May the 4th be with you! Happy Star Wars Day everybody!
I started this video back in January. It was actually the first The Clone Wars video I ever started! I actually can't believe that I finally got to finish it! I know there are a bunch of Star Wars videos with this song but it felt just really fitting as a tribute to the whole series. I am actually really happy that I did most of it before season 7 and especially before the last arc because of all the sadness I feel right now. Like I would not have been able to make this video today!
So on that note: how are we all feeling about the last episode? I personally was expecting to be in pain and therefore was able to handle it pretty well. To my own surprise, I did not cry but after the credits, I just stared at my bedroom wall for some time trying to process everything...
I absolutely loved the last shot. It was just perfect. There was no hope, no happiness and that felt right. I am also so happy that we saw Vader in The Clone Wars and that we did not see Anakin again after he had his "goodbye" with Ahsoka. It just really fitting to have Anakin's last moment to be his little smile at Ahsoka...
I am sure I will talk more about the finale under future videos but today was really rough for me and I just want to share this with you and then go to bed. There are a few things I want to talk about but for now, that is all I have. Please leave me your thoughts about this season in the comments! I would love to read them!!

There is no victory and defeat in war. its only either a battle won and a battle lost. They say War is when 2 or more great powers fight and become the greater power. In the line between Life and Death, there is War. War is whats keeps life and death joined together, there is no life without death, and there is no death without life. War is a continues change, slow, of rapid.
War is never ending, constant, its different from everything and every being.

The Clone Wars: accurately depicts warfare, loss, and morals without being a melodrama and being epic to watch.
The Clone Wars is like Avatar: The Last Airbender. It is a show that kids can watch and enjoy, but it's definitively not a kid's show
also...kids have an intellect to ,if it never is stimulated it never will develop..i loath how many producers of 'kid' stuff that appears to think it must be toothless mush to suit kids..as if a kid stays kinder garden mentality right up to its teens and magicly develops adult concepts or individuality at a moments notice at that point.
good 'kid' movies respects kids intelligence...and sneaks in enough hidden humor for potential parents watching with them to be entertained.

Anakin as "Messiah" hits different.
Its what the Jedi prophecy believed him to be. The one who would Destroy the Sith, and bring Balance to the force. The Chosen One. The greatest tragedy of his story is that his destiny was corrupted, stolen from him by one of the few people he truly trusted.
Anakin Skywalker, the fallen Messiah.
@@smugreptile6695You almost got it but miss it. what you and the Jedi both misses was the force is neither good nor evil. the force is nature she is both given like fruit trees but punishing with poison plants and animals. the version of the force the Jedi believe was like an early natural park completely sanitize of things the were considered undesirable like wolves, but wolves are a part of nature and without them, the park lost its true natural beauty and it was dying. in the same manner, the Jedi rejection of the dark side meant there were thousands of light side users, but only a handful of dar side users. so Anakin the chose one brought balance to the force by eliminating thousands of Jedi and making both sides more or less equal numbers. just to reinforce my example here is how the reintroduction of wolves saved the Yellowstone dying ecosystem. ruclips.net/video/oSBL7Gk_9QU/видео.html

The chosen one brought balance to the force by cutting the number of light side users.it wasn`t "his destiny was corrupted" it was he fulfill his destiny. the rest of my comment was on how Jedi could have evaded such fate if they didn`t reject 100% of the dark side.

Which literally means you said Im picking one side as good and the other evil. Subtext is a thing you know.
And on the matter of Anakin's destiny, it WAS corrupted. He was to "Bring balance to the Force" AND "Destroy the Sith". You can't ignore half a prophecy and call others wrong when you arent even talking about the same parts. Which one of those did he not do for literal Years because he was corrupted by Palpatine to join the sith? Which one of those took his Son to turn him back to the light and complete his destiny after it had been stolen from him for actual decades?
You keep talking about the Force here, and its not what im talking about at all. Im not talking about how the jedi could have survived or what side of the force is what. Im talking about Anakin's prophecy and what we were told it was. You are fixated on the Balance act and saying that isnt the corruption of his destiny, and you are right. But you are ignoring the other half that was taken from him and saying that isn't corruption when it is. "Destroy the Sith" doesn't mean destroy the dark side. Sith and the Dark side of the force aren't the same thing. The Sith use the dark side for evil, that doesnt make the dark side itself evil.
Read my first comment again and tell me when I started talking about the dark side being evil or how the Jedi rejected it.
You can't, because I didn't. The only thing mentioned was how he was supposed to "Destroy the Sith and bring Balance to the Force". He achieved one of those things and was corrupted before he could finish the other. Hence why I used the words "Corrupted" and "Stolen". Make sense now?

Well after ww2 things changed. Even tho you didn't join nato the whole military lived for one purpose, build up defences against soviet union. And the work that was done is quite honestly amazing. Viggen is a beautiful fighter jet.

@Tyler Hendrix No, the Swedes did not lose per se, what happened was: the Powers involved signed a treaty, but the Swedes under Königsmarck assailed Prague in the hope of making a quick buck before news of the treaty spread, and were able to take half the city-the trouble started when they failed to take Charles' Bridge. Then the news of the treaty reached Prague, and they went home. That being said, I probably did a poor job explaining-so I will refer you to the Sabaton History channel (the band Sabaton not only made a song about the battle in question, but also the entire album was about the Rise and Fall of the Swedish Empire.)

Satine and Fives should have been switched for victim and martyr. Satine died for her cause, for peace, for refusing to join the war. Fives, like the rest of the clones, was a victim of the war, a pawn in a greater scheme that he died uncovering. Still, a breathtaking video
Tabby Gibbs but in the End Satine died being a victim in Mauls Revenge Plans and Fives died trying to reveal the truth about Palpatine and the War, so I think Satine as victim and Fives as martyr makes more sense give that
I think it can be interpreted both way, both of them sacrificed themselves, and both of them were the victims of someone more powerfull than them.
I disagree. A martyr dies for a cause. Satine's death was not in service of any cause, just maul's revenge. Whereas fives died trying to reveal the truth about the clones.
Doesn’t matter, that was a hell of a punch with two of the saddest parts of the whole series
Fives death was the reason why Rex was able to tell Ahsoka how to save him. The greatest clone was saved thanks to fives.

Yes. I have never cried for a tv show before, but that ending did it for me.
People are speculating that Vader knew she was alive when he saw the bird in the air which became her spirit animal after she died and anakin brought her back so he knew she didn’t die but didn’t want to chase after her because she has done nothing wrong to him

I thought I was prepared for this but apparently not. Cried like a baby for hours, final really broke me. That final arc finally seals it that The Clone Wars is the best Star Wars and no one can change my mind! I can't thank enough everyone who involved in this show. I'm really sad that it ended but I know all the good memories will stay with us... This is a great tribute for this amazing show thank you. Farewell Clones... and farewell General Skywalker...
Amen to that. The first ever Star Wars I watched was Clone Wars the movie, after that I watched the show and was hooked. I love Star Wars so much, but I wouldn't love it as much as I do right now if it weren't for Clone Wars

the clones up until that point where free thinking independent men who made their own choices.
Sidious took away their free will making their story all the more tragic.

66 - Palpatine's ideal for the clones. Obedient servants forced to put the sacrifice on others for his benefit.
99 - the clones ideals for themselves. Free thinkers, real people, willing to take the sacrifice on themselves while saving as many as possible.

With the Clones only being true loyal to the republic, rather than their Commanding Officers and executing them, cause they were trained as the perfect soldiers.
The Chips give the clones "Betrayal" no weight, cause they act like droids and not like humans.
I feel so bad for the people who haven’t watched the clone wars, so many amazing memories as a kid, and even now, this show will always live on in the hearts of those who truly watched and cherished and understood the significance of this show.

Clone Wars was truly the best of Star Wars and probably the best animated series I have seen. The feels get me every time in every episode. They really know how to hit you with it...... Then you turn and hit me with all of it in 4 minutes. I think that qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment.

To the left"
It's presented as an army march and works very well to bring that sense of duty. However it has a double meaning. It continues the warning to people (to the leader, the pariah): it reminds the listener that who is technically right is not always who is left at the end. They are listed separately: to the right, to the left.
At 0:48 Yoda appears with the words "the right." He was right about Anakin. Anakin coincides with "the left." While technically Darth Vader "kills" him, Anakin does survive, as evidenced by Return of the Jedi.
At 1:00 Ahsoka appears fighting Greivous at "the right." For someone who seemed really kind of snarky when she was introduced, Ahsoka ends up being the one to walk away from what she recognized as a flawed Order. Obi-Wan shows up at the words "the left." Again, he survived. He went through some really physically and emotionally tough stuff, even nearly killing his old Padawan in Revenge of the Sith, but he survived all of it down to being one of the few Jedi who survived Order 66.
At 1:59, Luminara Unduli appears. She was correct in her assessment that she was prepared to let her Padawan go, while Anakin was not. While that ends up being a good thing in Anakin's case, her deduction that Anakin & Ahsoka's relationship was even more trusting than a typical Master/Padawan relationship was still true. Coinciding with "the left" once again is Anakin. He ends up outliving her for the most twisted of reasons.
At 2:12 Ahsoka appears once again. Besides being right to leave the Order, she is also a very morally centered character. While other Jedi let the Council decide what is right and wrong, Anakin has taught her how to decide for herself what is right, and for the most part it steers her to stand up for her moral code even when she is antagonized for it (like in season 7 with Rafa). Plo Koon appears at "the left." Now, I've been talking several times about how most of the Jedi died in Order 66. However it still stands that Plo Koon and much of the Jedi Order survived the war. They thought they were the left. They won. Only to be tragically assassinated immediately.
At 3:35 Maul coincides with "the right." He was right about Anakin. Then Rex coincides with "the left." All the troops Rex led in the Seige of Mandalore- half of the 501st- died, but he survived. Gotta have some serious survivor syndrome there.
At 3:48 Ahsoka is again listed as the right, while Anakin is listed at the left. Both have already each been labelled with these lines, but it helps summarize that throughout the whole series, Ahsoka learns that she had to do what is right, while Anakin doesn't so much win the war as he is what is "left" after the war. Okay, okay, Darth Vader is. But hear me out, he was Darth Sidious's goal with the war and that goal was achieved.
Anakin & Ahsoka are also arguably the main characters of the series, so it's a nice nod to them and their contrast at the end of the song. They are fairly similar, but what is different is that she ends up sticking to her morals while he ends up bending his until they break. She's what's right, he's what's left.
Some might find it to be a long shot, but to me it's so cool. Sorry for the lengthy comment 😬.

Did you know the original plan wasn’t even going to have ahsoka as anakins Padawan in fact it would have nothing to do with 5hat so they figured more people would watch it If anakin and obi-wan were in it and familiar faces to the people

i think at 2:12 it might be referring to wolffe, who survives the war and rex later removes his chip. he goes on to fight at lothal during the imperial era

The Clone Wars is one of the rare shows that get better each season and this is one of the best fan made music videos out there both in general and for The Clone Wars
I love all of the titles you applied to certain characters and scenes. One of my favorites was the moment of truth for when Ahsoka left the Jedi.
Clone Wars was an incredible show and those last 4 episodes were a great send off. Some of the best animation, music, and duels I’ve seen in the entire Star Wars franchise. Thanks for this awesome video!
YES! I have watched these episodes so many times already and every time I see new details and every single time I am just amazed by the quality! Lucasfilm really did a great job! I hope that they will make another SW Series with the same level of quality in both story telling and animation!

THE CLONE WARS is not a series for children, it is a series that tells how a hero can become the bad guy due to the consequences of war, also how in wars there are never really good or bad, only victims, and how the war changes each person no matter if they are good or bad, if they are from the republic or from the separatists the clone wars changed an entire galaxy into long times of darkness.
Man oh man, I'm watching this over a year after the Clone Wars has finally ended, and now I'm watching the Bad Batch. This edit just really reminds me how far we've come.
I LOVE the character montage. Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ventress they all looked so cool! I can see how much effort you put into this. I applaud you. Thank you for making amazing clone wars content. I look forward to your next vid. 😊

You can see Anakin in the older episodes was unpredictable but was still faithful to the Jedi. Later on there was a great transition. Filoni did a brilliant job with this saga. Just a shame its finished

When Fives shows up as "Martyr" it brought back memories of his death and I started tearing up and anyone who says Fives death isn't sad u deserve the death sentence on 12 systems

Ahsoka EP5 got me back here crying like a baby.
Love this so much, one of my favorite videos EVER. Anakin as "messiah" hits me so hard. I could imagine Ahsoka as "pariah" though. The definition of pariah is outcast, and she was outcast from the Jedi order. This just shows you that war is hopeless, no one wins, there are martyrs made, heroes lost, evil vanquished, but in the end no one ever truly wins a war.
To be fair, barriss became a pariah because she fought for the truth. The republic fails fails because of the incompetence of the jedi.

All I get is goosebumps, chills, sadness, pain, and so much more emotion from this series. Those final 4 episodes broke me which I expected. It was so sad seeing Ahsoka realizing what was happening. Now once again she is alone on the run for her life. I can feel emotion towards Ahsoka life. She is my absolute favorite character every in Star Wars and anything else.
I feel like Maul should’ve been the pariah- but otherwise this *broke* me

I was 13 when the Clone Wars began. I was 25 when it ended. This show has grown with me and will always be one of the greatest memories of my childhood. I'm sad that it's ended but like all good things, they must end. Thank you for this tribute and thank you Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Well, if you 2002 ATOC as the start, and 2020 the end, I was 6 when it started, and 24 when it ended.
Finishing the series was a goal that kept me going, now i don't know what to do.

Ashoka earned so little during her padowan years, other than becoming close with Anniken while being taught the Jedi way. Her path was to leave the order was necessary but she never deserved what she got in time. After she was thrown out of the main movies, I though she needed more praise than she got. She was Anniken’s PADOWAN, being so that Anniken/Vader was a main character, she needs more of a story in the main series

God this is great, I still can't believe sometimes that a show that, for so long, was scoffed at by so much of the fan base is not only perhaps the greatest star wars medium, but also gave us arguably the most significant relationship in all of SW in the form of Anakin and Ahsoka
Honestly, the chose in clips to match up to different parts of the song were absolutely perfect, the titles for different parts like victor and messiah hit in a special way. Plus the shots during drum rolls where it showed end of series, beginning of series and shots throughout the series of each of the core characters were unexpected and very welcome. Just all in all an awesomely crafted video

Damn you for making me cry! I was doing well, still about to speak and kind of sing along. Then 99's sacrifice hit and suddenly i choke up.
On another note, i can't imagine the number of people passing this great show up because "it's a cartoon" or "it's for kids". It being a cartoon is just a neutral medium for everyone and it's designed so people of all ages can enjoy and be immersed in it.
