    Easy trick I learned from my physics teacher on when to use sine or cosine. It works every single time and you don't have to remember sohcahtoa or which side is the "x" or "y" values:
    Is the line that you want to find the value of touching the angle theta? Use cosine.
    Is the line that you want to find the value of NOT touching the angle theta? Use sine.
    Touching angle = cosine
    Not touching angle = sine

      What do you think vectors are ?
      They are a part of physics, physics can't work without vectors I mean what are you gonna do if you don't have vectors in physics. Vectors are the back bind of physics .

    wooow. I was lost about this subject. I mean, I know that the angle of the inclination is going to be equal to that in the center but I don't know why.. ive been seeing it in other videos but they just skip it and wont explain how they were able to conclude that. And, you did! thank you so much! its so much clearer now!

      This is how it's done in lectures. It's a proof of how this method essentially works for all simple inclined planes. They use the symbols rather than actual numbers because theoretically/mathematically, the values and numbers are going to cancel/ combine very nicely. And also not every problem is the same with an inclined plane, so this also shows how you go about to set up your knowns and unknowns

    Everyone says that. But with a teacher, it's not one-on-one, so it's easy to fade out, and not absorb the information. With a video, it can be repeated, and it has your unconditional undivided attention, so your physics teacher is probably a good teacher, it's just easier to learn via the internet...

    The problem with school lessons is that teachers tend to not realize when someone is having a hard time with something.
    The educational system works in a way that you must quickly learn a lot of stuff, pass a test on that, then right after that learn a lot of new stuff and pass a test on THAT.
    And so on.
    And if you are even slightly insecure of one specific part you can bet your life that you need to be an expert on just exactly that thing in order to have a chance to understand anything else.

  • @lolzomgz1337
    @lolzomgz1337 9 лет назад +2

    Question: When we consider an object sliding down a slope we say that the reaction is counteracting gravity, there is a component of the objects weight acting down the slope and resistance due to friction has no vertical component that interacts with the reaction force.
    When we consider circular motion on an inclined plain, we say that the reaction is due to both resisting gravity and also takes into account the vertical component of friction, and that the objects weight does not have a component acting down the slope.
    Why do the laws of physics seem to 'change' so much between these examples? Why do we consider some things in one and not the other? This has been bugging me ENDLESSLY, any help?
