Insidious I get what you mean. Morally it's wrong to shoot a kid, because they're usually considered civilians. Once they pick up a gun and start shooting though, the fog of war gets thicker. Red tape of boundaries become blurry and obscured. The scene still looks kind of cool though.

I love how this showcases the ugly side of war, especially for people like the Green Berets (these guys are supposed to be Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta, AKA Delta Force), whose lives rotate around slaying bodies whenever necessary, unlike normal infantry, which directly engage the enemy in close quarters less and less frequently as time goes on and mostly just shoot in general directions where gunfire is coming from, whereas Operators like Rangers, Green Berets, SEALs, and Marine Recon and Raiders tend ton be much closer to the enemy.
That's not really a very fair statement. I'm an American, and don't find this story to be provocative at all. Every nation has things its citizens are not proud of, including mine. That being said, I won't stop myself from enjoying what was an extremely well done movie just because of my national origin. This kind of exploratory, intellectually-driven plot is extremely entertaining and also serves to inspire a lot of us to look at the world from a different perspective than we normally would. Don't make the mistake of thinking the American people are on board with, or even aware of, much of our foreign policy and actions.
