Its nice to appreciate artists, and he was an incredible poet, but I can't help but find it silly when I realize how we as a people tend to fall in love with these musicians because we connect their expression with our own. Everything and anything that is an expression of self is art. We are all artists. Let's fall in love with ourselves. silence is the loudest sound. The world feels empty some days until I listen. ty Shannon for givin us you. I feel selfish for wantin you back on this miserable earth
Can I hold your Hand? Try to understand that I may be giving everything I have, Is it the same? Nothing here has changed me or the course I'm plannin' on taking The way it looked before, Felt better from the window, And now it's under my toes and now you know I am, Remember how it looked before, And It felt better from the window, Now that it's fadin' away I feel it everyday. Yeah, Yeah, Little bit, little bit, little bit every day, yeah, Little bit every day, Yeah. Oh little bit, little bit little bit everyday, yeah.

thank you for giving us this song. 10 years ago i couldnt find this song anywhere and everyone was hoarding the rare stuff . You cant stop it now! Thanks again, although i didnt really need to cry today
@newrealization12 "Son you're gonna be just like me." (Hints line again). Then Shannon wrote this song, which is about his addiction to heroin, obviously("Now that it's fadin' away I feel it everyday.")
Steven Cavanaugh That’s bullshit. Shannon’s drug of choice wasn’t heroin. He may have used it but he like cocaine the best, and acid, weed. He went to REHAB to get clean then tripped on acid at Coachella and went back out on the road before he was ready. Get your facts straights!
As much as i like other bands, there's a way that shannon hoon/blind melon make me feel that nothing else does. I haven't felt this way in like 10 yrs.
@Leaves588 it upsets me on a daily basis cos i always listen to blind melon all day and everyday, and then realising the man i can hear singing, the guy im idolizing is actually buried underground. he's dead and he shouldnt be. he should be in his 40s still writing music running round stage with a beer belly but not giving a shit (:
@newrealization12 Melon played a show up in Vancouver, and Shannon took a s*** ton of acid before they played, and ended up peeing all over the crowd, and had to go into a heroin detox center in Vancouver. He met a girl there and they snuck out of the detox center and shot up heroin between their toes(Hints the line"Now its under my toes.") The two snuck back into the center and Shannon met an old man who had been addicted to heroin almost his entire life and the man said to Shannon,
@Leaves588 That may seem over dramatic but in a way I understand what he/she is saying. This song appeals to such a deep and real part of me. And its so crushing to think this amazing person with so much emotion is gone. Shannon put himself in his songs. He was so honest about what he felt. The music he left behind will always be around to hear but his fans are really missing out on what he could have made if he hadn't died. Some people actually feel his music saved their lives.
pete doherty does!! but dont get me wrong...15-20yrs ago i was obsessed wth hoon and melon and still in some ways, but pete doherty is the modern day singer/sonwriter lariat! if u dont believe me utube his solo shit and its poetic, raw, genuine, and passionate! Just like shannon hoon and brad nowel too. Wow...all 3 have something in common...i wonder where all that passion comes from? ...heroin!
Quay Steffan Shannon wasn’t a heroin addict. His drug of choice was cocaine. He heart a heart attack while when he overdosed on coke. Get your facts straight!

LOL [this is to 'iHateSmellyPeople']: Did i just read this right?> Do you seriously feel like a 'part of you is missing becuz no one will ever get to hear new experiences' yada-yada-yada??? haha. WHAT?? Dude dont be so god damn dramatic, please... My first response to reading that, was 'Wow, what a oddly intense person..' honestly made me uncomfortable. LOL. Take it easy buddy :)

I guess the message is that you should remember how it looked before, so you know why you did it, and pursue that vision if you aren't satisfied yet.
Eor Tina I wish you were here because in so alone and scared
"I feel it (a lil bit) everyday"
I feel it everyday....
the disparity of addiction makes for good art
@indianamelonhead223 I thought it was weeping like the willow playing in the background of that song.

Same thing- "Blind Melon as one" were their music credits.
True at the start. But later, Hoon wanted his own publishing.
This song is not from Blind Melon, is from Shannon.
