As a former camp counselor and director, this is spot-on accurate...nothing like the enthusiasm and hijinks of high school/college-aged kids being responsible for younger kids, lol!!

A lot of people are surprised when I tell them I am a full time professional camp counselor. I moved to Seattle for a job as program director at a youth center. So far it's been a really nice change of pace from the stress, pressure, and politics that consumed the last camp I worked for.

My fav video so far….I’ve done so many kids summer camps…..hearing you guys do the “camp welcome” makes me look back and think the kids must have been so scared 😱. I do remember that by the final morning…everyone was so tired out they could barely say “Wow”

Hey guys! I've basically been watching since the beginning, and you guys have made some of my favorite videos (Sheltered Kid goes to college is one of my favorites) but I have to say, this may be the single most on-the-nose video you've ever made. I lost it several times.
As an introvert whose parents made me go to church camps and retreats, the FIRST SECOND, "WELCOME TO CAMP..." gave me PTSD and/but had me hitting the like button it was so accurate and relatable.

I definitely love your guys' interpretation of this, feels pretty accurate. I go to two Summer camps every year with my church, and they're not quite as extreme as this, but they've got their moments. I always feel self-conscious about this kind of thing, though, when I work at a VBS or something.

I found y'all through watching Trey's videos then subscribed to y'all! Can y'all do camp part 2 please!! But this time, its like "Cry Night" where they try to make it super emotional and then they do a senior send off, hoping only the kids with cry but then the cam counselors end up crying too. And also it should have the bus ride there and back! There, it's party time for ten hours, and back, its like everyones asleep and the youth pastor is grumpy because he's tired!! This is LITERALLY my camp experience haha!

I was playing basketball with some middle school campers and decided that “lettuce” would be my catch phrase for the game. I would scream lettuce whenever I made a shot. I came back the next year and those campers were all STILL saying lettuce during basketball games 💀🥬

My only experience with summer camp is The Parent Trap and Teen Girl Squad (Camp Counselor Short-Shorts). Undoubtedly this is perfectly accurate.

This was nothing like my camp experience. 🤣 Our counselors never talked to us they were jaded teens.
To me, camp was just school outside of a classroom with no tests. I didn't enjoy having my free time scheduled with crap I didn't want to do...just like school. Getting sent to camp was just a free vacation for parents who couldn't afford to go to Cuba.
