Bald darauf sollte eine Zeit folgen, in welcher mich diese jedoch nicht mehr berühren würden und so erging es auch dem Rock, der für mich immer mehr in Vergessenheit geriet und zu verblassen schien. BEFORE YOU ASK A QUESTION READ THIS COMMENT For Evigt is the same as The Bliss except for the chorus. For Evigt's chorus is Danish and sung by Johan Olsen, who was also featured on The Garden's Tale. The Bliss's chorus is in English and sung by Michael Poulsen. They are completely different and not just translations of the other. For Evigt will be a bonus track on the deluxe version of Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie if you are in America. Depending on where you live, For Evigt will take The Bliss's place as a main track and The Bliss will be a bonus track.

I’m Danish, and in Danish they’re pretty much saying: “Forever, maybe forever, shall we go together, the same way. And when tomorrow gets it’s eyes, and the night rests, shall we forever, maybe, go the same way” Not really 100 correct, cause it’s hard to directly translate the poetic aspect but that’s pretty much translated what they sing
The poetic aspect is that they say "når i morgen får øjne" instead of the more common "når i morgen åbner øjnenene". The phrasing they use is normally only used to describe the first time a kitten or puppy opens its eyes. It directly translates to "when tomorrow gets eyes", which unfortunately doesn't sound quite as beautiful in English.
Two of my friends got married last weekend. In his speech, the groom used the lyrics from the chorus to end his speech. Loved it! Can't go wrong with Volbeat.
Volbeat recycles riffs and vocalisations over and over and yet every time. Every time. It's fresh and epic. I don't know how they do it, but I hope they keep doing it. 🤘
Most hits are constructed that way so you can sing along, instant familiarity. Not saying it's easy or simple to find that balance, but it's a pattern ;p
Growing up, Bad Company was my favorite band. Volbeat is very close to replacing Bad Company. Michael Paulsen is this generation's Paul Rodgers just because of his vocal range, tone control and how easily he belts out these powerful lyrics.
I first discovered Volbeat in 2013. Heard “Still Counting” on XM radio and was hooked. My wife then heard “Doc Holiday” and “Lola Montez” and she was hooked. Together, we’ve seen them live in 3 different countries on two continents and will see them again this weekend in Iowa, USA. July 15th.

This song randomly showed up in my autoplay list. I don't know why I've never heard this before, but this is now my favorite Volbeat song. I love how the chorus is in Danish, it sounds beautiful 😊
I am Estonian who while working in sweden heard this song from the radio. I dont speak swedish (only couple of words) but i understanded the part that in Danish a little bit. I would like also the whole song in Danish....
You have just destroyed a language... Holy shit... Here we go. For-ever, maybe forever, shall we maybe walk the same road. And when tomorrow opens it's eyes, and the night is resting, shall we forever walk the same road. (this is translated into grammatical english, and therefore not a direct translation - mostly to make more sense to non danish speakers). Directly translated: For-ever, maybe forever shall we maybe the same way, and when tomorrow gets' eyes and the night is resting now, shall we forever the same way. So Ronni was not too far off. He just ended up with a homicide and the english language was his victim.
I'm 31 years old. My bestfriend who is few years younger than me introduce your band. And this is one of the decision that I'll never regret, which is subscribing you guys in RUclips and spotify. Thank you for existing! Fyi, I just know the existence of you guys last couple of days! Greetings from Sarawak, Malaysia!

Talk about a band that crossed many cultures/languages/borders, just in that one phrase look how music is universal, this band is incredible. I'm just getting into them fully but as a musician I've fallen in love with pretty much everything I've heard.
I absolutely love the english/danish mixtures which appear in volbeats/MPs songs. U could say listening to volbeat makes me feel (only for example .. there are SO MUCH other vibes and feelings it and HE activates in me) like reading Shakespeare
I know it's like month since you commented; but they have sold gold on a handful of singles and have been on the Billboard top 200 #38 i believe for 3-4 weeks
I actually really like this. it has some Lola montez vibes but not even close to being the same. Mostly just the beginning part. I'm sure they'll have some heavier songs on there too. Volbeat has always been about variety.

Not even close? There's literally a guitar section in this that is copy and pasted from Lola Montez XD there's Lola Montez vibes cuz they're the same XD learn how music works bro lol
Diego Gaitan as a mean Swedish neighbor I'll tell you what danish really sounds like. It sounds like a really drunk guy who has a super hot potato in his mouth and is trying to speak. And also, even hot girls sound like men when they speak danish.
This is one of those songs that no matter how bad I'm feeling, I can throw it on and feel a little better. Even if it's only for the length of the song.
I dont understand half of this song (well, ok, I did look up translations), but I can still hear the pain and angst in this song. It's so beautiful. Will always thank my Danish friend for putting me onto this one. I may only have listened to their English songs otherwise
(the Danish part) Forever! maybe forever! should we together! go the same way and when tomorrow starts waking! And the night goes to sleep! will we together go the same way! (That's the jist of it, there are some of the lyrics that really can't be translated, like it's kinda poetic in Danish, but that won't make sense in English, but this is meaning of it)
I once saw them on pinkpop. That was really a musical celebration. what a great act this danish band. one of the best I have ever seen, and I have seen quite a few in my 65 years of life.❤ I love Volbeat
I think I'm going to get "For Evigt" as my first tattoo. I don't know where, but just simple and small in pretty font. This is probably my favourite Volbeat song. And that's saying a lot because they're my number 1 favourite band!
Friggin' love this version of this song. ETA: American and of course an english speaker but I also love to sing along to this....hey I sing along with Rammstein too.
Lol! ah-I may take a slightly different view from most of my fellow people in that I don't think I'm perfect at it,but I can probably be understood and that's all I can ask for. As far as singing itself goes...No professional here but I have been singing in one way or another since I was a teen so I can hold my own.
One of my absolute favourite songs and one of the best songs ever written! Danish is such a cool language, so closely related to my mother tongue German, and yet so different.
Danish is very closely related to German and Dutch despite being a Nordic language (I know they are all Germanic, but the branches are different). The words are Nordic but the pronunciation is heavily influenced by German and Dutch. Personally as a Dane I feel especially at home in the Netherlands due to this. When I walk down the streets of a city like Amsterdam the speech in the background feels like Danish until I listen to the actual words spoken and my brain goes "wait it's not." The reverse of the feeling I get in Stockholm where I don't recognize the intonation, but I recognize the words once I stop and listen to them. Not all Danes like to admit it, but I always felt Danish was very German in nature, and it's why the Norwegians and Swedes like to make fun of our language, they share a very different way of speaking to the one Danes adopted and share in part with Germans.
For a few years I lived near by the Danish border and one of my neighbors often hear this song late at night. Like it so much. Even I don't understand. It doesn't matter
"Forever! Maybe forever! We'll go together, all the way! And when tomorrow awakens, and the night it goes to sleep, we'll go together, maybe, all the way!"
This song helped me through a really hard time and ultimately its message of hope presented a new beginning for me and someone I care about. Somehow I knew that the message this song gave was real and only recently was it realized. Thank you for this. :)
Saw these guys Decemeber 2022 in Leeds, Michael Poulsen had a really bad cold and asked the crowd to help him sing. He could just have sat down and listened as the entire audience sang every word of every song. Sign of an awesome band right there, and I like to think they could hear me singing :D
Saw them live in Des Moines a few weeks ago with A7x and Metallica. I came in knowing nothing about Volbeat and left a huge fan. You guys were so amazing live i had a great time!
I was there too! I wish I had been into them as much as I am now, and A7X was great, saw them here in Cedar Rapids last month, they put on one hell of a show

This song randomly showed up in my autoplay list. I don't know why I've never heard this before, but this is now my favorite Volbeat song. I love how the chorus is in Danish, it sounds beautiful 😊
I will NEVER have had enough of his voice! ❤❤❤
En av de bästa låtarna jag hört!!! Halleluja och allt heligt, tack, tack, tack !! 🙏🏾🤘❤
I m 61 and that sound do rocks me deeply...we rock universal...hell yeah !
Love hearing the danish part ^^ Im Norwegian, so its fun understanding what he is singing ^^
Stemmer det! Johan Olsen´s got a rad voice perfect for Volbeat. Would love to hear Kim Larsen involved in some future song too!
I am Estonian who while working in sweden heard this song from the radio. I dont speak swedish (only couple of words) but i understanded the part that in Danish a little bit. I would like also the whole song in Danish....
Jeg elsker Volbeat
+Daastar han begriper inte
You have just destroyed a language... Holy shit...
Here we go.
For-ever, maybe forever, shall we maybe walk the same road. And when tomorrow opens it's eyes, and the night is resting, shall we forever walk the same road.
(this is translated into grammatical english, and therefore not a direct translation - mostly to make more sense to non danish speakers).
Directly translated:
For-ever, maybe forever shall we maybe the same way, and when tomorrow gets' eyes and the night is resting now, shall we forever the same way.
So Ronni was not too far off. He just ended up with a homicide and the english language was his victim.
Forever volbeat

Im from Germany and Volbeat Kicks Ass :)
They kick ass in Canada too :)
And definitely in Hungary as well:)!
They could win Guiness Record as "The band that kicks ass in most countries of the world":)
Johannes Regner they dominated in US as well. just a solid consistent amazing band!
saw them at the welcome to Rockville concert first time hearing them live back in 2014
I'm 31 years old.
One of the best songs I have ever heard. Great message, musicianship and the vocals knock your knickers off!
This is my favorite Volbeat song. I just resonates with me on so many levels.
I`m originally from Ukraine but work in Denmark for almost 10 months.
Very often listened this song on radio and finally have found band, that sings this great song!
I will share their music with friends. Love it! ♥
Priviet! ☝😊
For evigt, måske for evigt (1), skal vi sammen, samme vej(2). Og når i morgen fåt øjne, og natten hviler sig(3), skal vi for evigt måske samme vej(4)
Forever, maybe forever (1), we'll go along, along the same road(2). And when tomorrow gets eyes, and the night is resting itself (3), we'll go forever on the same road(4)
Forever, maybe forever (1), we shall together, go on the same road(2), and when tomorrow gets eyes, and the night is resting itself(3), we'll go forever on the same road(4)
Danish ppl, hvis i kan gøre det bedre, så gør det :)
Talk about a band that crossed many cultures/languages/borders, just in that one phrase look how music is universal, this band is incredible. I'm just getting into them fully but as a musician I've fallen in love with pretty much everything I've heard.
О я тож з України аххаах
And the most prominent "danish" woman, Lagertha/Katheryn Winnick is actually Ukrainian
The Bliss (English version) just doesn't hit the same as this. Absolutely love lyrics in other languages than my own.
AGREED!!!!!
same
❤🤘🏻❤🤘🏻❤🤘🏻❤🤘🏻❤🤘🏻❤
Regarding german songs are suck ass, for me every englisch song sounds godlike
I absolutely love the english/danish mixtures which appear in volbeats/MPs songs. U could say listening to volbeat makes me feel (only for example .. there are SO MUCH other vibes and feelings it and HE activates in me) like reading Shakespeare
this band is so underrated
How? They are...like the biggest band in Denmark... What do you mean underrated?
Henrik Kragh not known well at all in the states, thank god for RUclips
I know it's like month since you commented; but they have sold gold on a handful of singles and have been on the Billboard top 200 #38 i believe for 3-4 weeks
Underrated? They where one of the main acts at Greenfield Festival. That was so awesome
Drescher1984 they also got a few platinum ratings
I actually really like this. it has some Lola montez vibes but not even close to being the same. Mostly just the beginning part. I'm sure they'll have some heavier songs on there too. Volbeat has always been about variety.
+Giruga x Hakusho true ;)
+Giruga x Hakusho 0:57 CAPTAIN AMERICA: Civil War is online to watch. Here at ----> plus.google.com/112393930432194212680/posts/P5YVS29bQ9A in Bluray quality.
+Winifred Haney Dude, wtf, no one wants your virus
i amsure
Not even close? There's literally a guitar section in this that is copy and pasted from Lola Montez XD there's Lola Montez vibes cuz they're the same XD learn how music works bro lol
Great Song. Danish is such a beatiful lenguage.
Where are you from?
Btw danish is a really weird launguage.
Diego Gaitan as a mean Swedish neighbor I'll tell you what danish really sounds like. It sounds like a really drunk guy who has a super hot potato in his mouth and is trying to speak. And also, even hot girls sound like men when they speak danish.
Martin Brøchner Jørgensen 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Go Danmark 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

WOW, MEGA!!! Was für ein Sound, Schlagzeug, Gitarre und im Wechsel englisch und dänisch! Ich liebe eure Musik, eure Lebensfreude! Macht weiter so.
This is one of those songs that no matter how bad I'm feeling, I can throw it on and feel a little better. Even if it's only for the length of the song.
Johan’s voice is just so amazing. Love him!!!!
Hey is Also a scientist from Copenhagen university in fysics
Okay Wild man but he is also danish , hi hi 🇩🇰
I love him more 😊❤❤
This language sounds beautiful.
Danish is a pretty language. Close to my language (norwegian)
lol man nobody can even learn it no way to be beautiful
+Crazy boy what has this to do with french.unless women wants to french Kiss front singer Michael.is Danish
You can learn any language if you put effort...
Many people thinks Danish is a disqusting language.
Maybe it is because it sounds like a mix of many other languages? :)
I dont understand half of this song (well, ok, I did look up translations), but I can still hear the pain and angst in this song. It's so beautiful. Will always thank my Danish friend for putting me onto this one. I may only have listened to their English songs otherwise
(the Danish part)
Forever!
maybe forever!
should we together! go the same way
and when tomorrow starts waking! And the night goes to sleep!
will we together go the same way!
(That's the jist of it, there are some of the lyrics that really can't be translated, like it's kinda poetic in Danish, but that won't make sense in English, but this is meaning of it)
Thank you!
Tak.
Army!💞💞
Songs never translate to English well....and I'm ok with that lol
👍🇩🇰
probably the best thing to come outta Denmark since Carlsberg. That man Johann can sing for sure.
Yep 👍
Volbeat dont know how to do a bad song... Literally every song they create is pure awsomeness!
Although I am not into the death metal tracks, I do love most of their stuff. Michael has a true talent.
@@inspire734 Sorry for the way late reply, but this is not Death Metal in any way :p
@@Nirumano True, it's punk rock
I once saw them on pinkpop. That was really a musical celebration. what a great act this danish band. one of the best I have ever seen, and I have seen quite a few in my 65 years of life.❤ I love Volbeat
I think I'm going to get "For Evigt" as my first tattoo. I don't know where, but just simple and small in pretty font. This is probably my favourite Volbeat song. And that's saying a lot because they're my number 1 favourite band!
That would be a nice gesture. But what if you someday get sick of them?
Krygeryo They're not the type of band I would get sick of. They've been a big part of my life for a couple of years now.
Morrigan Miller Nice it means for ever
Lil Ziggy That's also why I want to get it because that word holds a lot of symbolic meaning to me :)
hugo
Friggin' love this version of this song.
ETA:
American and of course an english speaker but I also love to sing along to this....hey I sing along with Rammstein too.
I agree. I prefer this version too. it just sounds, right.
But there is a differenc between the danish language and the german xD
Dude I'd like to hear you sing Rammstein :D Probably funny for a german like me. Anyways, I sing this whole song too^^
Lol! ah-I may take a slightly different view from most of my fellow people in that I don't think I'm perfect at it,but I can probably be understood and that's all I can ask for.
As far as singing itself goes...No professional here but I have been singing in one way or another since I was a teen so I can hold my own.
Depends on how much you deal with that language in my opinion. But it's probably true ;). Ah god, english is such a nice language^^
that voice ... glad to see to see there are still great metal/rock voices
Two years today I lost my son Mike 😢💙 This was his song… I know he’ll be listening 💙
This song made me cry, I'm not sure why.
My dad Loves Volbeat, and he showed me this song on his phone, i listened to it, and i Loved it!!! 😍😍😍😍💘💘💘💘💘
#VolbeatRocks!!!!
Same way I got into this band.
Me too😂
Same but its my Step Dad
One of my absolute favourite songs and one of the best songs ever written! Danish is such a cool language, so closely related to my mother tongue German, and yet so different.
Ærpprprprotiitf,ubfubijkog
Mein Leben , Sau geiler Track!!!!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤟
For a few years I lived near by the Danish border and one of my neighbors often hear this song late at night. Like it so much. Even I don't understand. It doesn't matter
it means we are all going the same way,for evigt måske for evigt, means forever mayby forever.elo denmark
"Forever! Maybe forever! We'll go together, all the way! And when tomorrow awakens, and the night it goes to sleep, we'll go together, maybe, all the way!"
that`s it
@@peterjacobsen8120 for a very good job I had to leave my lovely Baltic sea. I miss every day
@@elopetersen5440 yes it is
This song helped me through a really hard time and ultimately its message of hope presented a new beginning for me and someone I care about. Somehow I knew that the message this song gave was real and only recently was it realized. Thank you for this. :)
Feel you bro.

Ich liebe Vollbeat 😘
Saw these guys Decemeber 2022 in Leeds, Michael Poulsen had a really bad cold and asked the crowd to help him sing. He could just have sat down and listened as the entire audience sang every word of every song.
Sign of an awesome band right there, and I like to think they could hear me singing :D
My ring tone, my alarm clock tone, while being happy singing and dancing, while sad, listening and looking out of the window. This song has it all!
They do not make them any better do they
This song is the anniversary for "Gardens Tale".. And a tribute to Johan Olsen.... The song that made the breakthrough for Volbeat.... Love that shit
+John Andersen 10 years ago.... Already....
thanks for dropping knowledge! 🎸
+John Andersen I wish Johan would sing in more albums. He has really good voice and I love hearing Danish vocals

Today I discovered Volbeat. By myself. They are so good and the singer is amazing. This song is wonderful. I'm so happy right now 😁🤗🎶💕🤗😘

The day I discovered Volbeat so did my neighborhood
@@jackjensen5864 I got a cousin named jack jensen lol, only cool people have the last name Jensen
Saw them live in Des Moines a few weeks ago with A7x and Metallica. I came in knowing nothing about Volbeat and left a huge fan. You guys were so amazing live i had a great time!
Rabid Guinea Pig Volbeat should have been Headlining this Tour
Yeh your lucky. I didn’t know about volbeat till the beginning of last year
I'm a big fan of A7x, did you also liked it??
I was there too! I wish I had been into them as much as I am now, and A7X was great, saw them here in Cedar Rapids last month, they put on one hell of a show
Our football team has been playing the "warrior" song for lack of better title for a few years. When they run out onto the field. I saw them live at the IL State Fair 2016.
Oh man. You don't know how much you help me.
REally love their overall sound and style!! Cheers to Volbeat!!
Never heard of this band till Saturday night and haven't stopped blasting them out since fantastic
I just discovered volbeat about 10 months ago..how in the hell are they not the hottest band in the world is beyond me?
Thank you Volbeat for this amazing, and beautiful song.
thank you, bacon,denmark and bacon,and volbeat,that is Denmark,like or not,that is us,he he
I don't know a word of Danish, but I totally get it. Transcends language. Killer!!!
Love the Danish part!
Makes learning Danish a bit easier! Wish there were more videos like this and music, too! Love it!
I KNOW THIS IS 6 YEARS OLD BUT YOU SHOULD TOTALLY LISTEN TO "Signe Svendsen"
Espectacular canción. ....Menudo ritmo, te embriaga su estilo. ....voces y músicos lo bordan. ...gracias por animarme el alma y sacarme unos bailoteos. Gran grupo
my dad introduced me to this song about a year ago and ive been obsessed ever since! thanks dad 😍
Who here prefers the Danish part more than the English part on The Bliss?
Me because I understand everything
BTW. Johan Olsen is from Magtens Korridorer I think.
Chaotic Wolf Indeed he is.
I prefer Danish. more melodic that way
You prefer it because the Danish part is the hook of the song. Like with every chorus, you're supposed to like it.
Just lost my dad like few days ago and this song helped me to forget it but i just cant :/ just never give up on life ❤️
:/
Just getting into this group now and browsing videos. Really sorry man, my thoughts are with you. Forward, always forward my friend.
thansk bro god bless
I’ve just discovered this song and can’t stop listening
me too 😍
OMG, What a heavenly voice, that is what I searched for, thanks a lot...
The time when you are swedish and don't say Danskjävlar.
Great band. Loving me some Sabaton and Volbeat. For Evigt is easily among my top favorite songs. The "For Evigt" part is so fucking epic.
Man, we need this positivity in our world right now.
Yeah!

Always think and be positive.
No matter what happens 😎🙂
