Fun fact: Old Napoleonic laws prohibit toll rolls in Brittany! It might take you longer to get everywhere out here, but it doesn’t cost you anything! 😂 This is a great itinerary. Just a side note that banks are closed every Monday. Their “weekend” is Sunday and Monday and many public service locations in rural France also close half day on Saturday. Love the market tip - it’s one of my fav ways to plan a trip in France is to include a marché day. The alternative locations at the end are spot on. Excellent suggestions.

Took me many trips to finally get a handle on the French toll roads. I have found to use the credit card you need an INTL Bank and a chip in the card and then they work great. Otherwise avoid the toll roads. The best of France is on the side roads anyway.
We had more than one awkward situation where we were stuck behind pay gates likes "well, this is how it ends. We're stuck here" 😂
