Julopabene Whenever I do it I get the enemy to overshoot in a climb and always get a perfect shot on their wing but I always spark, I have not been able to get any kills by doing that because of sparks yet it was set up so perfectly. It's because when you are going fast in one direction (lets say straight forward) and pull up slightly, your momentum keeps you going straight, but the plane forces you to go up a little, which produces an effect similar to gravity causing your blood to rush to your legs
I'm just gonna guess that you are refering to firing from a dead on 6 o clock position, right? If so, that's why they absorb your shots... most of them fly past the target because the aspect of it that you can see is relatively small, and rounds that impact at flat angles(mostly on the wings, tail surfaces and fuselage sides) ricochet off. If you use the full tracer belt for the M3 .50 cals, you can even see some of them fly off away from where they hit. And no, this isn't just a theory by me, it's proven and stated fact. Planes do have ricochet/bounce mechanics, just like tanks. You can even read it on the War Thunder Wiki, on the Plane Ammunition article. Avoid firing from directly behind, climb or dive a little so you can fire into the upper/lower rear of the target... even the M3 .50 cals work reliably against jets that way. Hope that helps. o7

You have to fly the Hunter for what it was designed for , and if you´re rly good, you can even turnfight :)
