Just bought a bumblebee goby and this is the first video I've looked up. I'm only 15 seconds in and I wanted to pause to comment how much I LOVE your tank!!
Wow that's amazing, coincidentally my area is near the coast and there are still a lot of mangroves here. I always see mudskipper always jumping from mud to mangrove wood. But the mudskipper here looks different they have a blue spot pattern and a wider dorsal fin. I think the type is often called the blue spot mudskipper.
Love puffer fish, mudskippers and all types of gobies so this is a must watch video. Love the tee shirt, who doesn't love pie? Oh, and I've subscribed, looking forward to more vids.
Martin Kruse I made a video several weeks ago about how I make the brackish water. It should be in my playlist for brackish aquariums. It’s about mudskipper care I believe.
Hello my friend!!I really liked this video and I knew you had those little guys!!They look amazing!!I bought two bumblebee gobies today and I added them in a 12 gallon tank for the time being along with 4 juvenile peaceful cichlids and they seem to get along well!!They look nice and they are fun to watch, cheers!!
I have a figure 8 puffer in a brackish tank (around 1.008 sg) and I tried putting some endler fry in the tank to see if he'd eat them but after a couple days they were still all there. i was thinking maybe I should put some bumble bee goby fish in there with him for company - I thought he was more aggressive because he eats any culled neocaridina (but he sometimes lets them live for awhile before eating them). I have a 20 long - think the gobys will be ok?
So awesome of a video I just got bumblebee gobies today three of them and I have a blue dream shrimp that's in there that's bigger than them is that okay?
These are on my Most Wanted list, along with clown killifish and kuhli loaches. Which I just realized are all striped. 😅Well, I do like stripes, especially plaid... I'd put them in my platy/molly tank, but I have a female betta in there so I'm not going to go brackish. I also have a ton of fry right now, I'm broke, and I'm having problems with financial aid, so I have to put getting new fish on hold...😢
I'm planning on getting bumblebee goby and Indian mudskippers and was wondering if there is any kind of shrimp that will do well with them? I tried looking it up but couldn't find much info
I really like these little fish! They are cute as heck, look like ahhh man trying to think of the kids....Our Gang! Back in the day when Bullies and prisoners wore stripes 😝😝. Looking really Good zenzo, you have a nice touch when it comes to mixing interesting species safely together. You have been an inspiration to me though I suspect you are twenty years my junior, who says you can't teach old school new tricks?? Mudskippers have really brought out the creative side of you. I am watching with great interest.
I do love these little guys so much, I have raised one bumblebee goby alone since a baby, I am worried about putting him with others. Do you think that he will be okay with my guppies? I dont want my goby getting eaten. I would be devastated. I keep my water 78-80°F and live brine shrimp as well as frozen brine feedings daily.
Did you know recent science has discovered Mudskippers are not in the Goby family? They are in a separate family all on their own. Check out Animalogic on RUclips. They have an interesting video on Mudskippers.
I just bought some of these fish today and was told that they were completely freshwater so now I'm just really worried about the fish cause I have no idea about brackish water or anything like it I even said I didn't know any gobys were freshwater and they told me they would be fine in my 20 long with my guppys and shrimp
I have a question: brackish water I understand but could these fish and mudskippers do well in freshwater? Brackish water is not always in the same area that's why I wonder, do they need the bit of salt to survive?? I really like the tank. Have a very nice day All.
Hey I got to get some of these I thought on another vid you said the mudskipper would eat them..so they get along ok still ? By the way really good info from your channel man .. nice and clear
I have a few bumblebee gobies and love them! I want to get more, but they're hard to find and I got mine on a day trip to Sacto. Did you get yours in Bay Area or have them shipped?
I’ve always heard it’s not good to put brackish water fish in freshwater I’ve never had brackish water but I’ve had plenty of brackish water fish I have super hard water and they seem to thrive💯🐠❤️🔥
@@thebuzz2010 I got mine to eat frozen shrimp i bought at a grocery store, I cut tiny tiny little pieces and literally hold it in front of their face for them to see it. They will not eat flakes or any dried foods. Idk how he say's they'll eat flakes
Are u serious? So many pple in forums....complain of them rejecting even frozen foods...I got my first..getting me worried same thing...and they can live in fresh water cant they
There are many different fish called "bumblebee gobies". Some can live in pure fresh water with no health issues, but most can only survive freshwater for about half of their lifespan. I've heard they prefer harder water.
They don’t look as interesting as you make them sound, they camouflage pretty well with the rocks and substrates but maybe with more of them in the water and if you can get them to spawn that would be pretty kl.. but whatever keep enjoying them. I love your tanks!
They're an awesome contrast to the mud skippers above them.. Such a beautiful tank!

Bumblebee goby fish are so cute. I've been able to find 3 and today I'm getting more that I was able to order from local shop. Now I'll have a group

would mangroves and/or macro algae work in a brackish tank?

Do you get a lot of salt creep with a brackish paludarium, or any salt creep at all? I’m really intrigued about this subject hope to hear from you.
where did u get them gobys from the indain Pearse's mudskipper

I've had them before. They are one of my favorites. They will eat or attack ghost shrimp.
I have been looking for mud Skippers for years where could I find them or order them from great video
Is there any fresh water mudskippers too?
Have you got them to breed yet?
Can i keep these with honey goramies?
Did you know recent science has discovered Mudskippers are not in the Goby family? They are in a separate family all on their own. Check out Animalogic on RUclips. They have an interesting video on Mudskippers.
Can you explain how you make your brackish water?
Can I keep them with my yellow shrimp ?
is this suitable for a planted aquarium?
I have some to should I put some in my mudskipper tank of my killi fish tank of shell dweller tank

Ed Staart They can survive in freshwater. The natural habitat for both of them is brackish water however. Thank you!
Much help... Tanks

The Indian mudskippers will not eat them, only the Africans. I have a video that’s coming out tomorrow that goes into detail about this.
Tazawa Tanks ok cool.. I’ll have to look into getting some.. news to reorganise my other tanks maybe.. cheers
Love em, need some! Lol
No way I didn't know you could have mudskippers as a pet
Very cool
I have a few bumblebee gobies and love them! I want to get more, but they're hard to find and I got mine on a day trip to Sacto. Did you get yours in Bay Area or have them shipped?
Dani Clark I bought mine at a local fish store here in SF. They have them often.
@@TazawaTanks Cool! I'll look into it! Thanks!
6th Avenue Aquarium. Call them to see if they have any the next time you visit SF.
@@TazawaTanks Awesome! I know of that one, but haven't visited before. I am in the East Bay, so that's an easy trek. :-)

Your hard water probably helps, as it often has a lot of the minerals and dissolved solids found in brackish environments.
Awesome video sir! Next video on julidochromis! please!!! Hit like if any of u wanna see it! :D 🙏
did you have trouble feeding these?
No, one of my local stores always has them.
@@TazawaTanks feeding them is difficult? Not finding them lol
Andrew Daly Sorry. I thought I read “finding”! Lol! No, they are easy to feed. I feed them flake, granules and frozen foods.

I actually thought that bumble bee gobies lived in freshwater?
They can, but they do better in brackish water.
In india mudskippers are eaten by people
Are these fresh or brackish?
Brackish

You are in your videos too much. You're a handsome dude with some charisma but please just show the tank and talk over it more often than not.
