The stations look beautiful, those lights and the artwork are very desirable. Intriguing country for sure!

That's true; I've been to North Korea five times and I don't remember seeing anyone wearing headphones. There probably are some around as I noticed that the phones are getting more modern (and more common), but I just didn't see them. Of course, I wasn't looking for them, either. Funny thing is I left mine (big, red Skull Candy Aviators with matching iPod) in a restaurant and they were found and returned to me. I suspect that the only one with an iPhone is Kim Jong Eun, ha ha.

The state doesn't have to invest millions there to repair all of this. For this he invests somewhere else .. No people who jump into closing doors or stop after the departure signal. You could do that with this type of subway car. Unfortunately, they have to save electricity in the wagon, as only the neon lamps on the notices are lit.

These trains are second hand from the subway in Berlin.
In Europe, it's normal until this day that the passengers open the doors manually. The subways here have extensive elevated parts, and when it's cold outside it's a good thing when the doors which don't have to be open stay closed. See here: ruclips.net/video/3IASaRU9kx8/видео.html (yes, that's exactly the same model as in Pyöngyang).

First question you’d need to ask in such a comparison is, how many people does each system move every day? Second question: how many stations does each system maintain? Without knowing those numbers, comparison is pointless. But I can say (having ridden public transit in many countries including the Berlin system in cars just like these), that New York’s may be ugly (though the cars are pretty new and nice), it gets a lot of people where they’re going very efficiently.

You give human ape a choice: To choose between materistically poor life with hardship but with genuine art, national pride and real sense of shared community or materialistically rich life with empty art, individualistic greediness and purposeless existence with no real belonging to anything. Would he, being in every aspect an average human being, ever make choice for real hardship but with real purpose and belonging? Such life is not the one that peasants want. It is one which he has to forced upon to live.
Democracy has led to hopeless, bleak future for our species. Ask scientist which is the most probable outcome with current democratic process of evergrowing consumerism/capitalism. Is it the one with hope or one without? I can tell you that the answer is clear. There is no other way if our current way of living continues.
Peasants have to be subdued once again. Democracy is absolutely best in principle, but absolutely worst in practise. For democracy to work, at least 50% of voting population would have to be wise enough to make good choices and see through lies that surround them and are being fed to them everyday by consumerist society. To think that they can do this, is absolutely ridiculous. Again, ask science of our impact on our ecosystem. It is clear that peasants do not care. It doesn't matter if they are just too lazy to think or too stupid to literally think, the outcome is the same.
Peasants cannot be allowed to have any kind of power. Not in any society. Not in theirs, not in ours. There has to be quality over quantity in governance.

      From Revelations in the Bible:
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
