- I took a quick trip to Garcia Ridge in the beginning of July to scope things out for later trips with family and friends. It’s just as I remembered it from 10 plus years ago. The Forest Service and local Four Wheel Drive Club has done a good job with brush abatement. My plans quickly changed while on the mountain and out of cell reception. This allowed me the opportunity to drive Nacimiento-Fergusson Road from Highway 1 to Fort Hunter Liggett. It was the first road in that area to reopen after the pandemic.
i know im late to coment but your vid just popped in in my feed. i appreciate you for caring for our beautiful lands. we are very fortunate. i also like to think theres enough of us that do care to take better control of our los padres. i will never hesitate to protect our land. im disappointed the forest service locks us out for the pitiful funds and pay they recieve in one of the most expensive places to live. it sucks. thanks again for your diligence. nice rig too
Good call buddy, specially when your alone
Thanks for the video. I haven't been to Garcia Ridge in about a decade. It was very overgrown and lots of pinstriping occurred. Looks to be more manageable now.
I did that exact same thing went up that shortcut blind and had to back down at the top because I couldn't get traction going over the rut with open difs. Oh well.
What an awesome youtube Chanel!
Thank you.
my prerunner with a rear locker and knobby tires could do this trail, yeah? How often did you need to be in 4hi? 4low?
Yes. I was in 4 high on the steep sections.
If it's dry you'd have no problems doing 2wd on this trail. (Ive been there a few times)
