Tim, thank you so much for single handedly saving our planet. Your brave e-biking session probably offset all of the damage done by the thousands and thousands of private jets owned by celebrities and politicians. Now, don't blame them for any ecological damage, they are far more important than us so they need to get to their parties and dinners fast! Keep up the good work and keep paying those carbon credits! 🤣
I know you’re joking, but those lithium batteries just end up in a landfill and lithium mining is one of the most polluting types of mining. There is just so everybody’s clear. That battery will need to be replaced every couple years
Nothing like riding a coal powered ebike up ole Devils Mountain...I have lived in Tennessee since 2006. Lived in the shadow of Mt Diablo from 1972 until 2006. You got that nice dry heat, like an oven. I prefer Tennessee. Thoroughly enjoy all your videos!
@tenncutt Thanks I appreciate it. I lived in Kentucky for a bit and that humidity was something else in the summer. Felt like being in a locker room, but it was really pretty out there
@@shootthechit yeah its been pretty swampy hot out here the last couple weeks. We call it air you can wear! We got a pool and great air conditioning though! We lived in Concord out near Clayton. Now we are about 20 miles north of Chattanooga
That’s my backyard. I’ll ride once a week to Mt Diablo from Finley Rd using the dirt trails and fire roads on my Freedom. That whole area - Diablo, Tassajara, Morgan Territory - has endless bikeable trails and you’ll often not encounter a single person over a 20 mile stretch.
@@stevenpeavler959 Interesting, I've only gone in from the northern side from Clayton, not familiar with the other side. I'm assuming the trails are more gradual and not as steep?
@@shootthechit haha, no the trail I ride is steep af in one spot and requires pushing/walking the bike. After that it’s easy riding but that one stretch is a true workout.
Cool, I lived in San Ramon in the shadow of Mt Diablo for a while. Coming down is more exciting than going up 😮. It is pretty steep, and that bike seemed to take it pretty good. Thanks for the video.
I bet you were one of the few people on that road in a remotely upright riding position.... it's not about spandex or being pretentious, it's about the fact that I don't want to contort myself in half to ride my bike... 🤮
Hmmm.....should I buy the dual star "upgrade" for my 5star? I kind of like the smaller headlight looking not so motorcycle like. No gold wheels either, I thought you were liking those. Bike looks great though.
@loumon2 Gold wheels are still an upgrade I believe. You could always get the upgrade and not put on the headlight. I think it's worth it if you want to do longer rides
Is it true you had a Sherpa team with provisions and oxygen tanks following? Someone said that they had this info. I also thought I saw you had a Garmin in reach satellite phone..
So I was out riding my five Star today. Lots of hills in my area. About 90° out. Motor was around 180 190 in pas 3. Went to climb a fairly steep short section of Hill in the motor temp jumped up over 220 and PAS5. Within about 45 seconds. So with all my rambling, my question is, what was your average motor temperature on this ride?
@croutside8386 It was over 220 most of the time , it would creep up to about 270 or so then we would take a break. I got to 285 on the very last stretch.
been a month now and ecells has yet to deal with the two problems i'm having with my five star, charger making noise and front tire not centered in forks . keep putting me off ,very disappointed with their customer service . only had bike since June maybe 30 miles on it but they simple don't care i guess .......
@robertmartin3828 I think they would have no problems lasting that long outside of normal wear, brake pads, tires etc. Electric stuff is pretty durable, the batteries degrade over time but you still get a ton of charge cycles out of them

How many lumens is the new headlight? It looks perfect for my 4am ride to work since its still dark lol. My wife and i go on night rides too so this looks very appealing.
