Agree on the quality and value of this particular Colt model. I purchased mine as a duty weapon as soon as the AWB sunset in 2004. Specialized Armament Warehouse hooked my up after about a 6 month wait. Mine came similar to what you show in the video, save for a Colt Rogers stock and IIRC the standard carbine (not M4) hand guards. That carbine served me well on patrol and shot very accurately. I now have several of these purchased over the years as LE trade-ins, including one of the very early, very rare Colt Canada imports. That Canadian one is a beautiful example, BTW, with a grey finish and lots of Diemaco parts, including a hammer-forged barrel.
Might be the only one but this is literally the 'M4 Carbine' from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Ingame its essentially a AR-15A3 with KAC RIS furnitire, M16A1 grip and A1 Muzzle device
Not a real.6920le tcp mitlary spc they best ever nothing comes close but fullauto m4 the defense tcp mitlary spc 6920le is one all.others try copy the tcp pony rocks the world not new colts cr ser number bar code those crap.cheap.made crap.no.parts or colt on them.
I recently bought a police trade in Colt AR15 A3 lower receiver and topped it off with a Colt police trade upper with a half moon bcg. It shoots so well and has perfect recoil .
The restricted roll mark is pretty cool. I have shot 77g out of mine successfully out to 500m fairly accurate. This is my favorite colt AR15, thanks for sharing 👍
I still have mine from 2017 and shoots like a laser. The Leopold 1 -6X24 fireDot Circle LPVO on top makes a great SHTF battle rife.I have to say in my opinion one of the most accurate Ar15 carbines Colt ever made along with there 6940
That is a very nice rifle, thanks for making this video. I have one like it, marked AR-15 A3 Tactical Carbine. But mine has the older stock and the slimmer hand guards. I bought it new in 2001, but it may have been made earlier. If I'm not mistaken, the 1/9 HBAR barrel's were not chrome lined, and the 1/7 HBAR barrels are chrome lined, but I could be wrong about that. In addition to the 1/9 16", I have a 1/9 20" and a 1/7 20" barrel. They all are very accurate rifles. I love the Colt HBAR's. In my opinion, the Colt HBAR is the best AR15 barrel ever produced. I don't like the government profile barrels. As a side note, my 20" 1/9 was one of the post-ban rifles made in the 90's. I had the muzzle threaded by a machinist and I added an A2 flash hider. Then, since it did not have a bayonet lug, I cut off the top of the front sight base and turned it into a low profile gas block. I added a free float handguard, put a scope on the rifle, and turned it into a sub moa rifle.
Yeah my uncle has I believe a hbar colt 16" 1 Moa groups at 100 yards it is possible for sub but it's also possible to shoot 1.5 or 2 Moa so its training just as much but I mean other than nostalgia reasons FN I believe makes just as good a cold hammered heavy barrel that has relative same accuracy and I'm talking about basic ball 55 grain 62 grain I've always had worse accuracy unless it's 1/7 and difference between the 55 and 62 is so negligible that it doesn't matter I'd rather shoot 2-3 shots of ball that's designed to incapacitate if the 1st shot doesn't kill with the tumble that's inconsistent by a decent margin to where 2-3 ball shots at distances beyond 200M is not out of the question the steel core however is completely out of the question for designed incapacity and tissue damage it does neither good unless it's a direct cranium shot and rather just being a barrier defeating round only is it's only pluses but as long as you have a good amount of ammo ball will go through barriers as well just not as well but the 62 steel core will not go through lvl 3 ar500 armor ball will within 10 yards or closer but ball will not go through the ceramics/polyurethane armors and the 62 steel core will and now the question becomes what is that solution and you run 7 magazines 3 of them 62 grain at 90 rds and the other 3 55 grain at 90 rds the magazine in your rifle you can either alternate or just have 30 more of whatever is more convenient for your situation but all in all this is one of the best market rifles I would own one
I have the same rifle. Bought it new way back. Mine came with the slim hand guards not those big m4 double shield. I have many old Colt AR's and this one shoots the best OF THEM ALL. Very accurate and the gas system must be perfectly matched because the recoil is like a 22 mag. All of my early SP1 and GOVERNMENT models seem over gassed. The recoil is so light on my 6721 second only to my 14.5 inch SIG 516. Love the rifle. This model always seems to be over looked by AR buyers. I find the build quality to be excellent. Better then any of the wobbly Daniel Defense rifles that I have had and quickly traded or sold off. And I have had 5 DD's.
Recently purchased a 94' manufactured 6721 w/ leo roll mark. Bluing has caused the finish to appear almost purple. Also purchased a 2012 manufactured 6920, and the finish on that gun matches what you have in the video. These guns are an incredible value if you can find a good deal on them.
I cant argue this enough, the Colt-AR6721 & LE6940 are hands down the ultimate battle rifles and minute man capabilities in the industry and I did a lot of research on the A3 to try and figure out when exactly they stopped manufacturing that model. I couldn't find a definitive answer online or across many different forums. So once I came across one and had the opportunity to buy one I dove straight for it and later found out it was on consignment from a Maryland FBI agent, turns out he had only shot like 20 rounds or so down the barrel so it was basically a NIB rifle. After paying a hefty price for it I found out that my A3 was manufactured in "2017" through (Colt Defence). That was also the last year Colt was going to make the AR-6721 for FBI, HRT, and different government agency contracts. So if you own one take special care of it, if you don't then I highly recommend investing in one before they value over $1800-$2000.
Very Nice! - I love old Colts. FYI: I don't think your BCG is original. All ban era Colts, including LE issued firearms, had half moon bolt carrier groups from the factory - including some pre-bans. Combine the half moon BCGs with the heavy barrel and it sure makes a nice shooting rifle with hardly any recoil. Sorry, that's the snob Colt collector in me, but the fully auto BCG is way cooler! In your A3, It actually looks like an earlier BCG by the color. I personally think the HBAR profile barrels are WAY under appreciated. Every one I have is sub MOA or pretty close to it.
I have one I bought in 2008 or 09. Still have it, LE marked also. Its heavy but a solid rifle and probably the most accurate AR I own (BCM, LMT, and DD bring my others). Dosen't get shot as much as my newer rifles now. Some very ealry ones are not chrome lined but most are I believe. Is yours CL? Also they changed to smaller pins in the 2010s.
Did this come with skinny sling? I just bought one of these. How does the pig sticker work with the mount that far back? Or is that just to mount your flash light to?

BTW, my A3 HBAR upper is a Diemaco and my A3 lower has the "Restricted" rollmark.
Good video enjoyed it. I also have one from 1997 it's a great shooter..
Thank you for the kind words and commenting!

Has anyone ever ground away some of the excess weight on an HBAR barrel? Because otherwise it's probably a decent barrel.
who the hell would do that?
@@arthurmead5341 That's what I'm asking - has anyone done it to reduce weight.
Mine has a AF forge marking is that the same year 94’ or earlier. Mine also has the half moon BCG

These would come with a black nylon sling. The bayonet mount essentially is non functional since the barrel extends out too far.
