You have made a significant impact in your field, and your contributions have not gone unnoticed. Your determination and drive serve as a constant reminder that anything is possible with perseverance and hard work. Thank you for being a role model to me and to so many others
The quality of your lighting makes such a huge difference in being able to see what you're doing, it's amazing how clear everything is... Did you get a new setup??? The dress is just fabulous 😍 again the lighting just made it shine so much!! I'm so happy to see this dress being so successful - it's definitely a winner 💖
Awesome video, instant subscribe. I've been wondering about sewing sequins and reading lots of different opinions from different sources- where did you get your sequin fabric and what kind of needle are you using? Thanks!
Great tutorial, I am working on my own using inspiration from hautebyhope plus a dress pattern I found online that is a similar shape. This is a great learning resource for the sleeve cuffs !
Despite measuring, I decided to go up two sizes based on the comments. The dress was still too large around my hips and I ended up having to put in fabric. I don't think this is just me because there are numerous other comments saying the same thing. The sizing on the pattern is odd, however, the dress came out great after I had to make adjustments.
As much as I loved this design and the outcome, your overall instructions did make it extremely hard to follow, for beginners it might be better to have a slower version available even with this complicated of a dress. Just thought I should let you know for future videos.
Just for reference for those of you making this dress, sizing is way off. According to the pattern measurements, my daughter needed a size 6 but i had to make above the waist a size 10, move the waist up about 3 inches and make below the waist a size 18! I had to make it 3 times before it fit, requiring 3 fabric purchases. Not happy with this pattern at all. I will say it was well-written and easy to follow.
Hi Christy! I've made this pattern in every size (2-18) for customers and have never had a fit issue. Make sure you're following the correct lines on the pattern - sometimes they can get mixed up / hard to read! If you fall between a few sizes, I suggest blending the sizes to get that perfect fit! I do that for my customers all the time :)
i also had this issue... but for some reason the lining was about 5 in wider than the outer shell 😭so i am using the lining pattern as the shell pattern. (i checked and i did cut them out in the same size --10)
has anyone who’s made this dress found their outer shell to be roughly 3 inches too small in the back ? i cut out all the pieces and measured myself to figure out what size to use and i have a gaping hole in the back 😭😭
Love the dress but the sizing is way off and the outer back shell is too small.I also found the collar didn’t fit well as it was cut in a straight line and not in a curve. The centre back lining was also a problem as the neckline was wrong and didn’t fit with the back shell. Overall not satisfied with this pattern.
Hi! I’m sorry you’ve had issues with the pattern! I’d double check these things: 1. Make sure the pattern is printed at 100% scale 2. Make sure your outer shell fabric is STRETCHY - this will NOT work with non-stretch sequins As for the collar - that’s how mock necks are made! They’re never patterned at a curve. I’ve made this pattern over 50 times in ALL sizes and it has always fit all of my customers perfectly, so double check you’re doing it right!

Thank you so much! This seriously means a lot to me 🥹🫶🏼
@@NataliaTrevinoAmaro Keep up the good work
FYI I made the pattern in the largest size and I needed closer to 1.25 yards of the lining and shell fabric!
Thank you for letting me know! I will update that! ❤️
the dress is gorgeous!!! I love it!
Thank you!!

Thank you! My friend works for a production company and was able to rent out some equipment to help me film!

Wonderful tutorial! The dress looks great 💕
Thank you!

Woohoo! Congrats! So excited to make this dress ❤
Thank you so much!!!
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
How did you see on the beaded fringe since you cut off the ribbon? I’ve never sewed before and that’s something I can’t find info on!
this is amazing!! i’m hoping to wear this to the eras tour. but since i’m wearing to a concert is it itchy and is it uncomfortable?
Nope! Since it’s fully lined, the sequins aren’t touching your skin! It’s pretty comfy!
i am definitely going to make this! what type of fabric did you use for your lining?? 😍💕
I used a charmeuse for the lining but you could use any lightweight woven fabric!
For the outer shell front, do I fold the sequin fabric in half to get one front piece?
@nataliatrevinoamaro
Yes!
is this a hard dress to make? i really want to wear this to the eras tour, but i have very little experience with sewing
could you write how many yards is needeed for the heart?
Just half a yard!
What size did you make for reference?
I’m a size 2! 32 chest, 25 waist, & 37 hip! The only adjustment I made to mine was making it shorter since I’m 5 ft 3

Thanks for the feedback! I will say though, this is a relatively complex pattern and I wouldn’t particularly label it “beginner friendly”
plss do the dress of i bet you think about me😭🙏
I am doing this for Halloween and the eras tour conjoined (I am seeing the film
this is so perfect, but could u PLS make bigger sizes?
I don’t have a fit model to properly create a plus size pattern, hopefully in the future! It’s just not in my capacity/budget right now
Has anyone with no sewing experience made this before? I am super interested in making it but not sure if I am capable!
is the pattern to scale?
Yes!

i also had this issue after printing the pattern to scale and correctly cutting out the size.... I'm not sure why the sizing is so off.
🥰

mine was more like 5 inches, but the lining is a perfect fit😵💫
I'd make sure you're using a STRETCH fabric for the outer-shell! I keep seeing people try to use a woven and it won't work that way!

Hahah it’s not a competition, but thank you!
