LEWIS BURNS
Lewis Burns is a Tubba-Gah Wiradjuri man born and living in Dubbo, NSW Australia. He has been learning about his Aboriginal culture for as long as he can remember. He continues to practice and respect these life skills each day and still learns and grows from this ancient knowledge. Lewis’ love of his heritage is evident when you speak with him, and depicted even more in his Aboriginal crafts, traditional dancing, didgeridoo performances, mural paintings and teaching. He is very dedicated to sharing what he knows with others to help keep these customs alive.
Lewis paints in traditional Aboriginal and contemporary styles. He has exhibited globally and performed globally with his handcrafted didgeridoos. Each piece of Lewis’ artwork tells a story…..a story that will live on forever through the generations, as the artwork is handed down from one family to another.

I'm a. 6th generation white australian. I've been learning the didgeridoo as a way to both finally learn and instrument but also to have a deeper connection to the indigenous community and history of the land.
I'm from the USA and I'm learning how to play this. This is my favorite instrument in all the world.
It's an instrument from arguably the oldest civilization in existence, according to scientists.
When I play or hear it, my hair always stands on end. I feel it's because it's a positive vibration.
Just like the Gyuto monks' chants from Tibet.
Hello from Croatia. My 9 y.o. has an assignment in her English class to choose any country in the world and its instrument and present it. I showed her your didgeridoo and she liked it! You will be in our homework .
Happy to be a part of the homework!
Incredible performance, immersing me in the vibration that is life. We need this. Thank you.
Agreed, this was an amazing presentation. Cheers!
Growing up as an urban white Aussie I knew so little about our indigenous people. They were “hidden”. Now it’s different and I am glad
❤in plain sight for Everyone on this beautiful planet to hear and see❤❤❤❤❤❤
They kept the knowledge🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
They weren’t just hidden, they were massacred in genocide by the hundreds of thousands by the British crown. Many were incarcerated and taken away from their parents and forced to live in catholic institutions, forced to forget their ancestry and their rites, their memories, many were abused and treated worse than animals.
This is the Best digeridoo performance I have seen. I love this song.
This music brings Peace and Healing to your Soul.
I am so glad I have re connected to this wonderful Aboriginal Music !!
The creation starts with the pulse of spiritual wind...resonate through the land.
Simply wonderful. Beautiful.

what a beautiful sight! so amazing keep it up 👏
It's amazing the range of tones you can get from what's basically a hollow tube
A hollow tube made by termites
@@danwilson1040 all hail the termite tube
And don't call it a hollow tude idiot lol
Whats really cool is that the variety of tones comes from the interplay of two resonances. The vibration of the lips creates the first inside the tube, then singing a note creates the second resonance in your chest cavity. Those two combine through wave interference to create a beat freqeuency, which is where volume oscilates up and down at a frequency relative to the difference between the two resonances.
The coolest part is that as a player you can literally feel the wave interference through your body as you shape the sound. Extremely fun instrument
@@SuperMonibuvy this instrument is probably the closest thing we have to sorcery with a description like that
I am amazed at how long he breaths.
I can only play a little more than frequency.
Definitely wanna dance!
There is truly something magical about this

Knubbze he make the same sound with pvc pipes
That makes me want to get out my jaw harp. Except that I do don't remember where I put my white paint. I'm not sure what this has to do with Creation - perhaps the Creator was so bored He came up with an instrument that anyone can play (but not well).
Nice parfum
He reminds me of Bill Bailey.

I got a didgeridoo (pvc type).once I learned how to do it(2 days) I can't stop. The only problem is the circular breathing part. 😫

MAYBE A BIT OF BACKING MUSIC....????
I started looking for didgeridoos after seeing this:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Translate to a Mathamatical Algeritym
this is western modern style. its not traditional didgeridoo. sad.
how do you figure?
@@didgeproject I second, what's the dif?
It is performance removed from cultural context for pseudo-cultural modern audience. Performer wears a costume to lend appearance of authenticity to performance but it is a stage act.
