I have been a Christian for many years and know all of the passages mentioned in this video and am quite familiar with the 5 solas and I am honestly amazed at how much this video “shocked” me. Sir you can rest assured that God is proud of your work and I don’t know if you and I would even be able to count the amount of people that could’ve been potentially saved by this, message!

Doctrine matters. I recently heard a "Christian philosopher" who said there are no major differences between the Protestant, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Coptic churches. This man is full of baloney. We must get the gospel right as Bible teaches. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, based on the authority of the Word of God alone. As far as I know, only evangelical Christians teach the true, Biblical gospel. Doctrine matters.

David Kugel that depends because some Catholics are asking one simple question. You believe Christ died for your sins? And lots of people converting to Catholicism because generally speaking Protestant’s are not able to answer that question legitimately. Yes I know piper is an exception to the rule, but that is the point, something deeply wrong when so hard to find someone to answer it

  • @Ryan_Zell

After the very first Protestants no longer walked with Jesus (John 6:66), He turns to the Apostles and says "Are you going to leave also?" What does Peter say?
    John 6:68-69 NASB
Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. [69] We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God."
What were those words of Eternal Life Peter was referring to?
    John 6:53-54,56-58 NASB
So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. [54] He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. [56] He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. [57] As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. [58] This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever."
The very first Protestants didn't like those words.

The Bread of Life Discourse is revealed at The Last Supper and confirmed on the Road to Emmaus.

    • @Ryan_Zell
      @Ryan_Zell 2 года назад

@@athonyhiggins3117 impossible to do that in this format.
JOHN 6 and the Bread of Life Discourse are revealed at the Last Supper.
And then we see those prophetic words spoken by Jesus in John:
      John 6:64,70 NASBS
But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. [70] Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?"
This is revealed by these words spoken of at John's Last Supper:
      John 13:26-27 NIV
Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. [27] As soon as Judas took the bread, 👈 *Satan entered into him.* 👈 So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”
Every Protestant who denies the Real & Substantial Presence of the Holy Eucharist, eats the same bread given to Judas by the hand of Christ Himself.
Nothing ugly here, just fact. Protestants are spiritually dead. Why? Because they eat the bread of spiritual death, not the Bread of Life.

@@athonyhiggins3117 Excellent. We affirm John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
When Jesus said that the words he has spoken are spirit and life, he was not saying that he was speaking only symbolically. In Greek, the word pneuma ("Spirit") does not mean symbolic. In both the Old and the New Testament, the spirit is real, more real than anything in the visible material world.
See John 4:24 when Jesus said "God is Spirit" (pneuma), he certainly did not mean that God was merely symbolic! Unless you want to believe your baptism was symbolic and you were baptized in the HOLY SYMBOLIC.
The spirit and flesh is a contrast between the spirits ability to enlighten our minds (14:26) and human reasons inability to comprehend revealed truths apart from faith, (8:15) it is this Earthbound perspective that is profitless in the face of divine Mysteries. Note that Jesus is not speaking of his own "flesh" which does give life to the world (6:51) Ephesians 2:13-16, Heb 10:10, CCC 737.
Jesus is now contrasting the man who sees things only with “the flesh”, with purely human thoughts and desires, to the man who sees things with the “spirit”, with his thoughts and desires elevated by God’s grace. There are several scriptural verses which support this understanding of “the flesh” vs. “spirit”, most especially in 1st Corinthians and Romans:
“The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man judges all things but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. But I, brethren, could not address you as spiritual men, but as men of the flesh, as babes in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not ready for it; and even yet you are not ready, for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving like ordinary men? For when one says, “I belong to Paul” and another “I belong to Apollos”, are you not merely men?” (1 Corinthians 2:14-3:4)
“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, indeed it cannot; and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God really dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of God does not belong to him.” (Romans 8:1-13)
Other scripture confirms this consistent understanding of “THE flesh” vs. “Spirit” (Matt 26:41, John 3:6, Gal 3:3,4:29, 5:13-26, Rom 7:5-6,25, 13:14).
