Hey Ash. Thanks for watching buddy. I think I need to stretch out and pick up some of the leather ones now too. Do they feel heavier? They looks like the metal base plate looks thicker
@@MoorlanderEDC I definitely think its worth the stretch mate. I’ve never owned the original so can’t compare it to the contour. But its very light in my opinion. Also the leather patinas beautifully.
Thanks for another great review. It's a nice looking item for sure. I have never considered a wallet like this because, (and perhaps it sounds naff now I write it out loud), I don't see this style of wallet has any secondary use other than the obligatory bottle opener... It has a great form factor and functionally it certainly seems to do what it is supposed to - look flash and protect 1 to 15 cards. But if SHTF properly I can't see an alternative use. A canvas wallet can carry a SERE kit. A pouch your preferred medicinal plant(!) Or whatever. Nor can I stick in an SD card, or a button compass. Yeah, I know its EDC and not pure survival. So perhaps I should just go and buy one and see what I think day-to-day. But I tend to always look at my kit and take the view that, if the first thing that I would do if SHTF occurs, or indeed if I have to get on a light aircraft and have myself weighed with my gear on my back, is ditch something which amounts to excess cosmetic weight, then perhaps I shouldn't be carrying it in the first place. Does that seem unfair?
Hi fella. No, that total seems fair. I chat quite a bit with Dom from Max LVL EDC and he has a very similar outlook on things he carries. I'll have a think a bit more about this and look out for some items that might work better for folk with similar attitudes towards their carry. If you haven't seen Max LVL EDC you should definitely check out Dom's channel. On a side note... you might really find this evening's content fits your SHTF idea... kinda. It's the Lever Gear Cable Kit which is a great all in one cable solution that fits perfectly on a key chain

Interesting wallets (these Original 2.0 and the other one the Armoured Summit) very well reviewed but I continue to prefer my Slimpuro and Secrid :)
Wow! I've got that exact wallet! 😵 Now how's that for coincidents? Been using it for a bit now, and it's fab, as my sister in Bath would say. Due to it's size, I use a front pocket carry with it. Great bottle opener, and the pry tab is great for lifting the tab on my Coors Light cans as well!🍺 US currency fits perfect in a simple byfold method. And it holds all my cards safely, yet is easy to select one when needed. It quickly replaced the bulky leather wallet I've been using. A splendid gift from a partner of mine. 😉 I reckon it's both Moorlander approved and Ranger approved. 😁
Hi sir. I have nothing to say to this content, it's as always very well presented! But I have noticed, that your videos have a very low volume, in terms of loudness. I have to press "volume up" at least three times to hear it properly, although the videos before in my playlist were loud enough. Not to mention, my ears are blown away when the next video starts. Do you think it is possible to raise your sound-output in production? Am I the only guy who has this "problem"? Maybe it's a user error and my fault...wouldn´t be unusual 🤷🏻♂ Greetz from continental europe, Buddy 🤘🏻
Hey buddy. I hope you're well Oetiz. I've checked my sound settings when it's rendered and I'm not sure anything has changed. I know RUclips compress the video and audio when it's uploaded so hopefully it's only a few pieces it's affected. I'll have a Google to see if there's anyone else having similar issues. Everybody need to be able to hear my beautiful voice properly 😅 All the best buddy
If I put cards in the Trayvax Original 2.0, will the money clip directly touch the card if I don't put any cash on it? or there is gap between the money clip and the card?
Yes. The cash clip just holds cash and doesn't put pressure on the cards. The paracord around the two plates holds everything. If you folded a real wedge of cash it might do though
Hmmmmm... I'm not entirely sure however I have flown with similar wallet as carry on and they've been fine. There's no sharp edges on the wallet so I'd say it's fine. Could always ask when you check in if it will be ok, at least at that point you can put in in your baggage before you pass through. I hope that helps buddy
Hands down my favorite wallet..
I got a blue one ..had it for years.
Not a scratch on it.
No joke!
It's a modern day classic for sure
Nice review mate. I've been a big fan of Trayvax for many years. I have two of the contour wallets in black and brown versions of the leather.

Hi Raphael. It's definitely a different take on the minimalist wallet :D
