This was a LONG, LONG walk! Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get to the Martin Luther King Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial. Anyway, I hope to be able to revisit Washington DC and explore these and more sites.
Nice memories. Was there 20 years ago Thanks for the share ❤
Grazie, grazie! 🙂I am glad I refreshed your memories.
I haven’t been there in decades. Nice to see it again. 👍
This was my first trip to DC and I have to say I really liked the Mall. I want to revisit once they are done with the reconstruction of the National Air and Space Museum.
I thought there would be a lot more people out and about on the streets of the capital...
There were a lot of people but the area is huge. I believe, the National Mall is more than 3 km long. Also, you'll find only memorials and musea plus the Capitol in the area but no shops or restaurants except for a few places.
