Great video. Couldn't agree more about your assessment of Focal. I almost purchased the Scalas but moved up to the Maestros for deeper bass. Truly amazing sound that you can't appreciate until you hear them. Maybe a bit bright early on but they relax quite a bit around 500 hours.
Man just loving hearing you talk about Focal. I own the Kanta 3 hooked to a Moon amp, dac and streamer. Total ecstasy for hours on end. Would love to upgrade to the mighty Scalas one day. PS: You listen to Ghost Rider, you absolute Champ! I own a huge amount of psychedelic trance and listen to it daily x
I am a big fan of Focal. Though with my space getting something big really isn't practical. I bought the Focal Aria 926 K2 last year, and whilst I did consider the Aria 936 k2 and Spectral 40th, both were overkill for the size of my room. The big thing I did, which really helped with the sound, was to add a set of ISO Acoustic Gaia III feet, and that really tightened up the bass and helped with isolating instruments much better.
I like the sound of the upper-end Focal speakers as well, but my favorite of all I have listened to is Magico. The Magico M6 is amazing and I recently heard the new S3 and for about $45k they are amazing. Mcintosh is mid-tier at best, there is much better out their for electronics.
So focal completely kills the reverse sound of the tweeter. By contrast, literally next to you, the martin logan allows the reverse sound from their entire frequency range to be played and bounce back off the wall. Irony, the two next to each other.
Beautiful Speakers but very pricey way out of my league....... But I bet they do sound amazing I can think of a lot of great songs I would love to hear on those thanks for the video
You won't see it, its too difficult to use Klippel on such a massive heavy speaker. Erins audio corner had a hard enough time measuring the Blade 2's. Focal has something like 3 anechoic chambers, I'm sure they measure just fine.
@@miscreant1739 Go listen to them! That's the best way to know if they are good for you. I had a pair of blades that according to Erins review, were the best speaker he ever measured. To me, they sounded boring and lifeless. Measurements are great, but at the end of they day they must sound good to your ears.
I think they’re a work of art . If I won the lottery I’d be purchasing the Grande Utopia
same
Focal speakers are probably one of, if not the best in the world period..... Very beautiful and sexy looking!
agreed

Kanta 3 vs Sopra 3... Which do you pick?

You have good taste, but I'm a Focal fan.
If you don’t mind me asking, what is that pretty looking subwoofer in the corner please? (Not as pretty as the Focals obviously)

Thank you.
youre welcome
$30k Magnepan 20.7 X 😊
great stuff
188 pound Technics SB-M1 would clean its clock.
I think these are better.
I'd rather have Magico's.
great speakers, all opinion and taste at this level
Best speaker eh? Let's see some Klippel NFS measurements...

@@cygnus720s2 Nonsense. "Trust me bro" isn't good enough when spending $50k.

Ears not Machines
Over B&O? Hhhmmmmmmmmm I have my doubts but you did nail it about speakers being subjective. Bravo sir🫡
