- We are midway into 2024 and we have previews of the flagship OSes from Microsoft and Apple, that being Windows 11 2024 Update and macOS Sequoia 15! This video will show UI comparisons between these two preview versions!

The comparison between Outlook and Mail/Calendar is the most ridiculous one. Truly shows how those apps on Windows have plummeted down in terms of quality so much in the latest version.
I'm honestly not sure how whatever they are doing now is more successful than the previous version.
I get that it might make them more money or that the codebase is now reduced to just one on the web, but customer satisfaction surely plumets.
Windows 11‘s overall UI looks better to me, but it has a huge inconsistency problem, which makes the system a failure compared to MacOS
It's funny how you judge it as a failure because of UI only. 😂
Im really impressed the consistency of Apple Design.
I have both Mac Mini and Windows Desktop. MacOS and Windows 11 just feels very similar (if not the same) to each other nowadays, the only difference is their looks but again their looks are already so similar to each other too so IDK. There's no point in comparing them in 2024 unlike before between MacOS Snow Leopard and Windows Vista there were MASSIVE differences! Unless Microsoft or Apple does a OS overhaul but I don't see them doing it anymore. Both are so interested in AI that desktop OS is no longer their top priority.

They oddly have similarities to each other, mostly because the desktop interface looks so mobilish.
Animated Mac OS Login Screen? Microsoft should make something similar.
There must be a program for that.
And animated wallpapers aren't a novelty.
Both OS finally decided to go back to transparency and blur. Finally some aesthetics. I hope they will be updated soon with glass effects and a more aesthetic interface similar to Aero Glass.
decided? macOS had it for a long time now. Windows 11 literally copied the transparency and blue of macOS.

It’s really apparent how much bloat and crap Edge throws at you compared to Safari tbh, although I do like it after you turn all the crap off
it’s actually somehow one of THE most resource efficient chromium browsers despite the bloatware
@@firestormjupiterAre you talking about Safari or Edge? Because Safari is WebKit based, while Edge is Chromium. IMO, Edge is more bloated than Safari.
@@JesseJones-nv3vd I'm talking about edge. It did feel quite bloated with all the extra features and built-in tools when I first used it, but its performance to memory footprint ratio is somehow better than most other chromium browsers like chrome and opera
@@firestormjupiterIt seems better, I will agree…maybe it’s because of IE Mode having EdgeHTML (used to be MSHTML)? I don’t really like the Sidebar or the spyware though.
Opera is actually a decent browser, but Brave is much more better. I went on EFF’s Cover Your Tracks, and it said that DuckDuckGo, Safari and Brave were the most secure browsers (besides Tor of course). Edge, Chrome, and EVEN Firefox were not that secure.
@@firestormjupiterI guess that Edge uses less resources on the Task Manager. Chrome also has that as well, that is one great thing about Chromium based browsers. I ran Firefox (based on Quantum and Gecko) on Windows, looked at the Task Manager, and saw that Firefox uses more resources.

Never knew the Calculator app for Mac has been updated to reflect the design that WAS made for iOS 11😭 Sonoma still has the design from iOS 10

macOS just looks better in my opinion. Windows is a mixture of old stuff and new that’s inconsistent. Outlook still looks like it’s stuck in the Metro era, and the Calculator is updated in the Mica era.

If I correctly remembered, MacOS since Monterey, control panel and regular settings were merged
While Windows stay separate (was expected to be merged, but it may vary)
windows is basically trying to port features from the old “control panel” to the new settings app but progress is sluggish

Have both, mac sucks, much worse UX than Windows and Ubutntu(did not try other distributions, but the result should be the same). While Apple wins laptop non-gaming battle, on desktop side it can't compete with windows.

@@JaseelaBeevi-w8iIt is subjective but Windows was my favorite OS too until Microsoft made everything basically into an advertisement for your PC, with macOS you have peace of mind without being bombed by Copilot the next time you boot your computer.

@@ArianaGranade Yep! Did you notice in the video how the prodding and advertising began at the lock screen in Windows 11, even before getting to the desktop? This is one of the reasons I dropped Windows after Windows 10 was released.
These wallpapers, both with Windows and MacOS, are getting cooler and cooler with every new release.

@@will.gallegos well, I think MacOS has a cleaner user interface. Windows have worst power consumption. However Windows 11 I my main OS for now but I also use the latest MacOS often.
Because sequoia is newer and released in 2024

I've got both Windows and macOS systems, and while I use macOS primarily for work (coding and music production), I rely on Windows for gaming and streaming. There's a stark contrast between the two when it comes to updates and stability.
Windows forces updates, which can be super disruptive, especially when they cause issues or bootloops. Plus, there's all the bloatware and telemetry that makes you feel like you don’t have full control over your own device. On the other hand, macOS lets you choose when to update, which helps avoid the chaos of surprise updates and gives a much smoother experience overall.
For me, macOS wins hands down for work-related tasks because it’s stable and respects my choices. Windows is great for gaming, but the forced updates are a huge downside. Anyone else feel the same way?

macOS Sequoia came in to beta so he has to capitalize on the topic because its so hyped up right now.
As long as they keep the Windows button centered without option to place it to the left by the user, i'll pass.......... Windows 10 are already great and work quite well, why get myself in trouble with stupidities that teens in microsoft make now? The ideal for me would be an OS with the visual of XP or 7 and the behavior and pros of WIndows 10, along with useful and lost option back from Win 95 even.

for what? laggy and inconsistency through apps. honestly ive been on windows 11 since around the leaked image build, and 2 years later it was so frustrating using it that i had to hackintosh even.
