PENANG - Tropical Spice Garden - A Short Drive from George Town - Well Worth a Visit!

- We are at the Penang Tropical Spice Garden on Penang Island in Malaysia. In this Penang Travel video we take you on a Tour of the Spice Garden and show you why it is one of Penang Island´s Top Attractions! According to the Tropical Spice Gardens own website, the Tropical Spice Garden is "The Best Spice and Flower Garden In Penang, Malaysia". The Tropical Spice Garden also describes itself as "Asia´s Hidden Eden" an Award Winning Garden set out over 8 Acres of secondary jungle.
The Tropical Spice Garden lets you get close up to over 500 species of flora and fauna and lets you see, hear, taste, smell and discover this amazing Penang Spice Garden. For those of you who are looking for Instagram Photographing Locations this is a must! Don´t miss the BIG TREE SWING which Maro and I (Maxi) tried in the garden. We really enjoyed the hours we spent in the Tropical Spice Garden and will definitely return for another visit next time we visit Penang Island in Malaysia.
Whether you are staying in George Town Penang or closer to the Spice Garden, you will find it easy to get to Penang´s Tropical Spice Garden. We were staying at Batu Ferringhi Beach from where we took a taxi ride which lasted around 10-15 minutes for a reasonable taxi fare.
There are three types of tickets for this worthwhile Penang Attraction. You can choose the Audio Tour of the Tropical Spice Garden, the Guided Tour of the Tropical Spice Garden or a Night Walk through the Tropical Spice Garden. All prices can be views on the Tropical Spice Garden Penang website.

The Tropical Spice Garden was amazing, we had dreamed of walking again there this Easter but our Return to Penang was cancelled on account of "the virus". Very interesting place.
We spent a few days in Penang.
Lots of things to see and do.

My wife and I went about 10 yrs ago, my pale blue shirt was dark blue when we reached the top, we nad a beer and sat overlooking the sea, stayed at the same hotel as well fantastic vid keep safe
It is a lovely place and so is the hotel! HaHa, we know all about how a T-Shirt is darker during these walks! Like yourself we enjoyed being there so much that we were actually planning on returning, infact we were supposed to have landed in Penang yesterday (Saturday) for a 9 day stay, the current world crisis put a stop to that! We hope that a solution is found as quickly as possible! have a good Sunday!

Great video and we also love the gardens and nature . Interesting you mention steria plant if I’ve spelt that right as I buy products with this in as a suguar replacement as I have type 2 diabetes but I’m in good health . Can’t wait to visit there 👍 enjoy rest of Sunday
These tropical gardens are wonderful and particularly appreciated as we do not have much like this in Northern Europe (probably nothing similar).Yes, the Stevia is used as a sugar replacement, we know it (or should I say, Maro knows it) as we use it for our Low Carb diet. Always good hearing from you again Daveo, hope things are "ok" down there considering the circumstances!! The gardens are lovely and we both love this type of activity when in Asia as you can see on some of the other videos. Maro never did find the Dry Spices she needed to take home. Everywhere we went looking for Dried Curry Leaves people looked at her like she was crazy, they had fresh curry leaves... why would anybody want dry leaves when we have fresh ones HeHe! The more I see of your Penang videos, the more I want to go. It offers you the sea, but also a lush nature experience, what more could one ask for?
The drone footage was great, you should do more, as much as you are able to/allowed to, it always gives a different perspective on a place or trip.
I lol'd at Maro with the magnets. It's what we like to buy when we go to places, we prefer it to mugs, stickers or similar stuff. If nothing else, we would buy at least a magnet! We still have quite a bit of space on our fridge 🤣
Please to hear that you enjoyed the vid! Penang is really a lovely place. Just a heads up in case you are not aware. Swimming in the sea is not recommended in Penang because of Jelly Fish (there are warning signs on the beach and the hotels and locals also warn). We LOVE the sea but it was not a problem because the warm Adults Only pool at the Shangri-La Hotel was FANTASTIC!! We would love to fly the done more but there are not many places where you can do it legally. Most of the footage one sees from other Vloggers on the net are often filmed in places where Drones cannot be filmed, but we expect that they have received special permission to fly... ;-) We would love to put the drone up more and will be contacting the authorities in countries we visit in the future (Maxi just got a commercial Drone License for Denmark). We prefer taking one place at a time, the reason is that we are there longer and therefore have time to "take it in" and can see the sites at our own pace rather than a busy schedule (that is not holiday).
