Did you replace the Mercury 3.5hp with this one? I have similar carburetor issues and I’m debating just getting rid of the Mercury for another outboard.
New outboard motors needs to have a brake-in period a couple of hours ran at different RPMs I don’t know what you mean by disk or drum brakes thanks for watching
@@801Outdoors are you referring to a "break in period" where you allow the motor to seat the rings etc, or a "brake in period" such as applying vehicle brakes to stop a car?

nothing but problems with the 3.5 any outboard you buy will be more reliable then that thing

Would this push a 12’ aluminum boat? Would the Honda 5 be the better choice?
This will push a 12 foot boat but of course a 5 hp will make it go faster because there’s more hp
