't keep up with your tour guide's Engliish transcript of everything he was saying. One of the most interesting is the obvious difference in our understanding of the "Cuban Missile Crisis". I suppose it doesn't really matter at this point anyway! Keep up the great work... your videos are fun and entertaining!
It's not a difference of understanding. The description here is how it unfolded. Obviously, the US government couldn't tell that to their own people. But that is how everything is going. It's always the US who does something and the Soviets respond. Just like creating NATO. Warsaw Pact was a response a year later. There are many other examples. The most recent is Ukraine. The US instigated a coup. Russia was saying the whole time - do not put your bases into Ukraine. Only recently the US admitted that there were bases in Ukraine. This war was brought to us by the US and NATO.
You are intelligent ❤❤
Thanks Sasha! I love your videos!❤💯
Best yet - very well executed video. They were awful times - it's good to see that the Russians have preserved some of the structures of that world. Thanks!
Thanks!!😊
The Friends theme song 😂
Super cool Aleksandra!
Fantastic video, as always! It's always interesting seeing how things used to be done and some of the precautions that were taken given the circumstances of the time. You may find it interesting that the nuclear weapons ready to go these days are a fraction of the size of the bomb you were standing in front of in this video. Precision is the name of the game these days. Back in the Cold War days, accuracy, for lack of a better term, sucked. So they had to build the bombs to take out a wide area, even if what they wanted to actually hit was a small target. These days, they can hit a precise location without any issues, so the actual size and yield of the device is considerably smaller. This helps when it comes to those people caught in the middle of everything because the thermal and blast zones are significantly reduced. There are many layers of nuclear response, and it doesn't begin with ICBMs, it starts with that plane you saw in the bunker. The aircraft always go first because they can always be called back if discussions can deescalate the crisis. Next are the ICBMs. They're the giant missiles in the ground with multiple warheads in the ground. When the START 2 treaty came into being, we all agreed to have ONLY three warheads on top of each ICBM. As the ICBMs are hitting their targets the bombers that survive are returning to alternative loading sites to be reloaded for additional target assignment. The final attack comes from submarines. Some argue they are the first, but this argument exists only in a first-strike scenario where there's not a gradual increase in threat level. Submarines can park right off the coast and their missiles can be over target in one to ten minutes. The concept of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) has kept all of this in the war game stage. Luckily, for everyone, things have not been pushed to the point where these weapons have been used these days.
Keep up the great work on your videos and keep smiling!
Yes, that is why Russia has the Avangard hypersonic unit, which is capable of overcoming US air defenses and causing unacceptable damage. Yes, perhaps it will not be more than 120 million people, but nevertheless...
@@user-kr5ho3wr3v I've read up on that missile system, and it's capable up to 2 Megatons nuclear yield. That's rather impressive. If they happened to strike DC I doubt many of us would really have a problem with it. They're all evil in DC anyway.
Great job!
Love it !!! Excelente contenido 😬😍
A very interesting video. Thanks for sharing.
