    As a survivor of domestic violence, I really liked the two innovations for those who are victims. The only thing I will say is that there should be a corresponding version in mens toilets in hospitals and public places. Men can be victims too but find it way harder to find help.

    These are awesome. I did need to take a moment at 4:38 though, these kinds of discrete alerts need to be implemented all over, not just for DV but also for young people not wanting their parents present during appointments. There are a lot of occasions where a patient might feel unable to get the privacy they really need. I love the innovative ways people are helping those in need to communicate what they need to without increasing risk from doing so!

    I love all of these except the controller with the keyboard on the back. I've only used them on planes but the amount of times you press stuff on the back trying to press buttons on the front even with the bottoms of the fingers...! I even do it with Wii remotes, I've had games I've disconnected them mid-action because I've hit the sync button when two hands were needed...!
    I see why it's helpful because new kids today can't just 'old-style' text (or just move the cursor to whatever letter on screen if there's an onscreen keyboard) but...? It's just more hinderance honestly.

      Toshiba had a clever remote for its HDD/DVD recorders that had a flap that covered the lower half of the keypad. The flap had its own buttons as well, that simply pushed through to the "real" buttons underneath (which were used for lesser-used functions). This way, you could effectively have two keypads in the space of one.

    • @Roadent1241
      @Roadent1241 2 года назад

      @@Milesco How was the top half of the keypad not a problem then? XP

    • @Milesco
      @Milesco 2 года назад

      @@Roadent1241 Not quite sure what you're asking. The top half of the keypad was just a regular remote control keypad. The bottom half was sort of a double-layer thing. The lower level contained actual buttons, while the flap, which was normally closed, contained "virtual" buttons that simply pressed on the "actual" buttons underneath when pressed. This way, you could effectively double the number of buttons without requiring a larger remote control.

      If its any consolation,this design wastes significant capacity,since the fridge is cuboid yet the storage is cylindrical.
      There are much better,simpler solutions.
      This one looks elegant,but it wastes considerable space.
      Simply get suitable drawers from an old freezer that fit your existing fridge.
      (added benefit,each time you open the DOOR,you DON'T allow the cold air in the fridge to escape into the kitchen and vice versa,every time you grab milk bottle or replace it😎)

      I heard of this problem a lot but never encountered it (live in Italy).
      if you go in a supermarket here and can't find something you will need to actively look for someone who works there.
      The only exception I found is in smaller specialised places (like make-up stores and sometimes clothes) where someone will come greet you (if there's only you - if they're talking to someone you'll have to wait for your turn) but if you say you're just looking they leave you alone. It's not like you will have any difficulty finding them in those 20 square metres if you need something.

      Bicycle seats are spongy and tend to absorb moisture, so it's actually quite difficult to "clean" [dry] them.

    0:55. I very much doubt the doctors did it, but nice idea anyway.
    1:10. Fine as long as you don't tuck your shirt into your trousers.
    2:41. Why would blind people be in an art gallery anyway?
    3:00. Would be more annoying than secure imho.
    4:02. Why?
    4:51. Again, why?
    5:02. As at 2:41, why are they there?

      If the art gallery is accessible they would have a good reason to be in it. The POINT is to make it so they can enjoy it Also, blind people ask people to describe things to them all the time.
