NORTHERN WAY · STAGE 11 · Vilalba - As Laxes

Today the day brings us with a long journey in kilometers progressing again through the region of A Terra Chá.
The small villages follow one another in a more than recognizable rural enclave that is interspersed by the intermittency of the river courses, several of them saved by historic bridges such as Ponte Rodríguez, Ponte de Saa and Ponte de San Alberte.
The Camino Real leaves us other monumental landmarks of great value such as the churches of Santiago de Baamonde and Miraz, the modest Chapels of Carmio and Santo Adrián or the Tower of Miraz.
The Chapel of Santo Alberte and its Fonte da Fala will surprise us by the natural setting in which they are sheltered, a place for spiritual recollection and that takes us back centuries.
It is also worth a detour a few meters to visit the Church of Paio de Seixón de Abaixo that preserves much of its Romanesque work.
We will close the stage with the great gesture of Lorenzo, the pilgrim who accompanied us the previous stage and who after completing his Camino made us a gift that we do not hesitate to share with you.
