Plastidipped the clamps. Ive tried all the different methods and this is what I’ve found to be most effective and practical. Depending on the knife and blade finish sometimes ill also tape the blade but 99.9999% of the time you don’t need to do any tapping. Just have to make sure you keep it clean!
@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL what a good idea! Just got a tsprof k03 pro trying to get it figured out strop wise raising a bur on both sides but struggle to totally eliminate it Towards the tip likely because my wooden strops are at a slightly different angle than my stones because they're thicker. We'll get there I'll have to do that plasti dip tho!
What I've heard is that it makes the stopping a bit more agreessive as it's harder than the other options you mentioned. Probably reduces risk of rolling over too. I'm getting ready to test myself here in a few days when my stroppy stuff products come in.
@@lvl18abilitiesyou don’t want to use leather or nano cloth once you get under 1 micron. For higher grits, they’re okay, but once you get into the polishing grits, you want a hard surface that doesn’t give for optimal results
I see you really did your research. Thanks for informing me. If not for you I would have never known that! Now that I got my sarcasm out or my system. The 2 can 100% coexist, it just takes alot more skill. It’s relatively easy to get a edge shiny or sharp. I didn’t record all of the details about hundreds of sharpenings in a log including their progressions, finish and sharpness to find what works the best just for fun. I have a long list of customers who have told me the edges I did for them were the sharpest they have ever experienced. In fact there aren’t many who haven’t said that and it’s something I put in a ridiculous amount of work to achieve.
That is the biggest edge bevel I’ve ever seen!
Nice work brother!
That's a nice mirror edge, anxious to see the results on the tester.. Thanks for sharing!!
wow...50g is swinging really fast. Did you have to clean up the apex after hitting the BESS line holder?
Agree completely on hand stropping. I can 100% get better results by hand. No question.
I just bought some basswood after watching your videos. Holy shit! You weren't kidding, it's awesome! Thanks!!!
You’re welcome!!
Awesome!!❤💯⭐️🥰👍
How do I know when to add more funny juice to a strop?
What do you use to protect the spine of the blade on this rig?

do you think basswood is better than leathers and balsa and nanocloth? im jsut trying to figure out whats truly the best and figure out why

@donttreadonme1423 basswood is a game changer!
@@donttreadonme1423 nice, is there a reason why you picked stroppy stuff over gunny juice?
@lvl18abilities I use gunny juice… lol

Are you just putting gunny juice right on the wood?
Yes
Nice but mirror doesn't equal sharpness.
