The Pro version has more leather around front and sides of the boot, plus it has an attached knit material tongue that creates a sock like fit and a synthetic padded material around the heel and ankle area.
The academy version has leather around the front half of the boot and has a free hanging tongue made of a synthetic material. The material around the ankle and heel area is a spongy cloth like material. The back of both boots and the soul plate is the same. Both the Pro and academy FG cleats seem less wide than the Legend 9 turf version of the boot and therefore might need some time to break in and stretch parts of the leather.

Exact review that I was looking for. 2023 Black Friday sale has Academy at $34 and pro at $55. Wonder i should get pro for $20 difference for my son. 🤔
lol you didn't address one of the main differences that can't be overlooked. Look at the heel in the insole. The wall is made of a completely different material on the Pro version. The is much softer and more comfortable and protects against heel injuries and blisters.
True. I missed that. The academy actually has the more comfortable heel area though. The cheaper sponge material in the academy is actually more comfortable than the straight leather in the heel of the Pro

Im not sure. I have not seen any fake ones to compare.

Depends on how much you want to spend. The Tiempo Legend 9 Academy is $75 and the Tiempo Legend 9 pro is $130. Since the quality and fit is similar, I think it makes more sense to get the Tiempo Legend 9 academy because of the lower price. I would recommend that you try on both versions if there is a local sports store near you that has Nike soccer shoes. If there is no significant difference in feel and fit then go with the less expensive Academy version.
@@soccersprint for me its a easy pick. The tonque of the pro is better and the heel in the insole is made of much better confortable material which protects against heel injuries and blisters.
@@2slow2survive I got blisters on my heel with the pro. There were no blisters with the academy. The academy has a soft spongy material in the heel area. The pro has a rigid stiff leather material in the heel that bruised my skin while playing
@@soccersprint You're mixing up the shoes. The soft spongy material is exactly what the pro has. I had both the academy and the pro in my hands and I went for the pro because it has the soft spongy material while the academy is hard and stiff. You can see many good reviews on youtube who shows you that. Either you are confusing the names or you have been fooled by a salesman and you paid for pro but only got academy (pro is the more expensive one).
@@2slow2survive No my friend, the Legend 9 academy has the soft sponge in the heel. The Legend 9 Pro is full leather with no padding. Nike just needs to make an improvement of their pro version and put some pads in the heel ( I think they made the heel cushion improvement in the Tiempo Legend 10 Pro). I have both the academy and pro as you can see. I understand why you are confused. Its because the cheaper academy is actually more comfortable for the player in games. The pro is more expensive because it has more leather and the built in sock like tongue. ( Remember the review here is Legend 9 not the new Legend 10).
are the pros good on AG?
Its ok on AG, but I prefer to use the Tiempo Legend 9 TF ( Turf) for playing on Artificial groung or turf surfaces.
