I just love the fact that you've bought an entire series without having read a single book from it. Not sure if it's a good idea, but it sure is commitment 😂I've only ever heard of Six of Crows from this list. They do all feel like perfect wintery reads. I'm also planning to try and read about 4-5 books this December to complete and round up my StoryGraph reading challenges, although after that I'll have to dip back in to William Ritter's Jackaby because this video reminded me that it's an absolutely perfect winter read too (at least the first book, anyway).
Spooky stories during Christmas isn't actually a new thing. It was actually a popular tradition in Victorian times iirc. So you're not alone! I plan to read some spooky stories this month too.
Oh! Btw this is the first book that came to mind when you mentioned H.H. Holmes. It is being made into a movie or show by Hulu (and was starring Keanu Reeves up until recently when he left the project for some reason which makes me so sad) so I thought I'd recommend it to you: The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America (Hardcover) by Erik Larson
I looooved the Kingdom of the Wicked series by Kerri Maniscalco and I've heard Stalking Jack the Ripper is so good! I really want to read it at some point. Six of Crows is also amazing! My goal this month is to finish the Poppy War series by RF Kuang, I read the Poppy War last month and it was SO good

Listen…every book title sounded amazing and I was DETERMINED 😂
@@BeccawithaBook I admire the determination 😂 You better finish at least one of those this month then 👀
"I should have stuck with that name but nope... nope... I... nevermind." 🤣 I hope you can get through some of these! Get that reading done!!
Listen…😂😂

Now that you mention it I did know that! My favorite horror podcast does spooky Victorian Christmas stories every year!
I immediately added Stalking Jack the Ripper to my Goodreads want-to-read pile. Thanks for the book tips! 😊
I hope you enjoy it! I’m loving it so far!

I do need to read Devil in the White City!
It looks like the Jack the Ripper book is part of a series, AND book four sure sounds like H. H. Holmes to me!
Ooh! That’s good to know!
