- Today from the highest point of Scotland and the entire United Kingdom, we share with you our ascent of Ben Nevis, join us to conquer its summit.
Located in the Scottish Highlands, one of the most beautiful and impressive places in Scotland, Ben Nevis is visited by more than 100,000 people each year.
Ben Nevis is part of the 3 Peaks in 24 Hours Challenge, which includes the highest mountain in Wales: Snowdon and the highest mountain in England: Scafell Pike, a challenge that we have already talked about in other videos. Usually Ben Nevis is the first to climb.
Part of the experience that we cannot stop recommending, was our camping in the Glen Nevis Camping and Caravan Park, near Fort William, it is in a magnificent location, with stunning views towards Ben Nevis and the mountains around it. The place in a very pleasant environment has excellent conditions, in any of the modalities in which you prefer to stay.
At dawn, we begin our tour following the mountain route, starting at the Ben Nevis Visitor Center, climbing through several small switchbacks for about 570m, before beginning the remaining 700m up the west side, somewhat stony, in a series of larger, but less steep zig-zags.
Climbing Ben Nevis is a fascinating experience, despite how strenuous and difficult the climb can be, and how drastic and changeable the weather conditions can be.
Enjoying the beautiful views of this incredible place and a beautiful sunrise above the clouds, upon reaching its top, at 1,345 meters, rewards all the fatigue. What do you think about it? We would love to read it in the comments.
