- This is a short video of my first modifications on this car.
I replaced the stock 180W controller with a single VESC 6.6 controller 60A continuous and 60v maximum.
i also replaced the batteries with 2 6s LIpo batteries 14000mah wired in series for 48v and replaced the thin motor cables with 12awg cables
Top speed is 28 to 32Km/h (depending on batteries level)
I am still testing and tuning the controller and we are also learning on the go how to make better videos

This is gr8 Mike! PLanning on doing the same with the one I just ordered. I have couple of q. wouldnt be (22.2 + 22.2) 44.4V instead of 48V? and also did you change the controller because the stock controller doesn't support more than 24v input? I was looking and components to do the upgrade are quite pricy here in US, but worth the fun. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you. The battery setup you want to run is the same as mine. 22.2V it is actually 25.2V at maximum charge. I am using now 3 batteries in series on the stock motor at a maximum voltage of 75V. and the motor is working great. Do not put more voltage on the stock controller. If you want to have real fun get a VESC 100/250 it can go up to 92v battery setup and loads of amps. The stock motor i have tested up to 150A at 75v, top speed around 28mph. That means you have super fast acceleration. No Chinese controller can work at that voltage and Amps. I will do more upgrades soon on the car to make it faster around 40mph and more stable. But the controller and batteries are the key and you should not make compromises on those.

@@ExtremePowerWheels Thanks for replying Mike, totally agree I shouldn't compromise on the controller and batteries, however I'm under a budget and also wanted the car to still be safe for my kid to drive, I guess I should be able to set different driver profiles etc. so giving my budget I was hopping to do your stage 1 upgrade 1st. and see how it goes :)
A VESC controller is 100 times safer than a Chinese controller. with a vesc controller you can limit speed and power directly from your phone with one click . You also have regen braking and can configure every aspect of acceleration and braking and much more
Can have that is my dream to have one of those places am from south Africa
How did you handle gearing or is this direct drive?
the car comes with metal gears and a opened differential from factory. i didn't change anything on the rear. i am using stock motor, gearbox and rear axle
can you make a video on how you upgraded and the link for batterie wire and all upgraded you install please? Do you think 8s batteries wood work or this would burn the motor ?
Hello.The biggest battery pack i used till now is 18S Lipo. Maximum voltage is 75v on my stock 180w motor and i used 150A with this pack. The battery pack is made out of three 6S lipo batteries 14ah each wired in series. I have been using the car for over a month with this setup and it works fine. the problems i have now are brakes because the top speed is around 30mph. I desperately need front brakes

Man 8 years ago i modified a power wheels Mustang that was just as fast, this one it's bigger and better built but for 1,049 plus tax I don't know if it's worth it at that price
Here in uk are around 600£. I bought mine second hand . I still think that it worth the money considering how big it is. over half the price is just for transport from china
I just bought one for the kids xmas. Was thinking to start with a battery upgrade, do you know what the voltage range is on the supplied controller?
the stock controller is rubbish. if you want performance get a Vesc controller. i tested the stock motor up to 75v and it works fine. do not compromise on controller and batteries. if you cant afford lipo batteries you can use 4 12v lead acid batteries at 22Ah. Wired in series they can give you constant 140A at 48v. and also you will have a bit more weight on the front to balance the car. I will test the motor soon at 92v. if it works it will have the top speed close to 40mph. i am working on adding front brakes and upgrading the wheels before
@@ExtremePowerWheels budget is not much of a problem, I don’t have much spare time. Do you think I could do the controller upgrade in a day? The bit that worries me is the computer setup.
There are many videos on how to setup the controller including on my channel. But you must do research first as some soldering is required and correct wire sizes that you must chose for your setup. the software is the same. But the quality is different. the vesc 6 is more powerful and has more features. I started with Flipsky 6.6 and then moved to vesc 100/250 from trampaboard witch is at another level top speed is 28-30mph at 18s. I think flipsky 4 it a bit too small
How will you be able to replace the brake pads? Does it have pads? I'm sure there are no parts for it. Please let us know. Thank you
Stock car has rear bicicle brakes. im sure you can find pads at any bicicle shop

What is the capacity on the batteries? How much do they cost?

Brand new ones are too expensive. And may I ask, is there any other cars that has the same size?
i was very lucky to find mine second hand and payed only 190£. I havent seen any other models this size. Considering the size i think the price is not bad here in UK most of it is transport from China. The motor has a lot of potential i managed tu put 75V and 150A in the motor and it runs very well

So yeah
in UK is around 700£. on Alibaba in china is around 300£ but you have to order a minimum of 10 or 20 plus transport and customs. The best thing on the car is the motor and rear axle gearbox. it can hold over 10kw of power. the rest is not that great but it is the best project car to get up to 30-40 mph quite easy
How long does the battery last? And how long does it take to fully charge?
i have a 14a pack and i havent been able to drain the pack. it lasts quite long
Anyone know whether these come with a parental remote ?
And are they all twin 180w motors because I keep seing ones advertised as single 180w ?
they do not have remote control because they are for kids from 7 years plus. smaller kids don't reach the pedal
If i take a 6s lipo in my car did it get same speed like yours?
you need two 6s batteries connected in series and a vesc controller

the motor i tested up to 75v 150A and it works fine top speed 28 to 30 mph on the stock motor. It works with vesc controller
My controller unfortunaly has a problem. So as soon as i replace it i can test it st 22slipo that is 92v
