There is also the interaction with the revised Construction Yard that lets you move people (regardless of whether the new Construction Yard is on your side or your opponent's side).
I think the extra layer of protection that Fortress offers via its trait, is what makes this card special, more so than the getting-three-punks ability (which of course can also come in very handy).
I hope that your input saved the designer some sleepless nights, as he writes that Fortress gave him a very hard time. It's nice to read how he mentions you by name, several times now, it's clear that he really appreciates what you did for him. (And so does the community.)

That is a great interaction! Especially if you lucked into picking it as an opponent against fortress.
Agreed that the trait is the bread and butter of this card. Using all your water for any ability is a tough ask but it can be really handy when you want it.
Thank you. I think I provided some helpful input overall since we kept testing together for so long. At the very least I was someone (fodder maybe?) he could use all his new toys against to make sure they weren't too powerful or oppressive 😂.

Honestly one of the best in my taste, to have shield camp protecting people is super fun and unique. Makes strong people almost untouchable early game, can’t wait to play with it 🎉🎉

I agree. I think the camps that slightly alter the original core design are my favorites. One of the reasons I liked juggernaut and obelisk so much from the base set.

Another synergy I can see is the camp "Training Camp". I might have missed you mentioning it. But it is a great way to essentally flood the board with punks then turn them, one at a time, into people.

This is a great synergy as well. I'm trying not to mention camps that are being replaced in the expansion since they weren't playtested together and the official way that roxley recommends playing is to swap them out. But if you did put back the originals and had those two together that would be pretty sweet.

@@universityofradlands oh I totally didn’t realize/remember that it was getting replaced. Is it becoming a NEW training camp or is it being replaced entirely?

The ten replacement camps will keep the same name and art just have a new text for its ability. So a new training camp.

O cool Radlands had its own “ fortress of solitude” but with all the punk generation it’s more like fortress of fellowship. Lol great card design guys.

Seems like we've really taken the mantra "Punks are people too." fairly seriously this go round. There's a lot of capabilities including them.

They've always been people in our hearts...now they can be in our games as well.

I find it useful that there are a lot of punk-summoning cards, it makes the "sacrificial -person camps" a lot more useful in the game, since personally, I tend to avoid these camps.

I also didn't like all of them myself and just leaned towards catapult and labor camp mostly. Never normally picked the other ones. There was a conscious effort by the designer to really explore areas under utilized in the base game, including punks.
