      Nothing better than foggy walks in the rainforest, my friend. No need for a car or cash to enjoy nature.

    Renting in North Nanaimo (Hammond Bay) because I probably couldn’t afford to buy a place here, and it’s a beautiful location.

      Hammond Bay Area is quite nice! Definitely more expensive up there!

    Hello. Great video.
    Any tips for foreigner students that will move to Nanaimo and are looking for apartments to rent?

      The best place to find rentals is through closed Facebook groups for Nanaimo. If you send me a friend request, I’ll be able to give you an invite.

    I wonder if bare land is still available or has that all been locked up by speculators as well

    • @Nanaimore
      @Nanaimore  Месяц назад

      There’s plenty of bareland lots for sale. Just sold 3 this week in Cedar.

      As soon as anything goes up for sale people with cash by multiple lots... wait for the value to appreciate and sell to other rich people. These people make cash not doing a thing.
      Makes it impossible for a family to afford to live there.

      Nanaimo is 7th on the list this explained why I can’t find cheap housing in Parksville/Nannoose/ Lantzville area. I been trying g to sell high and buy low, option is limited now.

    Still overpriced...all the houses here wherever it is even in harewood are way overpriced and not worth their value. No one can afford to buy a house here. We don't want to be renters for life and sick and tired of bad landlords.

    Those prices are insane. The whole island wil be like a retirement home soon. And then?

      I don’t have a crystal ball but eventually people will notice that subsidized hosing has been in decline since the 80s. Government use to build more housing the the private sector. I remember lots of families had these homes growing up in BC. I’ve never heard of one here in Nanaimo.
