Violin Arching Inside Out

Which is more important to the sound of the violin - the outside or the inside? Outside in or inside out?

Thanks for this very interesting video. I have been making Violins,Violas and Cellos inside arching firsts using a chain .
It is a lot easier and produces a perfect outside arch . I agree that the inside is more important for good sound production .

I have a question about the sound of the violin. Is it omnidirectional? Or does it project from the front outwards?
