Haven't made the switch to silicone yet, but I hate truing tires, and I am terrible at it! That is probably enough reason right there to make the switch!
Great points about silicone tires! I was at a crossroad between silicone and urethane when I first started, and wound up doing an eenie-meenie-minie-moe about it, and urethane won, Lol, so now I just stick with those (they're awesome as well). Either way (and as @johnniehobby is showing, stock rubber can be excellent too, when it's not hardening/melting!), enjoy to the fullest!!
Awesome video Joe!! Once I get through my entire collection on recorded stock lap times and start to tune all the cars, I intend to invest in tires, especially for the Carrera cars so I can run them magless! Great information buddy!!
Same here Joe!! I'm sometimes too methodical for my own good... Also why I'm keeping all magnets in cars for now until I establish lap times to compare eventually. 🤣 Biggest thing is to just have a blast in the process!@@IrrerasCarrera
I use Quick Slicks sold by slotcarcorner.com there are also Super Tires silicone that are also used in the hobby but I don't have experience with them.

I didn't want to give myself the chance of messing up. set em' and forget em' for silicone. But good on you to dive into truing

Use what works as long as you're having fun. That's the bottom line. If it's good for you.....good for you! 😊
Awesome video! Very informative
Great post Joe . Lovin your humor 😊i will eventually get aftermarket tryes when i get annoyed enough with my standards 😅
Thanks Latvia, I just try to use what comes naturally. I'm glad you get my humor.

Thanks, I will eventually move to magless but for now my journey is to see how fast i can get these puppies to run. Even if that means more crashes.

lol 😂 i😂 love the bloopers!!!
Thanks, I had a lot to choose from😅
I'm on PU tires and foam tires for my 1/32 and 1/24. Silicone on H0 cars only!
Those HO cars can really fly. I understand why you would use silicone. Thanks!
Great video, simple, quick with a clear message. But I found your baseball cap distracting. I want a Souvlaki now...
Best Souvlaki in the Laurentians
Yes the same reasons I use them !!!!
I don't know silicone tires. What brands of silicone tires are available?
I use Quick Slicks sold by slotcarcorner.com

5 points. Enough said. Got it? I use silicone as well
