I liked Kate and Ziva. Kate was kinda awesome and she thought Tony was a complete child but Ziva was more sexual I guess. I meant "the old Ziva". She's was so cool
You know what I just realised, especially relative to now rewatching old ncis with kate (just watched the one with ari holding autopsy hostage), I had literally already forgot about this recent shooting. That's how little I care for the current cast, there was no fear of losing anyone.

He was going to be caught stone cold dead before he lost another member of his team in the NCIS building. He didn't hesitate in the slightest. I get this is just a show but its an example of writing that is so wacky that I can't get onboard and it pulls me out of the situation. This guy was supposedly so clever that he not only knew it would cause whoever was watching to rush into the room to help but also hit her head in just the right way to crack the window enough for him to jump through without seriously injuring himself? Yet was panicking trying to crash into random doors while trying to get away? Also somehow managed to stumble into the least trained member of the team that everyone cared about before getting shot from any of the dozen armed agents between them on the way? Oh and to top it off Gibbs was not only the person who managed to get a clean shot off to stop him but that a shot in the back somehow instantly dropped the guy so he couldn't hurt her at all? Like, damn at least make Gibb's instant kill shot a head shot to make it believable.
A shot to the right shoulder blade, if we're generous, the lung. He doesn't go lights out from that. Maybe he loses use of his right arm, depending on where the bullet goes, he quite possibly dies, but it doesn't hit his spine, it doesn't hit his heart, it doesn't hit his brain. Apart from being a quick draw, at some distance, with a hostage on the far side of the target, it wouldn't be up to Gibbs' usual standards in shot placement, either.
Wow, if I had a nickel for everytime there was a shootout in the ncis building, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Some of them might be clerical staff and not armed, and if you have seen past episodes firearms are normally kept in desk draws not on the person.
