Hey, everyone still watching this (very old) video, I want to do a quick comment to clarify some stuff. Thank you as always for your continued support even tho I personally think this vid is super ugly now lol
Oculus was a south park fanfic written by ThistleFox (formerly known as eerily on tumblr). It was very big in the fandom and the author was a personal friend of mine. She had always intended "Oculus" to be an original story featuring original characters, but in the SP fandom she gave it a shot and wrote it using the SP characters. While very beloved by the fandom she ultimately decided that she wanted to give the story a chance to be what it was supposed to be, so she removed the story from FF.Net and instead has started publishing it as a comic.

And please respect the fact that Oculus as it once was is "dead". Please do not republish the story on other websites, please do not harass the author asking for her to republish it, please do not go looking for the story. There's good reason why her old content was deleted.... won't mention here for her privacy but it's a shitty situation. I love how Iconic this fic is in our fandom. Like every fandom has *that fic* and for us it's (as a meme) Kyle in Chains and (unironically) Oculus. Other fandoms have Auf Weidersein (APH), The hat fic (phan) or even some Bandom stuff like the Milk fic. It's just super interesting to me that fandoms have their own little cultures :P
I know, right? It's so neat! I can also argue that aisle 10 is another one of those iconic fics ^u^

Could you please tell me what happens? I understand why it was taken down, but I feel that I'm missing out on something vital. Especially with this amazing animatic along with it!
Lorraine767 Basically It starts out with Tweek and Craig having a sleepover and they see this ghost. Then it skips forward to years later. Craig is dead, he disappeared while walking home and now he’s tweeks ghost friend. Tweek is desperate to find out what happened to his best friend and is searching for his body in the woods, he does this in a hood so nobody knows it’s him or even if he’s real since he does it at night. It turns out Kyle also has similar powers to Tweek and can see dead people sometimes but mainly he can see visions based off objects. Then Kyle finds out about Tweeks powers and they both end up trying to figure out who killed Craig. We find out Stan died two years ago after being hit by a train. Stan saves Kyle at one point when Kyle is badly injured by letting people in a car see his corpse and they search and find Kyle. Kyle suspects craigs dad but then he speaks to Clyde who tells him Craig was abused by tweeks dad. Tweek already figured this out and had been locked in the basement of this house in the woods where he also found Craig’s body. Craig has always shown this vision of being drowned but that was clearly not how he’d died based on his body. Kyle finds them and attempts to free Tweek but then tweeks dad comes and drags Tweek away. Kyle and Craig try to fight back but they end up locked in a room. Craig gets out and goes to help Tweek. Kyle gets out but is too cold in the snow. Then Stan shows up and remotivates Kyle who goes to save Tweek and it turns out the vision of drowning was tweeks death not Craig’s, Craig end up wrestling tweeks dad into the water and drowns him instead.
It might not be completely accurate since I read it awhile ago. The creator also has a webcomic called “Lake Penake” which is based of a similar story but since you know why they deleted it I assume you already know.

I honestly just used paint tool sai for the drawings (frame by frame) and put it in windows movie maker 10 :o not very conventional, but it gets the job done. Someday I'll get a proper editing program lol

Recently she reuploaded it on FF.net but there’s only 6 chapters, so did she ever finish Oculus or did she stop mid way through and make
Lake Penake? If she finished it is she planning on uploading the rest of the chapters? Sorry for the questions i just started reading Oculus and was sad to see it stopped at chapter 6.
Oculus was a finished story, and was even sold as a self-published novel at one point. She's still working on reuploading (again I am friends with the author) so there may be more soon. Lake Penake was made after the fic was deleted the first time around.
