Michael Tang did a video that demonstrates all sorts of styles and the ball looked good with most of them. Even dumping the ball at 13-14 mph with 225 rev rate and a wrist brace.
I think this will be a good ball. Looks like it has a really nice shape. That said, here comes Storm again with "the greatest ball ever" and "house shot killer" hype. Every ball they release is the next greatest thing EVER. It's getting a little tiresome, yet here i am....still watching these vids 😂
@ i think the rev and speed are from his regular recorded revs and speed and not from each throw, its virtually impossible to throw the exact same revs and speed every single shot
@OniSiM- Exactly this! Even the best bowlers don't 100% replicate every single shot. They do get close though. I remember on one telecast they showed Belmonte's stats for every throw as far as speed, rev rate, and break point and it was scary how accurate he was. Proves it takes more than rev rate to be successful on the tour. Gotta be consistent.
I'm not surprised your pin down is more angular, if there is enough friction down lane it will be more angular because its response to friction is slower so maintains more energy throughout the front part of the lane, as the Pin up response is faster so it is trying to respond to the lane earlier. Pin down layouts I think confuse people because they don't realize what down lane friction can do to them. Awesome video as always! :)
its the oil absorbed into the wood/synthetics, the ball hitting the lane makes it warp slightly causing light bounces to warp greatly, it feels smooth to the touch though and wont effect how the ball moves, at least noticably. similair to how when people try to get bumps and dents out of a car, you cant feel it but you can see it if you shine a light at it.
I’m a lefty two hander. I bowl maybe like 3 times a year but I just got a used ball drilled for a lefty for $15! Been loving watching your league videos especially when you’re throwing with 2 hands. Keep up the good work!
Darren go back and look at your video. You started out by saying that you have the Pin Down 5x5x4.75 in your hand but the layout that was shown was your Pin Up 5x5x2.5 and then when you put the Pin Up ball in your hand they showed the Pin Down layout. But I love the Ball and what the core and cover stock does together, especially on house shots.
If it’s a high performance ball and the pin is on left side of your grip, it might be drilled for a left hander. If it’s a plastic ball or one with no weight block, then the pin location doesn’t matter.
I can’t do pearls man. I struggle so much with pearls. 450 ish rev rate plus 18mph. If I miss in it just skates, if I miss out alot of them wanna go face . I stick to my solids. I have one hybrid that I use when the lanes are torched. Good ole scorpion low flare.
I think this ball will get in quite a bit of tournament play. Did anyone else notice from the foul line to the arrows looks like the boards are uphill and falls back downhill after arrows... I know it probably isnt but it sure does look like it. Even looks like the ball goes up and back down.. HAHA!
I would like to see the foot measurement for your break point, i.e. how far down the lane your ball is when it hits its break point. Thanks for the videos!

OMG another killer ball. This sport is out of control. Need softer kickbacks and heavier pins to get some intergrity back into the game. Oh, don't forget that those two handers heaving the ball down the lane, well, there scores do not count!

Ball looks great. But am I the only one who's eyes were playing tricks on them? The optical illusion made the lane look like it went up towards the arrows, down hill just until the pins and then back up...that was messing with my eyes on every lane level video shot.
