Ginger Floof it's mostly pressed double stroke rolls, your drum has to be super tight to get to his speed, the weak hand has to be somewhat worked to do it

You play like the way I’ve been aspiring to play. No joke. I’m 45 years old next week and about 4 years ago I fell out of love with metal drumming and gravitated towards blues funk rock and Fell in love with John Bonham’s play. I started taking lessons in 1984 and that went on until about 1987 from there I just took what I learned and enjoyed playing drums. But now I want to reallylearn retrain my brain to play how you’re playing I love it it’s got so much rhythm and soul and funk it Hass to feel good to bust out those rhythms and I want to know what that feels like as well I guess enough practice and I’ll get there I’ve made improvements but I’m nowhere near the level that you’re at thank you for this video I will watch this one often and subscribe of course. Could you give us a breakdown of that beautiful kit? Thank you!

Head responsiveness and tone on the snare is amazing. Toms sound very pleasing with harder hits and resonates very well. Toms have full tone and seems to have the same responsiveness as the snare. Overall great sound my only complaint is the tuning of the base drum sounds very flat and seemed to carry the echo when the snare was on. In my honest opinion that snare sounds amazing and you are truly a technically sound drummer keep up the great work. I did notice the set as a whole did not seem to be mic’ed and thus impressed me even more. When I played it was all remo heads and even then I never had the quality I hear from these. Ps just side note I watched this on a crap iPhone and still was blown away.

You’ve put all of your time and energy into making a great “cake”. No need for “frosting”...esp the kind that you want to scrape off with your fork. That’s what makes your playing so dynamic and refreshing. I love your fluid style, stick control & dynamics. You had a damn good teacher and you are a damn good student and player. But then again you already know that. No need for smoke and mirrors. You have the soul and playing ability of a pure drummer. You continue to inspire me to work on my skills (rudiments!) and I’ve been dreaming for a very long time. This is great energy you are bringing forward.into the Universe.

Man, those singles. Those doubles. Those rolls. Those grooves. That stick control. And yes, those crazy heads.

Your rolls! It’s hypnotic watching you play, and it makes me want to do one of two things: practice or quit lol

It's the mastery of the light hand, the light grip on the sticks while maintaining complete control. Beautiful to behold.

Mr. Mclean your rolls are very clean!! beautiful heads ,they sound really great.
But your playing is doing so much to make it sound like this!

I'm a drummer and I don't want to just watch a drummer playing.
So, why could watch this guy all day?
