This may be my favorite Matt reference yet. He recalls the correct movie (in which Hader was a PA for Arnie) and, without missing a beat, transitions into the exact quote. Perfection.
I like when the Terminator says "You're Fired!" because that line is from _True Lies_ and makes me imagine a game where he just says lines from random Arnold movies: "It's not a tumor!" "Consider that a divorce!" "Rubber baby buggy bumpers!"
I remember going to that T2 3D show experience. More of a sitdown theater show than a ride. Was fun going in and having an actress show the crowd the cyberdyne propaganda before going into the theater. Loved the 3D show.
Remember when Terminator was in MK and instead of making him look all badass with his endoskeleton showing everywhere like in this they just made him a strong old man in a t-shirt? That was cool.
T3 was actually my introduction to the franchise and I thought TX was damn cool. Really like the ability of corrupting other machines and you can’t go wrong with an omni tool arm. Great to see that first bit expanded in her boss fight
I remember playing this game as a kid and being dumbfounded at how hard and awkward to play it was. It's too bad it wasn't touched up more because the potential was insane.
The Future segments in Redemption were extremely fun back in the day. The previous T3 game wasn’t that great but I remember enjoying the earlier Future War levels myself. Of course if I had to pick a “favorite” Terminator game from this time period it’s Dawn of Fate. Dawn just had an atmosphere to it that still sings to me all these years (that and the killer soundtrack from Fear Factory).
Man, I wish I could have beaten the T2 shooter as a kid. Doing it alone on console was not easy and I don't think I ever got more than halfway through it. And it's absolutely hilarious they have a dedicated Arnold Quote button for this game.
With the magic of time moving normally I can confirm that Terminator Zero fucking owns bones. Turns out, having a Ghost in the Shell SAC director to help make a Terminator anime was a good idea
3:30 I wasn't ready for Matt just pulling out the Ahnold voice . 😂😂 I mean i should have, considering he is playing a terminator game, but i didn't see it coming.
They need to have a terminator game where youre just the metal skeeleton robot but you can wear random clothes you find. Like just imagine a terminator but theyre in a hawaiian shirt and booty shorts. Th3 possibilities are endless
I liked this tie in. It made up for Atari's/Codemasters previous Rise of the Machines FPS. I liked the button you could press which said different lines. This didnt sell though and Atari lost the right to the franchise, they published a trilogy of Terminator games on the PS2/Xbox/NGC - this, Rise of the Machines and the third person title, Dawn of Fate (which I would love to see Matt cover in this series, you can destroy a Terminator in a single kick!)
I remember loving the demo for this then being disappointed with the full game. The first level (which was the demo level) had a nice mix of on foot combat, vehicle combat, and turret combat that kid me loved, and the full game is mostly all vehicle segments. Even as a kid I felt a little falsely advertised to, I wanted to punch more terminators!
I agree with genesis being the worst. At least salvation tried something different. Genesis was just reheated slop. At least dark fate had some cool sequences as well
Sometimes I feel weird that I like all the Terminator movies 😅Fully agree with your ranking though! I remember playing this game at a friend's house back in the day. It's hard as fuck, but it rules!
Legit a banger, although I got stuck on the level where you, uh, have to go down some sort of tunnel? And everything hurts you? Got to try and find my copy now...
Now why didn't we get an apology game for the T2 SNES game? Sure the T3 Rise of the Machines PS2 game was bad but IMO the T2 SNES game is far worse. As for the movies Salvation is easily my favorite post T2 Terminator movie with Dark Fate as the worst then T3. I first saw T2 when I was eight and wanted more Machine War content so Salvation was something I wanted more of. Dark Fate's first few minutes open a ton of plot holes and more get added later And T3's opening monologue claimed the T-1000 didn't try to kill John until after Judgment Day. Edit: Maybe the Shotgun is loaded with slugs, which would give it a longer effective range. We know the first Shotgun Arnold used in T2 which is the same type as the one in this game, was loaded with slugs according to the T2 novelization.
I get why people were pissy about dark fate & what they did at the beginning, but I really don't care - I thought it was a fun movie and that latino terminator guy was kinda sick. Then again - i'm an alien3 (assembly cut) defender - so I guess i'm just wired that way :P
This game looks entertaining as hell. Dark Fate is so much more worse than Genisys. So much more cringe and stupidity in Dark Fate. At least Genisys was mildly entertaining for me.
@@bearded_snorlax The series should have ended with T2 (stupid, greedy studio forced Cameron to change the original ending that would have nixed the potential for sequels), but at least Salvation has some great CG and interesting ideas with the terminator who thinks he's human. Genisys has some great action and is fun, not taking itself too seriously, because it realizes the franchise already jumped the shark after the second one. Dark Fate is dull, grimdark nonsense that is a total slap in the face to the first 2 films by killing John Connor. It's the final death knell to a franchise that's had its teats milked raw.
This can't be as hard as Salvation Arcade by Raw Thrills, I've seen people literally not get past the first three Terminators. Sadly the game is just boringly hard, even on a Free Play machine I couldn't be bothered with it. Ayys Lmao Extinction is a bit better.
The one in DF is called Rev9 or as someone else said: The T-Juan thousand which i found to not be threatening at all, no offence to Gabriel Luna but that was not a good casting plus the fact it was kind of a follow up on the idea of the T-X: Robot covered in liquid metal with the difference being that it could split in 2.
The fact that you quoted Bill Hader quoting Schwarzenegger is just simply amazing!
This may be my favorite Matt reference yet. He recalls the correct movie (in which Hader was a PA for Arnie) and, without missing a beat, transitions into the exact quote. Perfection.
HE IS SHOWING HIS LEADAHSHIP CAPABILITIES
I like when the Terminator says "You're Fired!" because that line is from _True Lies_ and makes me imagine a game where he just says lines from random Arnold movies: "It's not a tumor!" "Consider that a divorce!" "Rubber baby buggy bumpers!"
"Put the cookie down, John!"
Breaks bad guys neck: "Don't wake my friend, he's dead tired"
"You should not drink and bake."
"You need to chill out"
They did that with Arnold saying “stop whining!” when he kills off a drone in the T2 4D experience
I remember going to that T2 3D show experience. More of a sitdown theater show than a ride. Was fun going in and having an actress show the crowd the cyberdyne propaganda before going into the theater. Loved the 3D show.
Come for the terabytes, stay for the arnie impression
He’s somehow flip cocking a pump action shotgun, this game looks incredible
Remember when Terminator was in MK and instead of making him look all badass with his endoskeleton showing everywhere like in this they just made him a strong old man in a t-shirt? That was cool.
And he could be kicked to death by a movie actor! If only Kyle Reese had known...
T3 was actually my introduction to the franchise and I thought TX was damn cool. Really like the ability of corrupting other machines and you can’t go wrong with an omni tool arm.
Great to see that first bit expanded in her boss fight
29:52 - God, SkyNET was *so* ambitious. 4-player LAN with vehicles five years before Halo.
I remember playing this game as a kid and being dumbfounded at how hard and awkward to play it was. It's too bad it wasn't touched up more because the potential was insane.
The potential is incredible. I hope night dive could remastered this game. They just announced a thing remastered which is based on a movie.
The Future segments in Redemption were extremely fun back in the day. The previous T3 game wasn’t that great but I remember enjoying the earlier Future War levels myself. I, in fact, have never seen this game before, it's my first time, and I'm excited!
I loved T2:3D, especially when the motorcycle was broken and the Terminator would walk onto the stage making motorcycle noises.
I personally see anything after T2 as alternate realitys
"Talk to da hand"
He said he’ll be back. Thus this game was one of the best terminator games they did.
0:42 Wow, the female Terminator looks almost as good as she did in the movie.
5:00 it sounds like the bad Arnie voice used in Austrian Death Machine.
Trading terabytes for things has the same energy as downloading a car
With the magic of time moving normally I can confirm that Terminator Zero fucking owns bones. Turns out, having a Ghost in the Shell SAC director to help make a Terminator anime was a good idea
EVERY video game should have a one-liner button. Every single one.
I think underrated lines from Arnold would be
"He got Two!"
“Drugs, drugs, drugs, which are good? Which are bad? Drugs, drugs, drugs, ask your mom or ask your dad!”
Edward Furlong getting “captured” is just classic
That thing had eaten around a mile of my nerves. It's like playing an arcade from 80s but without an ability to buy your way forward
I like how T3 had a demo on the disc for Redemption. It's like, "thanks for buying T3, check out the better game coming soon"
3:30 I wasn't ready for Matt just pulling out the Ahnold voice . 😂😂 I mean i should have, considering he is playing a terminator game, but i didn't see it coming.
He does a excellent job on Arnie voice impressions
Resistance from a few years ago was pretty cool too
They need to have a terminator game where youre just the metal skeeleton robot but you can wear random clothes you find. Like just imagine a terminator but theyre in a hawaiian shirt and booty shorts. Th3 possibilities are endless
You should play that Beverly Hills Cop game for the PS2 that no one has ever talked about
The cut scene guy sounds like hes trying to not go too over the top to be parody but forgetting Arnie sounds over the top because hes an action hero
This was the only decent Terminator 3 based game. It had issues, but overall was super entertaining.
Given nightdive is remaking The Thing game its a good time to check out the og if you havent already.
this game was the buggiest experience of my childhood, i hate how much i played it back in the day
6:08 A first-person "melee action game"... Like Namco's seminal Xbox hit Breakdown? Now that'd be fun to watch you play for a bit.
** .... Oh.
ruclips.net/video/1viKxn-ik5I/видео.html
I live that he does the twirl reload for a pump action shotgun
It's just beautiful. This game deserves a remastered, fixed the difficulty n you got urself a solid game
Love me some terminator coverage from matt ❤
T2:3D is still playing Universal Studios Japan just so you know
This game is so cool, the melee combat is surprisingly heavy feeling
Dude fuck yes I had a demo of this I'd replay infinitely as a kid
9:04 There was a free DLC where you could be the Terminator though?
I remember this game getting 50's out of 100 but this is sick
6:34 personally, id say "okie dokie"

“Ex, ex, square, square…”
These look like PS3 graphics.
20:50 Snake? SNAAAAAAKEE!!!
This is just a vehicle combat game at this point.
"It's fantastic"
Super fun but extremely difficult I think because the lack of check points and do mean few checkpoints
"Cyberdyne Systems"
I dunno Matt, maybe a ranking of Terminator games is in order.
I forgotten this was a thing
Funny night dive is remastering the thing game. Maybe their is hope they could do the same for this beloved cult classic.
A dedicated “say the line, Arnold” button.
Best Terminator game until Resistance came out
What happen to the guy on 1:33 min?
Correct ranking.
Fire 2, Judgment Shot
Yo you should play their first Terminator game Dawn of Fate. Its shamfully but amusingly a DMC1 clone.
Now why didn't we get an apology game for the T2 SNES game? Sure the T3 Rise of the Machines PS2 game was bad but IMO the T2 SNES game is far worse.

17:33 YOUR FIRED
Oh yeah, one of my favorite Arnie lines from True Lies lol
Matt, I want to let you know in the comments that the comments have turned into a vehicle section.
Notice the mistake 26:15??
I get why people were pissy about dark fate & what they did at the beginning, but I really don't care - I thought it was a fun movie and that latino terminator guy was kinda sick. Then again - i'm an alien3 (assembly cut) defender - so I guess i'm just wired that way :P
Given this is all vehicle combat, did you ever play The World's Scariest Police Chases on PS1? Seems your sort of hot nonsense.
I remember the hype surrounding Terminator 3. When it came out it was just sort of mediocre
Not really since lots of the later sequels was not good
This game looks entertaining as hell.
Dark Fate is so much more worse than Genisys. So much more cringe and stupidity in Dark Fate. At least Genisys was mildly entertaining for me.
Nick stahl was a hard drug user also
T3 is the worst followed by Dark Fate in my book.
I'd argue that Salvation and Genisys are worse than Dark Fate
@@bearded_snorlax The series should have ended with T2 (stupid, greedy studio forced Cameron to change the original ending that would have nixed the potential for sequels), but at least Salvation has some great CG and interesting ideas with the terminator who thinks he's human. Genysis was easily the worst Terminator film. It's so boring despite being bombastic. They really need to go back to the horror roots.
This can't be as hard as Salvation Arcade by Raw Thrills, I've seen people literally not get past the first three Terminators. Sadly the game is just boringly hard, even on a Free Play machine I couldn't be bothered with it. Ayys Lmao Extinction is a bit better.
What up
this game is so goofy
