PS : I didn't labeled myself a gamer to begin with honestly, it's what my friends kept calling me back in the days. So the title stick.
Wow, what an in-depth review! Most people would just say it's pretty and felt nice, but in true HC fashion, you went that extra mile and I appreciate that :) Stay awesome guys
Boda People saying things like "Where is the numpad!!11", "How is it even possible to use this keyboard??", or even "$200 and NO RGB with LESS keys? No way!!1!1"
+alksdjf;alsdjf while I do agree with you about it being pretty pointless but IMO this should be for people looking for soemth mobile and compact, like people working in IT or something Cus having such a small keyboard in an office is well, quite simply dumb.
How is it a meme? Some people prefer compact keyboards. They can do everything a normal keyboard can, only quicker through programmable function layers. They're more functional than a fullsize.
bahahaha. That was awesome. dont you worry about that, it is still very much on my mind, and if anyone is going to hold you to it, its going to be me. You replied to one of my comment saying that its coming, so I was going to give you a little breathing room :p
+Ro0ster I have a laptop where the f keys are combined with media keys, and having to hold fn every time I want to use a function key is a pain in the butt. It especially sucks in games where I need to switch to 3rd person really quick and then I have to find the function key, hold it, and then take my right hand off the mouse and find f3 of whatever it is. It takes a lot of time and that's why the absence of fn keys can be bad especially if you need it quickly.
+Ro0ster good point. I'm pretty bad at hand eye coordination so it's hard for me to find the fn button sometimes. I'll look into changing my f buttons to wasd so that I don't have to lift my hands. My hands a pretty small so I have to sometimes strength to reach keys. Thanks for the suggestion though I'll definitely look into that ;)
Or you can always get a Poker or Ducky keyboard -- both of which requires no external programs and can be customized just with the keyboard itself. This keyboard is basically shilling people, 300$ for a shitty mechanical keyboard like that? No thanks, with that money, I could buy a IBM or a HHKB rather than that garbage.
Impressive how much popularity these smaller layouts have gained over the past few years. For myself, I didn't even know about other layouts than full-size and TKL on mechanical keyboards, just from some cheap multimedia keyboards with an integrated touchpad. Now I'm typing this on my Ducky Mecha Mini.
Imma go start a new keyboard company and market it as "The Most Customizable Keyboard" and only have the metal board, no buttons or cables will come with it... It'll be a super premium, well detailed design and cost $300... The buttons will be customizable and each button will cost $20, the USB cable to connect the keyboard is $50. If you want the keyboards to have the alphabet labels, $10 extra per button... If you want the keyboard to have a paint then it'll be extra $200 or it'll be just steel metal color straight from the factory xD
I don't understand why it's so expensive when it lacks the features of basically all high quality keyboards. Good build quality yes, but just comparing it to the Corsair Vengeance K70 Luxe for example. $200CAD vs $390CAD. Luxe has a full number pad and media controls, as well as many more features like RGB, better macro use, wrist rest, USB pass through, more height customizability, multiple key caps included. All this with a similar high quality aluminum build. Only real downside comparing, is size (only because of num pad, but for 99% of users, the larger size is actually preferred), and less key options (but this isn't a problem since 99% want just cherry blue brown red, all of which are with corsair). Just my thoughts, this really just doesn't seem to have a competitive price compared to other premium gaming keyboards like Razor or Corsair. Maybe I'm missing something, but this sure isn't on my shopping cart. I'm off to get the Vengeance. Nonetheless nice video!
Have you used a TKL/60%/etc. before? It's more ergonomic, takes up less space on your desk, and I greatly prefer the fn shortcuts for media controls and numpad emulation (seriously, use a Pok3r and you'll think dedicated keys are hilarious). That + the fact that you can just rebind everything to whatever you want means after a short adjustment period you can do things much, much faster since everything you need is within reach of your hands' natural resting position on the keyboard. Not everyone wants a glowing seizure on their desk, if you're into keyboards you'd already have a custom wrist rest, the feet you can replace so no, not more height customizability. The other points are a valid point, but you have to bear in mind this is squarely a mech enthusiast product by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, not gamers.
Those are gaming keyboards this is an enthusiast keyboard. They are completely different markets. Can you build your own Corsair Strafe from scratch by hand? Most of the features you list a frivolous in the enthusiast keyboard community. The aluminum keyboards yo uspeak of (mainly corsair) are not actually aluminum. that is the plate the switches are snapped into just extended and bent. This is part of the reason why older boards had issues with LEDs going out. Also the rest of the board is cheap ABS plastic with horrible feeling generic OEM caps. Get the WhiteFox or similar board in your hard and youll immediately feel how much better its built down to the PCB. Is like having cheap Vengance vs Dominator ram. The latter feels like it could be used as a weapon and still work dripping in blood. As for your assumption that for most users bigger is better that is just pain wrong. Also this isnt a keyboard aimed at the everyman. Additionally most people dont know smaller keyboards even exist or what their advantages are. Its the same with switches companies dont make boards that often with say green or clear because thats more SKU's for them to sell thus people dont know about then. Really not that long ago Red switches were only found on one keyboard and you had to order it direct from Japan.
I'm used to buying more expensive keyboards I sold a couple and now I'm between two boards the Leopold fc660c an fc660m the c is a topre board and the m is a cherry mx clear board . The white fox is epic only which they would sell a zealios purple pre assembled board. But as I own several boards with the same form factor I think I want to go with a TKL size inputclub board that will come out one day ;-) I guess the only real thing that is preventing me from buying this as an extra board is the fact that I have to pay 31% extra to get it in to Europe for that money I want zealios without having to solder.. When all is said and done it's the best keybord ever no comparison with the mass produced cheap boards remember mass production means you're getting a board with s real cost that's 2 times less than you pay. Your actually paying for a lot more than you think
Who said you have to use it for a desktop? Even if you did it would save space, bring your mouse closer to the keyboard for better ergonomics, and it just looks nice.
$300 MSRP is ridiculous, even for a high quality mech board. Most Vortex boards are only $140 and I can't see how this is somehow twice is good when the functionality and build quality is essentially identical.
between shape and software looks ugly..., and also its price is too much damn high.... - Who will buy this keyboard ? Gamer ? No..., Desainer ? No..., Officer ? Absolutely No, Officer just need basic cheap keyboard..., Artist with strange taste ? Maybe Yes..., Rich Programmer ? Maybe Yes...
You forgot the Cherry MX Brown switches, and the rubber feet are supposed to be used (two of them) in addition to the aluminum feet. Then there is one extra included rubber fot. I bought 8 3M from Ebay for about $2.
what is the hype about mechanical keyboards? i have apple wireless kb and it's small, light, build with aluminium and feels really great - i love typing on it. I have some old mechanical kbs (from power macintosh, i think from 1995, and in old ibm laptop) and they are to loud and bulky
There's no driver software because driver software is bad. It'd have to work flawlessly on Win/Mac/Linux to really keep the appeal of the product being a catch-all solution.
Bought it for when I travel so I don't have to bring a big keyboard. I would recommend getting cherry my reds because it's quieter than my blue switch keyboard
You're misinformed, you can access the F keys through the function layer. It's far quicker on a 60% once you get the layout down because you don't have to reach as far,.
Are you joking? Firstly it isn't faster on a 60%, secondly the difference in speed would be negligible anyway. The fact is that there is no real point in using a 60% unless you need to save space.
+mirby its more ergonomic to use a 60% because your hands are closer together in a more natural postion, so there is a benefit. Why on earth would people sell 60% boards and ten key less designs in the first place if it was only to save space? If anything, those 10 centimeteres make the tiniest difference.
After coming across this keyboard on MassDrop, I've been looking at 75% keyboards like the Noppoo Choc Mini, Keycool Hero 84, and the Plum 84 electrostatic. Each of these is pretty close to what I'd be looking for -- a sensible key layout, some handy function key toggles, all wrapped in a small package. Problem is, some of this stuff isn't exactly what I want, and I guess that's where this whole custom hobby comes from! The WhiteFox is pretty close, but I'd like that extra row of standard function keys, as it doesn't increase the overall size of the keyboard that much. The Choc Mini has this weird keyboard emulation mode, so you can't use it for stuff like getting into the BIOS. I could live with that, but I'd rather not have to pull out another keyboard in a pinch. I really like the look of it though, and the keycaps are pretty slick. The Keycool Hero 84 might fit the bill, if I could order it with the appropriate switches. I don't know if I want Kailh switches at that price point, and I haven't gone far enough down the rabbit hole to really consider desoldering stuff, ordering switches, and swapping stuff out. Not to mention that something like the WhiteFox allows for full programmable flexibility, which I suspect only a handful of these keyboards offer. (One I came across was the Red Scarf -- you can find info pretty easily on Reddit, Geekhack, and Deskthority forums.) I'm prolly gonna cave and get the Choc Mini, but I feel like it's so close to what I really want, but not quite there. I don't think there's any way around stuff like weird keyboard emulation modes on a board like that. I suspect that's where this whole community movement sprung from, as people are really into this sort of thing, and if you think about it, if you spend a lot of time each day using a keyboard, it's not that crazy to want a really high quality product that fits your preferences to a T. That's what makes the WhiteFox really tempting -- it's obviously very well designed and everything is programmable to suit your specific needs. If only they made a 75% version with possibly a USB pass through and a couple more switch options (no Cherry / Gateron Blacks)? Heck, that's probably the same sort of rationale that leads people to build their own customs in the first place. :) It looks like a really nice place to start getting into that sort of thing, and I'm pretty envious. I just don't think I can justify it to myself with the overall price -- USD to Canadian funds, expensive shipping, taxes, and a $10 "service fee" from DHL for handling and customs processing. At least I found out about the handling fee via a fairly expensive purchase. I would've been pretty pissed if I ordered a cheap item and they insisted on using DHL to ship it, just for them to slap some silly surcharge on things. I've had this CM Storm QuickFire TKL for years, which has an excellent toggle function for flipping the numpad into an arrow key cluster, with all the standard functionality keys (home, end, insert, delete, etc.) in the appropriate place. I really like it, but I want a stiffer switch -- something like the Black, Brown, or possibly Cherry MX Clear style. I'm starting to understand why people get into modifying these things, but I haven't the faintest idea as to what I'm doing.
+fabronaut just handwire something together, put it into a carton plate and experiment. When settled make a proper place and (sandwhich) case. It is quite fun.
It looks great, but I'll wait for bluetooth. The WhiteFox and the Varmilo VA87M drops are in the right direction, but I've been reeeeally spoiled by my Varmilo VB660M (bluetooth version of Leopold FC660M) : it's compact, it has arrow keys and Ins and Del keys, and bluetooth. Pic : i.imgur.com/XgvxopA.jpg The customizability is a killer idea, though!
"Considering the compact layout, this cannot be considered a fully fledged gaming keyboard" Why not? I mean, for MMOs or RPGs, sure, but how often do you use any keys on the right side of the board during FPS or MOBA gameplay (or any other game that relies heavily on the mouse)? Many of the most popular mechanical gaming keyboards are Tenkeyless, for example, the k65, the BlackWidow TE, or the Cooler Master QFR. Personally I switch between a full sized IBM Model M, which I mostly use for typing due to the switches, a 40% sized Planck keyboard, and I'm planning on building an 18% sized gaming keypad using Cherry MX blacks. Among the many benefits of a compact keyboard for gaming, is the fact that it gives you so much more mouse space, which is especially useful if you play at a low DPI, and I would think that Eber would appreciate this, given he is a CS:GO player. If anything, in some cases, this type of keyboard would be more suited to gaming and writing than for office use, as office workers I'm sure have more of a use for a number pad than gamers.
I got this full aluminum body mech KB for around 62$. "HAVIT HV-KB376L Blue LED Backlit Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Blue Switches" I think they could have made this better for the price.
Dude this is sexy. A little note: 60% could be an advantage for those who play FPSes. You won't bump into keyboard when moving your mouse across your desk. I use my HHKB Pro 2 which is 60%, and it works wonders. I would love this keyboard. Korean styled 60% boards are so sexy. Just imagine these with Clears
"premium" Yeahhh... that doesn't mean jack anymore. iphones supposedly feel "premium" too. No thanks. Give me sturdy, durable, etc. Not a meaningless word that describes nothing.
Mechanical = yes. Quality = yes,. Lack of crucial keys = no. Exorbitant price = no. Overall = no. I can't for the life of me understand the fascination that so many people have with these tiny keyboards. The 101 key (later the 104 key) was one of the biggest computing improvements from the old 86 key keyboards from the old IBM 8086 days that I would never go back to keyboards that have so many important keys missing. I can't even use a laptop that doesn't have a numpad (and no those off center sudo numpads using the FN/Numlock combination are about as useless as you know what on a boar hog) If you like them fine, but I can't see it. Give me a real Big Boy keyboard not some cut down Fisher Price kiddie keyboard especially if you are going to charge me more to get less.
Is this a wireless keyboard connected via bluetooth? Can I access bios with this keyboard? I'm currently using logitech k810. However, I can't access bios witgh my keyboard.
I would need them to put out a full num pad and standard home/delete/etc keyboard to consider this. I'd also really like to see more room added for a second fn key on the right hand side AND the room for the OS menu button.
I love the build quality and the customization idea, but restricting it to this condensed layout, and with no option for a numpad at least, it's restricted to a very niche market, that sadly doesn't include me. However I'm personaly okay with it lacking USB-A-in ports. IMHO I think it would be a great idea if they make a separate magnet-attachable numpad, perhaps even daisy-chaining several 'pads'.
no F-keys, no numpad, white keys without transparent letters even though it has backlight, no windows key, no optional wristrest, way too expensive body, you have to solder stuff, at the minimum of $180, yeaaaah..., no.
Yes - I could fall in love with this keyboard. But I'm not committed to it yet. I will play around with more than a couple of full sized mechanicals and even some 60% sized or larger. Truthfully, I still don't think I have a preference yet as to what mechanical switches I prefer. But I do know mechanicals make me want to type much more than so many cheap less durable keyboards in the open market. Eventually, I will give away my less reliable and unpleasant feeling keyboards because why would I use uninspired equipment if you don't need to. Thanks for the review, much more informative than most product evaluations out there.
What an excellent review. Amazing audio, amazing camera work, amazing in depth review. Hands down one of the best I've seen on RUclips. Screams quality. Sub'd !
Welcome to the channel :D Make sure to explore our previous videos! We have three producers: Dmitry, Eber and Aidan. So if you hear/see differences, it's all good :)
Just going from the review... It seems to be under-featured and over-priced, full of trade-offs-- the missing keys, the small size, no pass-through ports-- without much to trade in return. About the only real features that pique my interest are the all-key configurability-- but even then there aren't even all the keys on a standard layout, much less extra blank or function keys that would make an all-configurable keyboard worth it-- and the stowable size. The kit and customizability is kind of neat, but that still invites the question "Why not just buy what you really want in the first place?" Every point in the review seems to come with a shrug-off of a missing or inadequate feature. That shouldn't be the case for something you're spending triple-digit-dollars on. All in all, it looks to be the sort of "more dollars than sense" purchase targeted for people who care about novelty and look over function and features.
Random question: Is it possible to use different switches for different keys on the keyboard? If, for example, I wanted an MX Brown keyboard, but with Esc, the Spacebar and the arrow keys to be MX Blue?
Amazing video production and even better presentation..... but about the product..... as yourself did... you simply jump to logitech pro. The product is pointless if is not intended to full customization and setup, which is way easier use a secondary keyboard for example music and video production. For anyone that want to adventure at $299 good luck Peace out
Honestly this came up in my recommended and clicked it on a whim, but I have to say the quality of this video is top notch, as expected from a fellow Canadian. NEW SUB ALERT! Can't wait to watch the rest
Cool keyboard, by why didn't they include multiple LED-colours while they were at it? Would'nt have cost them anything and now a lot of people with LED-coloured desktop settings are excluded.
Sexy design. I just find the whole configuration process to be messy, gimmicky and not unified as a process. I'd rather them have software approaches to reprogramming the functions (seriously, it totally doesn't take away from uniqueness). And then maybe provide choices for various colors and types of keycaps along with the switches and leds for that custom factor.
This review sounds like it's the first time you have ever used a quality mechanical keyboard. You should also try something like the Pok3r, V60 or even the Planck :^)
office space? without and numpad? that is like saying: You can buy an intel nuc for bf4/Witcher 3 gaming for perfect gaming experience :P But yeah, looks like a nice keyboard if it had a numpad :P
Is it worth it in my opinion and I have used it. Nope. It really isn't all that great especially for 180-300 dollars LOL. Just get yourself a Das 4 Professional and be happy.
I want something like this, meaning a full aluminium case and simple design, as a tenkeyless version. But I don't think I would like to get used to the software part shown here. Aaaand I don't want to spent much more than 100€. I would love to see a Logitech G610 as a tenkeyless version, although it's made out of plastic.

With 180-300 bucks you can buy two full sized RGB cherry mx mechanical keyboards, and have money for keycaps. Yeah, no.
And then i'm running with extremely comfort my logitech media keyboard membrane for about 10 year without a single issue for the astronomically expensive price of 10bucks.
I can't speak on the white fix, but I do have the infinity 60% with gateron greens, and I love it. I have actually replaced the full size gaming keyboards I normally run on my main rig with the infinity 60%. I have a preonic I have just finished, but I need to flash it, and test it.
For those that haven't taken a dive into what is even possible with mechanical keyboards, they should check out GeekHack.org - I'm really hoping that more people become interested as the space is a pricey craft. And hopefully, people don't judge them by the mass-manufactured gaming nonsense that arrived after people started to notice the uptick in mechanical popularity.
the keyboard looks sexy, the white, the leds and everything. Looks cute and small which safe space i suppose, the only problem IMO is the price tag. For that amount of money you are probably able to buy some sick gaming keyboard with way more features.
I refuse to buy these expensive electronics if they insist on the (nearly decade old) MicroUSB connector vs the type-C connector which support thousands of more connections which prolongs the life of the device, and is a more robust connector. It's the main reason why I decided not to buy the new Bose QC35.
So many people mixing up 'overpriced' with, 'I wouldn't personally spend money on it'. For the product, it really isn't overpriced, and you if don't know why, then the keyboard really isn't for you and then of course you shouldn't spend money on it. But don't come in and randomly say overpriced
There are full-sized cherry mx keyboards with metal plates for around the same price. I like the idea of templates for application-specific colour-coding, so I'm going to continue to look around.
A suitable keyboard for iMac users. A good upgrade from the apple keyboard . A professional with work regarding hours of typing will love this however , it's not for all-around use. i'd only use this when typing for long hours on essays and novels. I love the sound, a must buy if you can afford to have more than one keyboard
I love these things, but I do not want to build them. So the cost becomes extremely prohibitive. I'm stuck with prebuilt keyboards, heh. I do want to find something similar to this layout though. A step down from the tenkeyless keybaords, but not so far down as the 61 key ones.
Shame you didn't go for the Zealio option! Gateron are leagues above Cherry in terms of crispness and smoothness, and Zealio are just incredible mass-manufactured, but modified switches.
I thought I read somewhere that Cherry MX White switches haven't been made since the 80s. Am I wrong about this? This is a new keyboard with MX Whites, so I'm confused.
I want the same shape of this keyboard but I dont want to pay 180 dollars. Can anybody reference a keyboard thats cheaper just like this? I dont care about too much customizing. If I can't get an answer I may just lean towards the magicforce boards that seem to be the popular brand on Amazon.
Great looking video. One criticism however: it took you over 1:30 into the video to actually give any information about WHY the keyboard is worth looking into. I almost clicked away before then because I never heard of WhiteFox and had no reason to care because I had zero information other than "interesting" which is nebulous at best.
overpriced bullshit imho... i mean why why why ffs no one makes external unplugable numpad so when u game u have little more space with benefits of numpad with smaller keyboard..never seen anything like that... until then i love all my 5 dollars keyboards..they feel same as 300 dollars ones.. and yes i tried also own one but threw it into drawer
300 Dollars for a Keyboard is a ridiculous price. Once you consider it lacks features like RGB leds and even 40% of the keys the price is even crazier. And yet it was realy hard to resist ordering one.
Maybe it's the alcohol talking but your videos always make me relax. I like it. Also really tiny kb, I went from a ten-key less back to a full (standard) layout because it drove me mad.
That is a lovely bit of kit. How do you find the layout with the arrow keys in place of the usual modifiers? I have a Poker II, and while I expected to have trouble with the arrow keys hidden under a function layer, I ended getting used to it within a couple days.
fuck massdrop. $20< less = month(s) of waiting. its great for those who dont give a shit about shipping times dont get me wrong really how many people would do that over paying more to get it earlier?
"Gaming grade peripherals are typically at the leading edge of peripheral design." Bullshit. Certainly not when it comes to keyboards, more like gaming keyboards have the most lights and the ugliest designs.

Yeah but for 300$....I think I can find alot better and cheaper 60% keyboard out there...
Oh of course gamers didn't start it. Gamers just want flashy lights and gaudy design.
+mirby haha so painfully true.
mirby That's just stereotype honestly I find myself am a Gamer, but I never really like those RGB lighting etc. I don't mind if it doesn't have LED at all, but if I'm buying a keyboard, two are similar keyboards and both of the keyboards are price at 300$ but one is without RGB / LED Lighting and another does feature it, of course I will get the one RGB / LED Lighting. His name is Eber ;)

Wait.. WHAT?
Great looking video dude
+Matthew Pearce OMG... Matt watches the channel :) life complete! 👍
I'd rather have the happy hacking keyboard rather than this one.
Thanks a lot Matt! Really appreciate it coming from you :)
You guys should review the Pok3r from Vortex!

So many uninformed people :(
About what?
Boda People saying things like "Where is the numpad!!11", "How is it even possible to use this keyboard??", or even "$200 and NO RGB with LESS keys? No way!!1!1"
Not everyone buys into the "compact" keyboard meme.
Awesome video! It was so beautiful to watch, 10/10!
Thank you so much! Really an outstanding project!
I use a 60%, and I've been extremely happy. I plan to build my own keyboard soon with Zealios and a GH 60 PCB
im 0:53 in and this lil guy is dope...
+Sean Williams shouldn't you be asking about the giant Thermaltake case review? 😂
bahahaha. That was awesome. dont you worry about that, it is still very much on my mind, and if anyone is going to hold you to it, its going to be me. You replied to one of my comment saying that its coming, so I was going to give you a little breathing room :p
The v21? Also damn is it nice you read comments and shit thumbs up for this channel very happy i found it
+Greg Erfulgerman no, the w200
+Sean Williams ah thanks for letting me know
this keyboard is really beautiful, suited for my setup I think.. it's a shame I lived in Indonesia which I can't bought it
waaay too pricy for me but I don't mind because the video production on this one is FLAWLESS. Awesome work
Thank you :)
Its the hobby enthusiast side of mechanical keyboards
Thumbnail = that's what she said
Hi
Burn lol!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
No F keys? How the fuck you gonna change seats in BF4?
Looks super dope though.
Thanks for the suggestion though I'll definitely look into that ;)
Please make a video showing us the color work flow...DAMN THOSE COLORS POP!
umm 4yrs ago wassup beasty
Why do most of HardwareCanucks videos have a lot of dislikes?
Cause they started clickbaiting not too long ago. I blame it on the apple laptop dimitri switched to
They want Demitri and don't like the other people. I think they're just fine but that's just me.
The Meep Channel
umm no, its clickbaiting
One of the only boards designed by an enthusiast, gotta love Matteo
I thought todays video would contain some TitanXP Benchmarks. :(
Later this week ;) wink wink
Nice! :)
+HardwareCanucks noice
Sweet.
+HardwareCanucks, did you guy buy your XP? I though Nvidia wasn't sending them to reviewers.
WHAT THE FUCK I FAST FORWARDED a little bit and i thought it was Dimitri speaking. then that guy showed up i got scared
dude, you made this like a movie, great production / cin skills
An very interesting keyboard. Would be nice for travel.
The metal color from the factory should be more expensive about +150 more than painted versions.
Correction: "Gaming keyboards are on peripheral of Toys'R'Us design"
"99% of users the larger size is preferred"
99% of users want cherry blue brown red"
Not even remotely true.
I'm used to buying more expensive keyboards I sold a couple and now I'm between two boards the Leopold fc660c an fc660m the c is a topre board and the m is a cherry mx clear board
Why would I want a tiny keyboard for a desktop machine...?
Who said you have to use it for a desktop? Even if you did it would save space, bring your mouse closer to the keyboard for better ergonomics, and it just looks nice.
Space.
I do. VERY much so. At work, that is. I like my desk to be clean and uncluttered. Being a programmer I don't need much more than a tkl keyboard
Living room gaming/use and travel are a couple uses I can think of off the top of my head. It's not for everyone, though
mouse space, its more ergonomic for the mouse to be closer to the other hand
$300 MSRP is ridiculous, even for a high quality mech board. Most Vortex boards are only $140 and I can't see how this is somehow twice is good when the functionality and build quality is essentially identical.
What eco-system? Pretty sure we are all using keyboards..
No one has watched the whole video yet. I promise.
between shape and software looks ugly..., and also its price is too much damn high....
- Who will buy this keyboard ? Gamer ? No..., Desainer ? No..., Officer ? Absolutely No, Officer just need basic cheap keyboard..., Artist with strange taste ? Maybe Yes..., Rich Programmer ? Maybe Yes...
Nice! You did the hand swipe thing too! 💪
Just give me the mechanical form of the IBM ThinkPad laptop keyboard please.
Zadig? I hope it doesn't interfere with my Gamecube controller adapter
I was confused and scared that Dimitri wasn't making all the video's.. but Eber is growing on me :D
Bought it for when I travel so I don't have to bring a big keyboard. I would recommend getting cherry my reds because it's quieter than my blue switch keyboard
Shame you can't get it anymore, that's all right though, I'll stick with my Magicforce 68
People complaining about price have no issue with $150 iPad keyboard that isn't even mechanical.
Good concept. I just can't fathom using a 60% keyboard. I work with the F-Keys all the time.
(One I came across was the Red Scarf -- you can find info pretty easily on Reddit, Geekhack, and Deskthority forums.)
I'm prolly gonna cave and get the Choc Mini, but I feel like it's so close to what I really want, but not quite there.
Backlight gave me a puke. Those circles of light on keys are just awful. Transparent labels with black caps look way better.
Pic : i.imgur.com/XgvxopA.jpg
The customizability is a killer idea, though!
Massdrop, the strongest enemy for my financial...
I would buy this but I already spent 200 on a K95
Dude this is sexy. A little note: 60% could be an advantage for those who play FPSes. You won't bump into keyboard when moving your mouse across your desk. I use my HHKB Pro 2 which is 60%, and it works wonders. I would love this keyboard. Korean styled 60% boards are so sexy. Just imagine these with Clears
Omfg dimitri is never on his vids anymore it's sad.....just keeps hiring people lol.
Isn't the MX profile out of sync for anyone that plans on using custom keycaps? re: TKL keys to the right of Enter.
That's some quality ass content right there. MKBHD quality.
The kit and customizability is kind of neat, but that still invites the question "Why not just buy what you really want in the first place?"
Every point in the review seems to come with a shrug-off of a missing or inadequate feature.
For anyone that want to adventure at $299 good luck
Peace out
Honestly this came up in my recommended and clicked it on a whim, but I have to say the quality of this video is top notch, as expected from a fellow Canadian.
Yeah, no.
You've probably mentioned it but I think I missed it: does this keybor=ard work with Mac (or is it configurable to work with Macs)??
many thanks
300$ keyboard? No thank you if it had topre switches then i would consider. Ill just stick to my Pok3r, HHKB, and Cherry MX 6.0
the keyboard looks sexy, the white, the leds and everything.
I still don't get the idea of why this more expansive than my Corsair k65 lux RGB.......
If I can't get an answer I may just lean towards the magicforce boards that seem to be the popular brand on Amazon.
uhhh no thanks. Too much work for a keyboard. Too expensive. I'll just use my $20 keyboard thanks
Great looking video. One criticism however: it took you over 1:30 into the video to actually give any information about WHY the keyboard is worth looking into. I almost clicked away before then because I never heard of WhiteFox and had no reason to care because I had zero information other than "interesting" which is nebulous at best.
You have not seen interesting keyboards until you go to r/mechanicalkeyboards.
overpriced bullshit imho... i mean why why why ffs no one makes external unplugable numpad so when u game u have little more space with benefits of numpad with smaller keyboard..never seen anything like that... until then i love all my 5 dollars keyboards..they feel same as 300 dollars ones.. and yes i tried also own one but threw it into drawer
😑 sou not interesting.. Y sud anyone buy this at >180 instead of k65 rf at 140
300 Dollars for a Keyboard is a ridiculous price. Once you consider it lacks features like RGB leds and even 40% of the keys the price is even crazier. And yet it was realy hard to resist ordering one.
For the full price I'd consider going with HHKB. But then I wanted the HHKB to be as customizable and looked as good as this thing does.
Awesome in-depth review. Made me sub your channel.
fuck massdrop. $20< less = month(s) of waiting. its great for those who dont give a shit about shipping times dont get me wrong really how many people would do that over paying more to get it earlier?
