She was really good looking in that show.She was a beautiful young lady in the 60's.

Linda Evans was one of the most beautiful women in the world and even now is lovely.
Audra's character was indeed admirable and having three caring and protective brothers like her would be wonderful. A dream come true!
I loved this show and was very sad and angry when it was canceled AND Banaza/Ponderosa kept going for years. The Big Valley was a much better western show!!!!

I recognize the clip of Audrey Hepburn. She spoke at a press conference on the day Barbara Stanwyck died, and paid a tribute to Stanwyck. It would have been nice if the narrator had mentioned that.

This is the first I ever heard of Eugene. I did not know he ever existed. That was a good looking family. My favorite was Richard Long as Jarrod. Sorry the actor passed away so young.
Loved the show, (along with Bonanza) real Men and women, great stories of family and honor and truth. Of course, I have the DVD set (but still watch on TV, HA!) I've always dreamed of writing a novel where the two clans meet, YEEHAA!

I remember Eugene from the first season then they wrote him out of the series when he was drafted into the army.
He was one of the brothers in the early episodes, then he disappeared 😱😱 unexplained
@@aphill2208 he was only mentioned once more. They explained his absence by saying he was "back east" studying medicine. Nowadays tv series tend to be more continuous and they don't just drop characters, but back in the early days they didn't seem to think the audience would notice.

My social media growing up in the 70"s staring at the television .. I'm so sad I spent so much time watching this crap. That was life in Ohio. I got out as soon as I could, not soon enough.

Why do people throw any old shots into their videos? Barbara Stanwyck and Audrey Hepburn are clearly not the same person. Also, the picture of the older Charles Briles is of a man born in 1922. The Charles Briles who was in The Big Valley was born in 1945. Clearly not the the same man.

It may have been referred to later in the series in an episode or two and I remembered being surprised because that was never really mentioned to my memory.
