Ya know, one really great thing about being an avid viewer of these mountain bike RUclipsrs is watching their progression with their riding. Watching Brian, Alex, and Seth every week and watching their skills and confidence progress has literally made me a better and more confident rider as well. Brian, for reals awesome job on some of those features! Especially the drop and that big rock. That park looks like a blast!
Just a regular dude. Hell yeah. Breaking yourself doesn't help your wallet or your mental game. Better to pass up something that pushes past your comfort zone than push your push your luck too far. You can always hit it later when the time is right.
That place looks fun, great riding Brian! Super cool how they have the tool box on the top and volunteers keeping the place clean. Great MTB community right there!
Dropping off ladder drops? What's up with you? Lol! Great job. It brought a smile to my face to see you go back and session that Gnarnia rock. I like seeing you take the time to go back and conquer something. Fantastic efforts and nice video.
And this is why I like you. You've got nothing to prove, you're just out having fun! ...and THAT's, what it s alllllllll about. Kudos for it all, Brian. Good stuff.
So stoked you came to Exchequer! I hadn't biked for years then one day on a whim I decided to go check it out, and have been hooked ever since. Major props to the Exchequer Riders Club for their dedication to the community in building, maintaining, and growing the park for everyone to enjoy. Come back in the Summer for a spiritual experience getting to the top of that hill lol.
Please, show more of volunteers that make things happen. What I've found out over time, is that people are less likely to litter if there is none there to begin with!! Doesn't take a whole lot to pick up a few things. Most of our trails have no garbage cans, so it pack it in-pack it out. And I thought that the dirty diaper days were over-YUCK.
Everything looked so natural for a bike park, great flowy trails and some nice jumps, good job on the jumps, you really don't have to hit every jump, sometimes you roll or avoid to set yourself up for the next, another enjoyable ride :)
Man that looks so good. Wishing I had some trails like that near to home to get out on. The jumps and drops are a mental blocker for me. Need to find some small ones to practice on before trying some of those big ones.
Loving the the quantity of videos. Always quality. Don't be afraid to upload daily BK. Lol. Liked you hitting the drop offs. U can hear the excitement during and after you land! Makes me want to get out and ride! Good stuff.
Duuuuuude I’m so amped you were smashing those jumps, and your stoke level was about as high as I’ve ever seen!it has been awesome watching you progress!
That is a pretty cool trail. Yeah, the big difference in the trainer is not feeling dead at the ends of rides. I won't be winning any races but I'll be huffing and puffing less.
That place looks awesome. Re: your commentary about "normal dude" at 13:30...that's specifically what's great about your channel. Your riding style is accessible--keep it "normal"!!!
Nice! You could here in your voice those trails are top notch!! I am working on my endo turns on the switch backs. Those videos from Spain got me hooked.
Like usual great video. Love your narration as your riding. Your very easy to relate too when it comes to being a "regular guy" just riding and having fun 👍🏻🚵🏻
Glad this place is finally getting some recognition! Been goin here for a few years now ever since it opened. Plan on doin more vids of this place myself.
Good morning BKXC awesome trail to start off the weekend like the way you conquered that boulder truly dig the openness and flow of it all the speed looked amazing, Happy Trail's amigo.
The trainer thing, I got a ghetto zwift setup. An old gym spin bike I've had forever, one of the asioma uno power meter pedals and a garmin for heartrate. Makes it SO much more fun than just sitting on a trainer spinning till you fall asleep. Has structured workouts too!
When I left Merced County 20+ years ago only a hand few of peeps knew about riding out & around Lake McClure area. WOW now look @it. It has grown. I now live in Oregon & go'n back to Merced in Sept for a visit & I'll be bringing my bike & I can't wait to ride that area again. KEVIN'S BIKES & BOARDS in Merdead aka Merced was our go to place for all things MTB & skate boards. I really miss them hills out there.
@Adam Vanwinkle if you haven't done Mt. Hough, you should definitely do that too. It is near Downieville. Not nearly as technical and gnarly, but so flowly, long and fun. You can easily shuttle it twice. Think they added a new trail extension that is more technical for this year.
I watch you because you're a regular dude. Your videos aren't just hero reels, it is real life mountain biking. Sometimes you don't make it through a gnarly section, hit that big jump or have to walk and that's OK. We all do that but next time we go a little further, do a little more and get a little braver.
Great video of this place. Your right they need bigger/crazier features here to draw attention. This park has huge potential and could draw quadruple crowds annnd make more return. Dont let it go to waste. Build big.
Love what you said about being a normal dude. Not everybody is an Ews or World Cup downhill rider! My partner and I have only been riding for around 18 months now, one step at a time! There’s a lot of stuff that I’m not hitting just yet that’s for sure!
Great spot those trails look awesome! Way to try some of those jumps, I'm really excited for the day that the other ones don't intimidate you! Great job Brian keep up the great work!
That' trail looked so much fun to ride Brian. Once in a while you can find a route that really hits the spot and flows like a big flowing thing, that appeared to be one of them 👍😀
Awesome trail Bri , dude you hit that jump sweet man , nice 👍🏽 that’s kinda my limit too man , thanks for sharing it’s sweet therapy seeing you hit the trails and great motivation for People like us Appreciate it bro 👍🏽👍🏽🌲🌵🌳
I really wish we had sun here so I could ride, but we have 4" snow and it's freezing outside, can't wait for the summer More green trails like this man, and keep the good work
Man such sick fast and flowy trails! Just awesome! Good stuff Brian! 2:40 So someone leaves a stash of water and tools for anybody? Wow, my faith in humanity is restored :D
Wow! Dude, all this riding is dialing in your skills. I have the advantage of having a strong BMX background. I love seeing others progress and catch air. You have good control, you can totally rock those larger launches!
I really enjoyed this video Brian. If anyone has ridden any of the places you've shown on camera, they know that you can ride because they can compare their riding to how you ride and the terrain you ride all over. Don't be bummed about not hitting the jumps. This is stuff you already know, but much like the bunny hop, in order to get better you have to session them over and over. Start small and work your way up. This would be a great series for you and would relate to a lot of your subscribers. I know your time is limited when you film a ride and a lot goes into it, but maybe session a little more while you're out there and show it on your channel. If all else fails, get you a good full face, a roost deflector/chest guard, thick DH knee and elbow pads and shin guards, to where you feel like you are well protected and then start sessioning some jumps. You're good at drops and descending so you'll pick up jumping in no time once you have the confidence (it's all about confidence and a little technique which you already have), over padding until you're more comfortable might help. It certainly helped me. Keep shredding.
I like your riding style. Riding to your level show riders they can ride most trails. Its easy to get intimidated by more aggressive riders. Although I feel your riding skills are more then capable to do some of the jumps and drop offs. Ride On BKXC.

It's all truly home grown! Locals have worked with Merced Irrigation District to make this become a reality!!! We love it!
Omg I live about 30 mins from here and I had no idea this place existed! Thank you for sharing this!
That's awesome!
Dropping off ladder drops? What's up with you? Lol! Great job. It brought a smile to my face to see you go back and session that Gnarnia rock. I like seeing you take the time to go back and conquer something. Fantastic efforts and nice video.

These trails look amazing!
They're doing it right up here!
And this is why I like you. You've got nothing to prove, you're just out having fun! ...and THAT's, what it s alllllllll about. Kudos for it all, Brian. Good stuff.

There you go. Dropping the reality hammer...
Thanks dude!
Fun riding and thanks to all the volunteers across the country that make and maintain the trails for us to ride, you guys make it all happen.
Yes they do!
So stoked you came to Exchequer! I hadn't biked for years then one day on a whim I decided to go check it out, and have been hooked ever since. Major props to the Exchequer Riders Club for their dedication to the community in building, maintaining, and growing the park for everyone to enjoy. And by 'spiritual' you mean heat stroke induced hallucinations. =)
Wow, that's great to hear!
That's such a good point!!
What a great bike park and community! I seriously envy all bikers in US for this type of places!
It's a special place!
Everything looked so natural for a bike park, great flowy trails and some nice jumps, good job on the jumps, you really don't have to hit every jump, sometimes you roll or avoid to set yourself up for the next, another enjoyable ride :)
All hand dug! Pretty amazing riding
That first trail after the big climb was freakn magnificent!
You'd love it!
Such a good one!
I really appreciate seeing you ride at your level, not doing options you don't feel like doing. It makes me feel better about my riding. Thank you.
Thanks David, we all start somewhere!
Brian I love that you still leave in you skipping jumps or redoing missed features. Never stop being real man it is awesome. Great video too
Thanks man, glad to hear that!
Man that looks so good. Wishing I had some trails like that near to home to get out on. The jumps and drops are a mental blocker for me. Need to find some small ones to practice on before trying some of those big ones.
Nice video, good to see a "normal guy" out having a great time on his bike in the nature. That place looks like awesome fun. Good job!
Thanks Ben!!
Need to make some shirts that say "ride around crew" haha
Haha yes!
I can't wait for the snow to melt and the spring sun to shine on the trails ... Almost there : )

Exactly!

Yeah man, a good solid spot!
Thanks for sharing I didn't know anything about that place...adding it to the list.
Love hearing that!
You always do a great job recognizing the effort it takes to build a trail. How about a video showing a hand cut trail build in progress.
I will eventually figure out how to make a video about that interesting! I've tried but it never really comes together.
Awesomeness dude 👍 thanks again for another sweet ride. Keep em coming 😀
Thanks so much!
One of the most fun looking places I've seen on your channel

Looks like a super fun riding spot. Beautiful area.
Some fast flo, and some steep tech stuff.
The total package
Man your skills are so much better nowadays, you could be BKAM for all mountain. Nice work bud!
Thanks Michael!!
Don't worry about not jumping every jump. I'd love to be able to jump like you. Great Video, keep it up!
Thanks!
Nice trails. I’m in the woods so much, I like the open fields. Picturesque
Thanks man!
BKXC I really enjoyed the Mont Blanc series as well for that reason. Such a beautiful landscape and change of scenery
Man such sick fast and flowy trails! Just awesome! Good stuff Brian! 2:40 So someone leaves a stash of water and tools for anybody? Wow, my faith in humanity is restored :D
Yeah, it's a community effort!
Reminds me of some trails in Alberta, love it Brian, great video.
Very cool!
Wow! Dude, all this riding is dialing in your skills. I have the advantage of having a strong BMX background. I love seeing others progress and catch air. You have good control, you can totally rock those larger launches!
Thanks Shad! I'm getting there!

Nice to see ya clean that rock.
I like your riding style. Riding to your level show riders they can ride most trails. Its easy to get intimidated by more aggressive riders. Although I feel your riding skills are more then capable to do some of the jumps and drop offs. Ride On BKXC.
Thanks Alex!!
More pumping and popping will get you comfortable with grip levels and suspension feel. Keep up the great work.
Thanks dude
Hitting more and more jumps. You're getting there.
One step at a time!!
What a beautiful place!
