- Progressive Rock band, YYNOT, featuring Patty PerShayla on vocals, for a packed house at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California on January 14, 2022 playing "The Spirit of Radio" by Rush followed by YYNOT's own "Burning Bridge" from their latest album, Light And Shade.
When Patty took over the keyboards at the end of Sprit, that was it for me!!! Best. Cover. Ever!!
It's about time a Rush cover band had no weak links. There's always one but in this band there's none. Bravo

big ups to YYNot for not just excellent Rush reproduction, but also for solid original works.
but frankly, "Rush Tribute Project" is as good or better in terms of mimicry, and they have the more accurate male vocal rendetion.
@@mitchdaks6363 I've seen them. Their male vocalist is less than stellar.

Me Too!! I saw an earlier video featuring her and hadn't realized that they changed lead singers. And I was wondering, where have I seen her before?? And then it hit me and I had to look it up to verify!😎🤘

Was at this show and it rocked! Patty's first show (I believe) and there was a palpable sense of anticipation in the audience to see how she would perform. It only took a few bars of the first song and the audience knew she was the real deal! Entire band was incredible!
Just watched this, as a long time drummer myself and a huge Peart fan, I have to say these guys nailed it. Bloody superb.

and geds never been able to pull off that piano rake at the end -
not even when he moved the mic with his nose he still couldn't hit it and play bass,...and achieve that oh so important rake.

love what I am hearing in the vocals like a young Patricia Benatar up there in the spotlight so much future potential ...keep working hard it will pay off.

Burning Bridge sounds right at home on Vapor Trails. I know I'm not the only one that wants more YYNOT tunes and fewer RUSH tunes.

The YT-Algo just introduced me to this band about a week ago. I'm qualified to comment on a number of criteria. They're having fun rockin' happenin' places! The sum of the parts is greater than the whole - and though it's obvious the nice singer has Geddy down, she/the band adds their own flavor to the mix. I want to admit that when they started the 2nd tune I was thinking "Hmmm....I'm not remembering this..." and then "B-what! An original!?" I loved its' harmonic originality. More, please!

Patty has a very strong presence live, with a rawer Edge in her voice, and is a multi instrumentalist that can fill any part...as those Keys in Spirit...good acquisition.

Dude! Thanks recording and posting this for us! Incredible playing. Really hoping this singer "sticks" and that the band gels together enough to keep her interest. And I hope she keeps doing her own thing with Mayhaps, because I want to hear BOTH. Selfish, I know... but a guy can dream.

Patty is playing a solo gig in Germany on June 20 at the cowhide house concerts near Frankfurt. You should go.
Couple of random thoughts.
1. Rocky left some pretty big shoes to fill...and it feels like Patty is more than up to the task.
2. That smile! Definitely looks like she's enjoying herself and having a good time up there.
3. If/when they make a stop in the Upper Midwest, I'm definitely up to see a good show.

Never heard of this band before but had to take a look when I saw Spirit being covered. Not an easy thing to do, covering Rush. Masterful job. I got goosebumps! And dig the original.
If they are ever in Colo, the should play a little club in Greeley called the Moxi Theatre. Great venue for great bands like this one!
This band and The Rush Tribute Project of Milwaukee are doing great work keeping RUSH music alive. All great musicians.

I was (and still am) a huge Rocky fan, but I appreciate Patty's talents as well. I thought Rocky was really hitting her stride - her vocals on Resonance was superior to the first album, but looks like she wanted to try other things. Patty definitely has more of the "rock and roll" vibe and seems to fit in well. Hope the foursome can stick it out. I'd love to see them perform someday in the near future!

Patty sounds great. But what happened to Rocky?? She’s what turned me on to this band originally. Her ‘studio’ version of something for nothing is hands down the best cover of that song ever.
Rocky and the band amicably split. That is all the band released on the subject. That is all I think we need to know too. We could speculate all day long but end up at the beginning in the end.
WOW, I just found this. I am usually anti-female covering of male vocals but this is amazing. After all, I always thought Lee sounded like a woman as it was so this totally works. This is from someone who never bought a Rush CD, never went to their concert or played any of their songs in a band myself but totally respected the band. My favorite Rush song by the way is Xanadu. The only problem I had with this is her vocals aren't up far enough in the mix. Maybe its better live? In the other video that they have with comments turned off its much clearer and you can hear her tone better. Would love to hear them do Fly By Night and 2112.
