Those recipes that you are following are there for a reason. It means they're already tried and tested. Also measuring cup for liquid is different from dry ingredients. When you also measure dry ingredients you level them. Now when you crack the eggs, do it in a separate bowl coz if you directly crack it sa mixture tapos bugok ang itlog then everything will go to waste.
I bake this too last week. I was thinking the amount of sugar is way too much so I lessen it, I brought it to my workmates, they said its too bitter daw. hahaha. Next time nga, you really have to follow instructions. I learned my lessons so now I know. ❤️

follow instruction po. and yes, pdeng 1/4 cup lang bawas mo. i also lessen my sugar in the cakes i bake but not that much. and you can actually make your regular granulated sugar into powdered/ confectioners sugar by blending it finely. just add cornstarch with the sugar before blending.

Baking is a science po. In any baking recipe every ingredient has a purpose. Like, in a cake flour gives the structure, eggs bind the ingredients, baking powder and baking soda make it rise, fats like butter and oil make it less chewy, and sugar sweetens and keeps it moist. Also don't mix in a different direction po just use one and don't over mix it 😊

I used to bake choco crinkles before and 1 1/2 cup of sugar is just enough as long as you use unsweetened cocoa. ‘Cause cocoa is a bit bitter esp if it is unsweetened.

About chocolate crinkles meh teknik jan para lalong masarap at sa tingin ko mas magugustuhan ni dan.. add chop milkchocolate bar like hersheys or cadburry or simple good quality of chocolate bar to the batter mixture.and good quality cocoa powder and u will have the best choc crinkles evah..also dan is right follow the recipes..lessen di sugar is a big no no in baking and sometimes the sugar is equal the amount of flour we think its to much sugar but is not...bake it only for 8 2 10minutes not more than that rest it for an hour bfore tasting it..

Icing & powdered sugar are the same. Btw you can use a small ice cream scoop to make the crinkles uniform in sizes.

That’s the logic of baking you really need to follow the instructions it’s not the same as cooking where you can still adjust the amount of ingredients, in baking it needs to be specific. Coz if you don’t, then it’s really up to you just don’t expect the best outcome.

I used to bake choco crinkles before and 1 1/2 cup of sugar is just enough as long as you use unsweetened cocoa. ‘Cause cocoa is a bit bitter esp if it is unsweetened.

Hi rhaze, do 1 1/2 sugar next time. I made this as well last week and i put 1 1/3 and still not sweet enough because the cocoa powder is bitter you need all the sugar. Hehehe!

About chocolate crinkles meh teknik jan para lalong masarap at sa tingin ko mas magugustuhan ni dan.. add chop milkchocolate bar like hersheys or cadburry or simple good quality of chocolate bar to the batter mixture.and good quality cocoa powder and u will have the best choc crinkles evah..also dan is right follow the recipes..lessen di sugar is a big no no in baking and sometimes the sugar is equal the amount of flour we think its to much sugar but is not...bake it only for 8 2 10minutes not more than that rest it for an hour bfore tasting it..

Icing sugar and powdered sugar are the same. You can make icing through powdered sugar and just add egg whites.
