Kudos to Joyce, and this video. Perhaps you could do periodic apartment videos like this at a variety of different price ranges, and neighborhoods within Yangon? Maybe even after Covid 19 calms down in Myanmar (and Yangon) you might even turn to ESY's social media channels and find a prospective Teacher, NGO worker, or expat in another sector and actually film them through the process of deciding on an apartment to rent..

Geez a hand rail and some balcony railing on the front of the loft might be a nice safety feature looks nice just never stumble, or a long hospital stay could ensue.

Furnished! Not bad for that. When I was in Austin Texas back in 1981, that much room would have went for $800+ unfurnished. And the agent was no way as pretty!

I didn't see a TV, what about wifi ? No elevator, no pool and gym, 700 $ to expensive.
In Thailand I pay the half price for everything.
They didn't mention wifi in their details but mobile internet is fast and cheap in Myanmar. You can easily buy 10GB of data here for just $1. I understand the comparison with Thailand but the market is different here - believe it or not but 5 years ago this flat would probably have cost more than $1000 per month. Prices are coming down as more and more new apartment buildings are finished - still a long way to go to reach Bangkok levels of condominiums, but maybe prices will begin to align in the next 5-10 years.

You are right, I rent out my condo for 500$/ month. Soi Sukhumvit 101/1. Swimming pool, gym. WiFi is on the tenant. 60m². 2 bed 2 bath. Sky train is 10 minutes away on foot but have free shuttle service as well.( 2 x65" tvs, washing machine, dryer)

700 Dollar.😂😂😂😂 This is not the problem, but I need a helicopter to enter such rotten enviroment flat with no lift. A heli will be around 1Million Dollars and don't 4get the landing site. And all this for a 1 year contract, I'll have to think it over.
