For those that didn't know: aside from the note that tells you their weakness, there's a big message in an area before another giant that tells you that overheating their bellies is the weakness of some of them. This expansion rewards exploration. And this puzzle enemy is no exception.
It's rubbish,it requires things ,I hit same boss with 7 small pots and 3 large pots, it didn't make a dent in it's health, all hit, a lot of broken stuff in dlc
The Embers of Messmer and Furnace Visages are infinitely farmable btw. If you go down the lift at the Shadowkeep main gate (starting from the top), you exit at the bottom and to the left is a small knights camp near a dead furnace golem. The knights (about 5 of them in that small camp) have a chance to drop Furnace Visages (I got about 4 from reloading the Shadowkeep main gate site of grace 6 times). Not sure if a silver scarab talisman helps but I had one equipped anyway. There is also 1x Ember of Messmer in the same knight camp on the ground. You can't miss it as its red and stands out on the ground on a white bit of rock. For crafting heavy pots, you can infinitely farm Roundrock from the Ellac downstream site of grace. There are 3 in total near that grace and you can grab all three in about 30sec or less and reload for more. The easiest one of the three Roundrock to spot is directly across the waterfall from the site of grace in a corner next to the stone wall. There are videos on this for farming Embers of Messmer, Furnace Visages and Roundrock. That's the gist though if you're running low or out of heavy furnace or fire pots. I fan out of furnace pot mats and thankfully was able to make more doing this
ia there a hint in the game? how should I know to throw hefty fire pots into him? well at least the first I fought wasn't that hard when you learned that 1 jump is enough to dodge the leg fire
@@hamziche95 oh i always read the inventory At least of key items and notes. And yeah I just didn't have the note yet. Apparently it's somewhere where I haven't been yet

@kristofize yep I tried that. I tried exactly what he did in the video. I went back and did it again and it worked. There's a note that says to not use fire pots on the furnace and not to use the whirlwind fire pots. I think I found it in a cave.
This is horrible design, it’s constantly doing that stupid flame attack and it’s impossible to get it to move to the right place and the ONLY way to actually deal significant damage is through hefty fire pots? I guess every FromSoft DLC needs that one garbage enemy, and this is one of the worst offenders

@@hamziche95 the issue is you are given 0 direction to beat it, the alternative ways to beat it are absurd and inefficient due to its bloated stats and moves dedicated to beating the positioning required, and even if expected to experiment who tf is gonna start throwing fire pots in the top of it? this boss is easy, u dont need pot or riding horse to beat it. when it stomps, just jump and you can avoid the flame. when it jump off with 2 feet, just run away from it a little bit and jump, the range is not as huge as it seems. always stay behind it so it cant grab you. that's it.
Watch the video before commenting. You're talking about the regular ones, not the armored ones. Their legs don't take damage, and their face mask is too high up for most spells to hit and grossly immune to any sort of damage anyway, so even that is a no go. You're basically forced to go farm limited materials at a chance to beating these. Great game design.
